The bed was dirty and when they mived us into another room. The bathtoom wasnt so clean. The toilet was dirty and the vanities the the room were broken and very old.

We checked out right away. We had 2 years child with us. There’s nothing for anti-slip, there’s a concert next-door our room #131 next to the street. Very loud the whole room are shaking because the music and a lot of people’s tried to open our door. We are trying to talk to the manager. But receptionist said not manger here and also said a lot of peoples had same issues like us when we’re in the same room #131. Every one end up to check out the same day.

I would never stay here. As soon as I saw the room I got out. Smelled horrible. And had mold on walls. There was hair on the bathroom floor and a used towel that was hanging on the bathroom door.

Floors were sandy, no washcloths, hand towels, kleenex, coffee, creamer, shampoo, conditioner, soap. Bed sheets didn't fit & kept pulling off of mattress. The place looked like they house the homeless & drug users - vacationers are an inconvenience. Never in my 67 years have I been so disgusted with a hotel booking

Room was clean but like weirdly empty and reeked of cigarette smoke. Other guests were loud well into the night. No smoke detector in room and no bedside lamps. Staff was friendly and the price was affordable. Probably wouldn't stay again but was adequate for what I needed.

Bull doze the place
Our room was disgusting. We booked a non smoking room and it reeked of cigarettes and have ashes in the corner of the room. Smoke detector has had it battery removed. The floor and bed was so nasty we couldn’t put our belongings there. Door hair and long hair everywhere. Someone shaved the face/head in the bathroom sink and it was still there. I would not recommend staying there.

This place was gross. The fire alarm had been ripped out of the wall. Bedroom filthy. Room filthy. Pool was disgusting and green. Trash all over the parking lot, including tires. Hairs all over the place. Front door did not work. Sheets and towels dirty. We left and did not even stay there.

What i like about Fairgrounds Inn is its location right across from the Monterey Fairgrounds. They have also installed solar and have begun up grading the motel, which we have observed over the last several years going to Monterey Jazz. What I did not like, was no chairs, no water glasses, no hair dryer, a broken toilet paper holder, a dresser which was old and worn and had drawers that did not fit properly, no reading lights, and that we had to ask for hangers. The bed only had a bedspread and no extra blankets. We used our own tap blankets we brought with us. I realize times are challenging, but when we first came to stay there, all those things were available. The remodeling in a room we had in other years reflected a big improvement, but not in the room we were given this year. I would like to support them because I am sure they need the business. They did have available rooms which is unusual for Jazz Fest. However, I would like them to take care of these issues as it really detracts from their entire operation. They have a great location and a great opportunity. I hope they make some changes.

The beds were bad. The first room we had you couldn’t open the door without putting your shoulder and full body weight into it. The next room wasn’t completely clean. They have trash on the property which would be easy to clean up but they don’t. I’m not a harsh judge of motels but this one needs some work.

We had to ask for face cloths. The room floor was dirty and they had a coffee machine but no coffee to use in the machine. Building was on a hill so the parking lot was slopped and hard to find a spot to park. Very poorly managed, I don’t recommend this place.

Based on the photos, the property look nothing like what the photos represented, and it wasn’t till after we booked the room when we cannot get a refund that horrible review started to come forth I am physically disabled. I was placed on the second floor with two flights of stairs to get to my room, there is no elevator, the rooms were dirty, the linen was dirty. We used our own blankets to place over the bed. The furniture in the room was old and dirty. Our carbon monoxide monitor kept going off, so rather than replace the battery they came in and took it out, completely leaving us on safe And the most ridiculous part of our stay was the only kid size housekeeper who was so rude beyond belief told us she leaves at 11am and we should have asked to have room cleaned before she leaves for the day although check in is not until 3pm so how would we know the room sad not cleaned? We reported her behavior to management but nothing was done. The 2nd day same issue with housekeeper she literally argued with us because she failed to mop the nasty floor. So she finally shows up to clearness room & decides she would video record us in the room which is against the law in California as we ststed we did not give her permission to record I’d or our belongings but she was so rude and made the stay that much worse. Convenient location next to the fairgrounds.
Came here for a business trip, working the Caliroots festival. Convenient location next to the venue that I worked at. The outside of the property is a bit sketchy, but the service is great! The rooms on the hill can be scary too get to, but the room itself is spacious. Microwave and mini fridge included. Also wifi and parking.

