Jamaica at Elsewhere

It is always nice to vacation with my family. The staff made us feel like we were visiting relatives from the moment we entered ELSEWHERE. The warmth, the smiles, the attentiveness was like a warm hug and a welcome back. The food was delicious and an amazing combination of Jamaican cuisine, mouthwatering flavor, and culinary comfort. We were always excited for mealtime.Rafic’s was like an angel from day one. His professionalism and attention to detail was top tier and his warmth and friendliness made him feel like the favorite uncle to all our family. Nothing we asked seemed too much. And he always made sure our needs were met. Maureen kept everything tidy and was gracious and accommodating. She was kind, patient and took care everything we needed. Kemoy was a gracious and accommodating host. Never had to ask for anything because he was always two steps ahead of us. The sunset boat ride was amazing and so much fun. It was the perfect close to the day. He always followed up with us each day to make sure we were happy and enjoying our stay. He provided information on activities and made sure we had everything needed to make this events happen. The Elsewhere experience had exceeded anything I could have imagined. I cannot thank the staff enough the care and attention shown to my family. It meant the world to me and my family and it will never be forgotten. Until we meet again...

Outstanding, in every way

Elsewhere is the Best! I was a little skeptical of a staffed house. I thought having extra people around would be a negative. Boy, was I wrong. The staff (Kassandra, Kemoy, Maureen, and Rafiq) were absolutely fabulous. The food Kassandra prepared was some of the best I've ever had. All of the staff were so friendly, accommodating, and just wonderful people. The house is great, too. We were there with four kids ages 4, 2, 2, and 1. We spent almost all of our time in the pool or on the private beach right next to the pool (or eating the wonderful food, or drinking the great frozen drinks made by Rafiq, or on the boat with Kemoy). The pool layout is great, with a very shallow end and a nice ledge all around. Again, perfect for the little ones. The house is exactly as pictured. Plenty of places to sit and spread out, so none of the 12 of us there felt like we were on top of each other. Plus Maureen does your laundry every day! It was so nice to get back home after a week of vacation with everything already washed! Oh ... and there is a nice playground for the little ones just a two-minute walk from the house. The house is at the end of a gated street - very quiet, peaceful and safe. The place truly is perfect, and we can't wait to go back again - we're already looking at dates for the next visit!

Incredible family vacation

Our family had an amazing time at elsewhere and couldn't have asked for anything better. Kemoy was an amazing jack of all trades, bartender, boat captain and helped us organize all of our excursions. Kass is a phenomenal chef, every meal better than the next. Rafik kept the property spotless and the beach pristine. Maureen kept all of our rooms tidied and laundry done and ironed. We had a fantastic relaxing week and wish we could live like this all the time. We hope to come back sometime soon!

Great Family vacation

We spent a week w children, spouses and 3 grandchildren under 3. All of us are well traveled. Things couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had their space, and adapted to everything in a few hours. Food was great Kassandra’s food was well prepared, flavorful and catered to everyone’s taste.Including the babies and toddler. Kemoy was great in taking care of the 10 of us, from meal service, to bartending to taking us out on the boat. The rest of staff was cordial and friendly. Except for a day of snorkeling and some going scuba diving, we never left the property There’s not much to improve upon

Amazing stay

Wonderful stay at this house. Staff was amazing, food was delicious and bartenders made tasty drinks! Grounds were well maintained and kayaks were a nice way to start each morning. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing villa in perfect location

Elsewhere by the Sea was phenomenal in every way. We had a group of 7 women on a girls trip and the staff catered to our every need. The location is beautiful, surrounded by water and located in a very safe gated community. Kayaks and paddle boards were available at any time and the boat on the property was perfect for the 7 of us. Cassandra made us appetizers and Kemoy filled a cooler and continued to pour amazing drinks while we watched the sunset. We gave carte Blanche to Cassandra and she most definitely didn’t disappoint! The breakfast spread every morning was amazing and the dinners had such variety and were all so tasty from lobster to jerk chicken, barbarcued ribs, curry chicken … we were never hungry! Kemoy served us drinks by the pool, and kept the drinks coming all day long. Maureen did our laundry everyday, kept our rooms spotless and all the staff had a huge smile on their face at all times. I can’t recommend this villa more! We will be back!

Nothing short of Amazing

Where to start… this was hands down the best vacation my family has ever taken. Kassandra is an INCREDIBLE chef!!! Every meal I thought the food couldn’t get better and it did. Heck I even decided to spend time in the kitchen with her to figure out exactly her recipes. The staff was amazing, kind and helpful. I would come back here without hesitation. Family Vacay and Celebration of Life Ash spreading

Elsewhere is absolutely amazing with gracious staff, incredible food, amenities galore and furnished with beautiful comfort in mind. The only thing that I would have like to have had was a hot tub to soothe my body from the Dunns River Falls hike. We all loved the kayaks, snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, pool and pool goes as well as the availability of the boat Anywhere for use. The sunsets were spectacular from the pool, beach or dock. Every night we couldn’t wait to see what magic Kasandra would be serving up for us. She never disappointed!! This was by far the best family vacation that we have ever taken and we are already brainstorming for our next one!

