Read the fine print before booking ANYTHING on Expedia Hotels. I expected to pay around $1,850 for the length of my stay. However, I ended up paying close to $2,200 because of two types of taxes and resort fees for every day. Oh and the tax changed based on the date. The fine print does say tax not included, but it does NOT say the hotel charges multiple tax rates. Did not have this problem with Hotel.com.

The bed was comfy. The room was very clean. We walked in the bathroom and could smell bleach which is a good thing. Housekeeping was so nice. We asked for a fan and they found one for us. The location was convenient. Everything was walking distance or you could take the trolley for free to Fisherman's Wharf. The restaurant makes the best breakfast sandwich. The restaurant staff was attentive and nice. The restaurant was very clean. The only drawback was that we stayed in room 262. It faced the street. So on Saturday night it was so loud that we didn't get much sleep. Do not stay in a room that faces the street. The next day was quiet and we were well rested. All the staff was nice and helpful. From the valet to the bellman.

Brought our 9 month old baby here for her first over night trip, everyone was very accommodating snd friendly. Highly recommend dining at their restaurant for breakfast the next morning! They were also able to allow us to check in super early which was great for the baby to take naps in between going to the aquarium and other activities.

From the moment we parked, to the front desk, Bell, man, the cleanliness and overall appearance of the entire hotel. Was absolutely beyond what I was expecting. The beds, the pillows everything was so comfortable. The view was amazing. I am never gonna stay in another hotel in Monterey again, I’ve been to Monterey since 2008 with my kids and this was my first time in this hotel. And I will always stay in this hotel from here on out.

Stay right at the water,nothing better. The nights were a bit chilly,so sitting by the fireplace in the lobby with my wife was very nice 👌. Loved my stay there.

on this trip we travelled with teens. teens can be loud... but even though they were constantly talking and laughing (just being kids) you could not hear anything from outside the room. this is the quietest hotel i have ever been to. (its the construction i believe). in other hotels i had a hard time resting because you could just hear everything. sweet dreams when you stay here!

The area was great, lots of shops and aquarium nearby. Beautiful view of the bay. Facilities were ok, balcony was about a foot wide and the pool was the size of a hot tub.

We frequent this location and it's great to be so close to so many things. The hotel is clean ans staff is friendly. I wish the patios were a bit cleaner when it comes to food and bugs but it's great for an overnight stay.

Excellent location, central to the aquarium, and shopping. We were greeted by valet staff and upon entering had a smooth check-in, though it would have been helpful to be informed of basic hotel and room amenities (restaurant, bar, pool, gym, etc)- a Small but important detail that sets good service from great service. Room was clean and had nice toiletries and a nespresso machine. We faced Cannery Row so there was some street noise in the morning but not enough to disturb us. The pool and jacuzzi were so small, it was almost like an after thought . Our son enjoyed it but I wouldn’t call it a pool- more like a wide swim lane. We tried some drinks from the C Restaurant bar and they were expensive and tasty. We’ve stayed here a few times and service is good, rooms are clean and comfortable (except the pillows are way too soft for us). We like the location which is a big reason we come back and will stay again.

Valet parking is absolutely worth it, the property is super walkable and there are so many pedestrians milling around. The front desk staff is incredibly thoughtful; they offered me extra water when I checked in, and a free (very nice) umbrella during an unexpected rain shower. Very nice, upscale property. I'd stay here again.