It wasn’t what was shown in the pictures. The place was very sketchy. Rooms where not adequate for stay. I guess they did as much as they had staff for. But this inn needs a deep cleaning and a revamping asap. Manager was nice an accommodating but the property is way to old. Did not look like the pictures at all.

In the beginning we had room #131 which was a dump. Dirty and 2 towels and no trash can. I had emailed for a ADA room. They eventually moved myself to a ADA room below and my friends shared a 1 bedroom. I will not be coming back to this place or referring any friends there.

Forfærdeligt ophold. BLIV VÆK! Lejet værelse for 1 nat. Meget spartansk møbler, ingen sengelamper, en kaffemaskine men ingen kaffekande, slidte møbler og seng. Meget snavset på værelse og badeværelse. Beskidt sengetøj. Meget uro fra de andre værelser. Midt om natten er der hunde på værelset ved siden af som gør, til trodt at hunde ikke er tilladt. Meget dårlig internet forbindelse. Eneste godt er tæt på byen og centrum. Ikke pengene værd!

FYI, I stay at cheap motels all around the world. This one was THE WORST. There were filthy, used towels and wet, used, half bay of soap in the bathroom. When I exchanged them for clean ones, the “clean” ones had hairballs attached. The floor was so grimy that I had to wash my feet after walking around the room. Trash was present on the doorstep, the sidewalk, and all around the property. No chairs were available in any of the rooms, even upon request. The Wi-Fi didn’t work. Customers are required to pay for ice from the ice machine. So grossly unsanitary and uncomfortable, I checked out the next morning at 8 AM instead of staying for the entire weekend. The staff in the office were friendly and polite.

Our room was dirty and dusty. The floors were sticky. We did not have a trash can, cups to drink wanter, small towels or even a chair to sit on. The tub was dirty too. They did not leave an extra blanket for the chilly night. We had to walk down the parking lot at night to just ask for those basic items. This is a low budget hotel near the airport but even at that price, they should treat their guests more respecfullly.

Close to beach but this hotel was very disappointing the hotel room was filthy was not clean bathroom was dirty no hand soap no shampoo floor was so dirty that you could not take shoes off . I had my kids with me and they even said omg mom this is a dirty place. . Tv was not working not a place I would ever stay again after paying almost 600. I never in my life given a bad review but this was awful. Also a lot of people out and about on property that you didn’t feel safe. One other big issue I had was while we were out the cleaning people came and only fixed bed even when we didn’t request it and left curtains completely open exposing our personal belongings for everyone to see what we have in our hotel room ! I did not appreciate that at all.

Cet hotel est extrêmement cher pour une chambre délabrée et aucun service. Un exemple, j'ai signalé ne pas avoir de poubelle, ni dans la chambre, ni dans la salle de bain, on m'a assuré s'en occuper, je ne l'ai jamais eue. Je pense avoir payé le fait d'être à Monterey. Je trouve que hotel.com devrait deréférencer cet établissement. Je recommande de plutôt regarder vers Carmel, à 10mn en voiture, charmant village où vous aurez un logement correct dans la même gamme de prix.

I like the fact that they have installed solar and have up dated their bathrooms. BUT... there were no hangers, no hair dryer, no conditioner and a tiny think two pieces of soap, as well as no glasses or paper cups. We had to ask for a wastepaper basket, a chair, extra pillow. And when asked about the missing items the site manager said it was housekeeping not his responsibility. Housekeeping said they were not supplying hangers etc While we applaud their upgrades we were very unhappy with the lack of the amenities mentioned above. We have gone to this hotel for several years and we are really questioning whether we will go back.