Beyond Expectations

Ten of us booked a week long birthday getaway and the goal was to relax and enjoy. This house far exceeded our expectations. It was in imaculate shape, well maintained and current. But what put this far above others is the staff. They are AMAZING! Polite, friendly, helpful, respectful and adaptable to your needs. They are there when you want them and not when you don't. I spent 27 years in the hospitality industry as an exec of a large global company. I share this only so readers know I do not give such high praise lightly, When earned, and this is well earned, they should be shared and shouted. Thank you for an excludible week.

Elsewhere is Paradise

10 of us came down to Montego Bay to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday…we stayed for 6 days at Elsewhere By The Sea…A-MA-ZING!!! The pictures on VRBO don’t due this Villa or the experience justice…this is the BEST vacation that my wife and I have ever been on, and staying at Elsewhere By The Sea made it the perfect vacation. The Villa and the grounds are beyond beautiful. The private pool, private beach and open patio/bar area in the back just made everything so convenient and all the more satisfying. The staff…Kemoy (Butler) was the man with the plan and solution for ANYTHING we asked…Rafic (Asst Butler) was everywhere at once making sure everything was pristine as every area looked brand new and unused each time we accessed them, Ms Delores (Housekeeper) took care of our rooms and was on top of things as soon as we stepped out of our rooms every morning…and Kasandra (Chef)…Kasandra is the best Jamaican chef on the planet…if we could take Kasandra back home with us she would be in the seat next to us on the plane…EVERY MEAL WAS A MASTERPIECE…she presented a full arsenal of Jamaican cuisines like we’ve never experienced before. Thank you to Connie and Ms Winsome for assisting with and managing all of the administrative pieces that went into booking this trip and all the arrivals/departures to/from the villa. Elsewhere By The Sea is a Five Star property that I would rate as a 10 out of 10 everyday of the week.

Relaxing and Fun Family Vacation!

Our stay in Jamaica was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the rooms. The food was exceptional. The location itself was perfect, providing us with breathtaking views and a serene environment. 60th Bday celebration with adult kids

We had high expectations going and they were exceeded! the property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. Even better is the veteran staff! Cassandra in the kitchen could teach any restaurant chef where you've had a meal. We gave her an idea of what we wanted and ate every delicious meal at the house...plus appetizers before dinner. Kemoy made drinks all day and helped with serving meals. Tell him you'd like to have a bartenders surprise and you'll enjoy whatever he comes up with for sure. He also doubles as your boat captain and made for some memorable trips on the water. Dolores does a beautiful job keeping the house and bedrooms clean as well as washing your clothes daily...very delightful. Rafick kept the grounds immaculate and filled in wherever needed with a smile. Just can't say enough about the staff...they make the trip. If you need transportation they make all arrangements. We utilized for airport transfers, a golf outing and a fun night on the town...10/10

Stellar from start to finish!

Elsewhere is beautiful! The photos cannot capture the true beauty, energy and ambience of the property. As our van arrived we were greeted by delicious cocktails curated by Kemoy and the welcoming smiles of Kassandra, Delores and Rafic. Throughout our weeks stay we desired for nothing. Each and every meal prepared by Kassandra was a culinary treat for the senses. We could taste the love and soul in each mouthful. Kemoy was so attentive always with a cold drink and a beautiful smile. Our sunset boat trip is especially memorable because as we ended or excursion and approached the dock all that could be seen is a beautiful candle light dinner table on the beach and a steel band! What a birthday! Our night ended with a beach bonfire and lots of great memories. Kemoy out did himself with perfect planning and execution. Rafic taught us how to use the paddle board and beach equipment, pulled it out every morning and kept the grounds immaculate and we especially enjoyed him at dinner with his description of each item. Thank you Rafic! Delores spoiled us daily and her coffee can’t be duplicated! Turn down service every night and fresh clean clothes daily, not to mention her warm spirit. Enough cannot be said about the entire team! The villa is beautiful and Kassandra, Kemoy, Rafic, and Delores, make it feel like your beach front home away from home filled with good vibes and lots of love. Thank you for granting us this experience and we plan to stay again! One Love!

Mother's day Family Vacation.

This property was perfect for our family vacation to celebrate Mother's Day, It has big comfortable furniture where we all played games and had coffee on every day to greet the morning or watch the AWESOME sunsets. I can not say enough about the staff that enhance your stay. The chef Kassandra met all of our requests and exceeded our expectations with her meals and snacks. Delores made sure our rooms, and cloths, were clean everyday and was so welcoming and engaged our family daily. Kamoy makes the best island drinks and Rafic ensured every space outside was pristine. A few items were would have liked to have known were: There will be a staff member that will stay with you in the house every night. They do have their own quarters. Also each trip they make to the grocery store there is a charge of $40. We were not told in advance of this fee. Going out also has its costs- the taxi service is clean and air conditioned but pricey. A 15-20% tips needs to be factored into the stay. Other then those few items our stay was AMAZING. I can not think of anything I would have added to this stunning home. Thank you to the staff for making this a trip to remember.

