Lovely oceanside hotel in a quiet and convenient location just 5 mins from Cannery Row and Downtown (on foot). Great array of coffee shops and restaurants nearby and parking on site (extra). Staff at the hotel are lovely. Polite and well informed, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. A continental breakfast is served in your room.

Clean rooms, walkable distance to beach and dining, and very nice location. Hot tub was perfect for night time soaking. Would definitely stay here again.

Sehr hellhörig, wenn es noch ein Zimmer über einem gibt und die Gäste sich nicht leise bewegen können, dan. hört man jeden Schritt. Das Frühstück wird auf dem Zimmer serviert. Für uns war es zu wenig. Es gab einen Fruchtteller, zwei hard gekochte Eier, zwei kleine Joghurt und drei kleine Muffins. Dazu zwei kleine O-Säfte und eine Kanne Kaffee. Mehr gab es nicht.

Stayed one night. Front desk staff were professional and so helpful. The room I got was spacious, luxurious and clean with a lovely view, even better than what I expected. Would totally stay here again.

We had a big room with a little patio with a great view. I loved the continental breakfast served in our room. The only sounds at night were the barking of the harbor seals close by which I loved hearing

Views are spectacular. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can walk to everything you might want to. Only downside is the sea lions barking at night.

This was a lovely place to rest our heads for an evening! The location is incredibly convenient, walking distance from both a beach and the tourist center. Just be prepared to pay for parking on top of paying for the room. We street parked since we were there only briefly, but otherwise, it's pretty necessary to park at the hotel. Breakfast was simple but nice and delivered right to our room! The view was stunning.

The room was very dated. The bathroom had slow drains for both the sink and shower and there was little to no hot water. I actually left before I took a shower because the water never got hot enough. The room was comfortable but the hot water was a huge issue for me.

We had a harbor view. Loved our view. We had easy access to the cannery rows, restaurant and the wharf. Everything was walking distance. However, we had trouble locking and opening our sliding door to our balcony. That should get fixed.

I honestly can't understand the positive reviews this hotel has. Our stay was awful, the building is old and not in a charming way visible cracks in the walls, chipped/stained furniture etc. The main selling point it's balcony with a view of the ocean was nice BUT they neglected to sound proof the sliding glass door. The sound of seagulls is nice at first but quickly becomes a noisy nuisance when they're right outside squawking all night. They said the room had a king bed, it was a queen. The fold out couch bed was uncomfortable and the beds were itchy we felt like things were crawling on us at night. The hot tubs were mediocre and cramped. Overall I wish we had stayed just down the street at the much nicer and larger hotel with the large lobby and built in restaurant (you know the one I'm talking about) I wouldn't recommend staying at the Monterey Bay inn.

Perfect addition for getaway trip
Had a great night stay here with my daughters. This Hotel had everything I was looking for. Beautiful view. Short walk to the aquarium, beaches, and to fisherman's wharf. Price reasonable and more affordable then other hotels nearby. Breakfast included which is a major plus. They have a car charger which was super helpful for us! Definitely will return. Will bring a stroller for my littlest next time to make walking to places easier.
