“More Than a Vacation - A Deeply Personal Experience”Every now and then, you take a trip that doesn’t just give you memories, it gives you perspective, peace, and a deeper connection to the people you love. That was this trip for us. My wife, our daughters, our grandson, and my MIL spent time together in this private villa. From the moment we arrived, it felt like more than just a getaway, it was a reset. Each day started with me out on the pier, watching the sunrise, doing yoga and taking it all in. The lagoon out back was filled with water activities. We went snorkeling, bamboo rafting, explored, danced, and embraced every part of the island’s beauty. But what truly made this trip unforgettable was the care and kindness of the people in that home: -Howard, our driver, became our protector, our guide, our storyteller - someone we quickly came to trust. -Arleen, our chef, brought meals to life with love and island tradition. -Robert made sure no one in the house, not even our two-year-old grandson, went without fun or adventure. He even took my wife and me on a last-minute sail that was nothing short of magical. -Colroy, the butler, was a quiet leader. He anticipated our needs, and reminded me that the highest form of service comes from awareness and love. If you’re looking for more than just a vacation… if you’re looking for something that feeds the soul - this is it. Exceeded High Expectations

Based on the previous reviews, we expected the property (and the staff) to be great. Our experience, though, was above and beyond great. The property is exactly "as advertised". The home, pool, and grounds were spotless. The home's staff were friendly, gracious, and accommodating. Arlene (the home's chef) prepared 3 meals/day for 7 days, all of which were outstanding. I could go on and on: the bottom line is that this place was fanatastic and we will definitely return.

Family spring break

We stayed at Afimi house for a relaxing week over spring break and can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment we saw Howard greeting us with a big smile at the airport we knew we were in excellent hands. We arrived at the house, late evening and were greeted by Colroy who refused to allow us to carry our bags “you’re on vacation, mon” The home is beautiful, spotless, and open to breezes all day long and when you are ready for bed, your room has been readied for you as you prefer - we had doors closed and air conditioners running when we turned in for the evening. Arlene, the chef is amazing. We drew up a menu together and shopped with her as well (our preference - wanted to see the island grocery store). She prepared traditional Jamaican food as well as requests (and homemade dessert!) During the week we ate things like oxtail, jerk chicken, mackerel in a coconut sauce, fritters, snapper, grilled lobster. On our final night everyone prepared a meal on the beach which was the perfect ending - torches, candles, and delicious food. Every morning Colroy had the doors open and coffee waiting by the time we were up. Every afternoon we were there he offered up the island’s best pina colada served poolside. He set the tables with beautiful dishes and different decor nightly, and was quick to answer questions and assist with anything we needed. The staff is rounded out by Robert (grounds) and Fiona (housekeeper - she even did laundry!!) the staff is like a family.

Don't hesitate - book AFIMI!

If you are unsure of whether to book this villa, don't hesitate! It is 100% worth it. After researching 100s of villas around Montego Bay for our week-long family vacation, we landed on AFIMI and so glad we did - couldn't imagine a better villa and staff! The four bedrooms where all very comfortable with ensuite bathrooms. The common areas were great for hanging out and relaxing. The outdoor space is truly exceptional - with a bunch of seating options, an infinity pool, and your own private beach (with the comfiest cabana!). The property was perfect, we barely left! We don't think the photos even do it justice. And to make the property even more special, THE STAFF! They absolutely spoiled us. Colroy took care of all our needs - having coffee ready every morning, treating us to Pina Coladas in the afternoon, and setting and cleaning up all meals. Arlene is such an incredible chef, we wanted to take her home with us! Her food is absolutely delicious - highly recommend the fajitas, fish tacos and shrimp curry. There wasn't one breakfast, lunch, or dinner that wasn't top notch. Fiona kindly provided housekeeping services and even did our laundry. She kept everything looking clean and tidy throughout our stay. Robert kept the grounds and beach looking pristine. We highly recommend booking Howard. He took us wherever we wanted to go and did multiple airport trips for us. He made us feel safe, and gave us a tour of the island. 20/10 - can't rave about this villa and team enough!

Holiday Getaway

We returned from a week stay at the Beach House. Our family of 4 and another family of 4 each had our own rooms. The accommodations were exactly as stated and the staff was incredible. The 1st nights dinner was served on the beach and made for an incredible start to the trip. Make sure to bring water shoes if you want to enjoy the Ocean. We can't wait to return.

Amazing family trip

Our family of 7 including an 8 month old had the best vacation and Thanksgiving at Afimi. The house is spacious, clean, comfortable and as beautiful as pictured. We enjoyed the sailboat, kayaks and paddle boards and having our morning coffee out on the dock watching the sunrise. The area is safe and quiet and we took long walks and runs. The staff, Chef Arlene, Colroy, Fiona, Howard and Robert are professional and kind. We have allergy restrictions and chef Arlene created three safe and delicious meals a day. We cannot stop talking about the sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving dinner. Other favorites were grilled lobster, jerk chicken and shrimp curry. Colroy had coffee and fruit ready for us early every morning. He created beautiful dinner table settings on the beach, on the upper porch or on the deck. He was always available to get us anything we needed. Fiona had our beds and towels fresh everyday. She did our laundry and took special care of the baby’s laundry. Robert helped with the boats, kept the beach area clean and brought us fresh coconuts to drink. Howard was a safe and reliable driver and took us to the beach and golf and taught us about the history of the island and the people. This was my third trip to Jamaica over decades. It is a beautiful island with kind people. I always felt safe and hope to return to Jamaica and the Afimi.