This property and staff are amazing! This is the first time that we have stayed at a staffed home, and this experience will never be beat. The entire staff at this property is wonderful. They anticipate needs, make you feel at home, suggest activities, keep your home clean, serve you drinks, cook up the best food that you can imagine, help your children snorkel, and become your friends! I wish that we could have them over to the United States and serve them! From the moment that I booked this property, Connie was so helpful. We needed to rent extra highchairs and carseats, and she took care of everything The Chef prepared extra items for the kiddos that she knew that they would enjoy. Their favorite part of the trip was knocking on the door and being served their all-time favorite chocolate cake and ice cream. The property manager stopped by at the beginning and the end of the trip, and told me repeatedly to reach out with any questions that I had. This is a vacation that we will never forget, and hope to do again soon!

The perfect choice

Our only disappointment in our review of Elsewhere is our inability to give more than 5 stars. We were 3 families (6 adults, 6 teens) of first time visitors to Jamaica. We were looking for a relaxing place in a beautiful setting with some concern about safety and a desire not to stay in an all-inclusive. There is simply no better home that we could imagine. The home is better than advertised and had everything we could have needed. It was fully appointed, comfortable and well maintained. Communication with Connie was prompt, helpful and started immediately from booking, easing each concern we had (including safety which was a nonissue). We had never stayed in a home with a staff but this group made us feel at home without awkwardness and totally made the experience. As a result, we had a place better serviced than any hotel and a private restaurant with full menu of Jamaican specialties. We were advised on outings and spent a day at Chukka (ATV, horses, zip lines) and deep sea fishing (Just Hook It Charters). Kasandra cooked us fresh tuna and Mahi we caught. Transportation was fully arranged for the week. Extra touches made the week fun for the kids (and adults) including the pool, canoes/paddle boards, and the boat. Boat trips with Kemoy from the house dock for snorkeling, sunset or trip to Doctors Cave were an unexpected but amazing enhancement. After staying at rentals all over the world, Elsewhere tops our list and we plan to come back on our next trip to Jamaica.

Enjoyable Week With Friends

Villa as advertised. Staff was outstanding - several have been there for 10 years. Meals all excellent. Pool was warm. Great “hang-out” areas. All made it a very enjoyable week. Snorkeling off beach was only marginal - but a short trip by boat to the reef was very good. Calm bay for easy kayaking and paddle boarding.

50 & Fabulous Birthday Celebration

Ahh-mazing!!! 5 couples comfortably lived in the villa for 8 days! The staff is EVERYTHING!!! They are so attentive, yet you forget they are there! Miss Dolores watches out for everyone and makes sure you are taken care off on and off site of the villa, she’s like a grandmother and auntie all in one! Miss Kassandra’s cooking skill are unmatched! I’m vegan and she made all my dishes vegan friendly even the desserts and everything was absolutely delicious and that’s an understatement! Kemoy is there to take care of everything else from bartending, to captain of the boat, serving dinner, answering questions and directing us wherever we wanted to go. Rafic is the master behind the breathtaking grounds in addition to serving us with love and care! This was truly the best experience and we will be back with friends, family, ourselves, whatever our plans this is where dreams become reality! Thank you again to everyone you all made us feel like royalty! Pictures don’t do justice and reviews are on point! I love this place, thank you having us!

Truly Outstanding!

It’s been two weeks since our family visited and we are still talking about our week there! The house was amazing, clean, and up to date. We definitely took advantage of the pool, paddle boards, kayaks, beach, and boat. Besides the house being fabulous, what really made us feel at home were the people, Kassandra, Kemoy, Rafik, and Delores. To say we were treated like guests is an understatement. They treated us like family, all very welcoming and going above and beyond. Kassandra made the most amazing meals! From chicken fingers and waffles for the kids to caramelized salmon, jerk chicken, lobster salad and much more. She truly is a fabulous chef! Rafik helped Kassandra with meals and made sure we had everything for the beach and snorkeling. He was a ray of sunshine each morning. They both memorized what our kids preferred for meals and what the adults liked as well. Kemoy was an amazing boat captain, making sure our kids had a good place to fish and we all had fun snorkeling. Kemoy also made sure we had all we needed throughout the day. A true gem. Delores, just like the others, also very warm and lovely! She did our laundry each day, checked in with us throughout the day and made sure we were happy. Again, everyone was amazing and made the trip extra special. There’s so much more I could say! We did reserve transportation and glad we did. Nice to have a car at our disposal. Thank you Connie and Winsome! We look forward to returning!