Phenomenal Family Vacation!

This property was absolutely amazing and exactly as pictured in the listing! The property was extremely serene and relaxing. We loved the pool, direct access to the private beach, sonos system throughout the house, and amazing staff service! Everyone was welcoming and hospitable to all of our needs. We highly recommend bringing a large amount of cash while staying on the island.

Once In A Lifetime

WOW!! We have nothing but overflowing love for this villa. The memories our family made not only with us, but with the staff (Coleroy, Chef Arlene, Fiona, Howard) will last a lifetime. This place is filled with love, attention to detail, cleanliness, incredible views, amazing hospitality. The food by Chef Arlene is to die for! She cooked for us all week and waking up to breakfast on the table at 9am every morning - cooked to perfection - was a dream. She is such a joy and lovely human. Coleroy attended to our every need and was just so warm hearted. Fiona would make our beds and provide fresh towels and sheets every morning it was just so sweet - she was also such a kind hearted human HOWARD! He became like a father to us - we always felt safe when being transported by Howard and he taught us so many things about the island! Howard is one of the sweetest, kindest, most genuine souls. This place is truly magic. A once in a lifetime experience as we normally dont have the kind of money to stay in places like this. Just incredible - we miss it so much already and the Jamaican family we made. We wish we could come back every year.

Wonderful stay sadly cut short by hurricane

We stayed 3 of 7 nights and it was fantastic. The staff and food exceeded our expectations and the hose is the perfect beach villa. The owner was very nice and accommodating and helped us to get out of harm’s way. We knew we would be taken care of no matter if we got a fight or not. He even allowed us to rebook with him in the future so we are looking forward to going back to Jamaica soon. Look no further than this for a true luxury vacation house that has it all. Thanks to all the staff!

Literal paradise for the whole family

I cannot say enough about what an amazing vacation we had at this beautiful villa. The owners are extremely responsive and answered all of our questions almost instantly. The home and grounds were gorgeous. Truly the pictures do not do it justice! There was ample room for our whole family of 6, (2 parents with 3 adult children and one fiance) to have privacy and space. There were also beautiful spaces for us all to come together in the family room for games and movies, on the deck for coffee, in the pool for pool games, and at various large tables for our family meals. Colroy made coffee in the morning and set beautiful tables for all of our meals, each one more breathtaking than the last. He anticipated wants and needs we didnt even know we had like pina coladas by the pool and cold bottles of water in the heat of the day. Arlene, the chef, prepared beautiful, delicious meals. My daughter and I are desperately trying to recreate a jerk chicken salad that she made that was divine! Fiona made sure that our rooms were always clean and fresh. Howard, the driver, was available and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was incredible to be so very well cared for. We all lead busy lives and came from all over the country to be together and this villa, with their amazing staff, allowed us to just focus on spending time together and making precious memories. We are so grateful and already dreaming of our next visit.

Dream Vacation

The property was everything it claimed to be and more! The communication from the hosts Stuart and Nicola was outstanding. They were very responsive too all my questions. The onsite staff Colroy, Arlene, Fiona & Robert made us feel right at home from the time we arrived. Colroy was always there whenever we needed something; he makes the best Pina Coladas! Arlene the chef made the most amazing meals. We really enjoyed trying some of the local cuisine she made for us. Fiona always had a big smile on her face and made sure everything was very tighty. She even played ping pong with some of the guys. Robert had the grounds looking amazing. He even took the time to find some seashells for me to take back home for my granddaughters. I cannot say enough about this staff, they truly helped make this trip an amazing experience! We also had a driver for the week. I definitely would recommend Howard. He always made sure we were well taking care of and made us feel safe. He was there every day and took us wherever we wanted to go if needed. We spent the majority of the time at the Villa. But we did travel to Negril one day and he took us on a tour of Montego Bay and any errands we had to run. It was a vacation of a lifetime for my husband & I and three other couples we traveled with. I don't know how we'll ever top this trip; it was a dream vacation! We'll be sure to refer our family and friends to this beautiful Villa in Montego Bay.

Spectacular

Thank you Afimi, thank you Colroy, Arlene, Fiona, and Robert— magnificent staff of a fabulous place. This was my second stay; the first was in 2020. It was wonderful to see the same amazing Butler (with a gift for decor and kindness), Chef (with first class skills, producing innovative, beautiful meals), Housekeeper (keeping everything tip top, with gracious good cheer), and Yardman extraordinary. The property is beyond gorgeous. I hope to go back.

Amazing Stay

A wonderful way to celebrate our the last leg of our 50th trip around the sun! Our group of five women very much enjoyed our stay at AFIMI. The house was EXACTLY as pictured and described -- so much space and everything was in great condition. We loved doing whatever we wanted - be it kayaking, SUP, reading, relaxing by pool etc without having to worry about anything. The meals were delightful and the staff were kind, but unobtrusive. The house itself is a small gated community, we never felt at all unsafe.

Thank You for opening Your Home to Us, all in our Group were amazed, some comments were, this is the best place we have stayed. This was the first time Dave and I have stayed any place with a staff and I am pretty sure that goes for the rest of the group, they were all amazing and I felt very comfortable. Arlene and Colroy fixed excellent meals, Colroy's table settings were always set with care and added a flare to mealtime. The first night Dinner on the Beach was very special. Fiona kept our rooms clean and was always pleasant. Robert kept the grounds and beach looking fresh. Howard the Driver was exceptional with his knowledge of area. Thanks for a great experience!

Great alternative to large resorts

We really enjoyed our time at Afimi. As many have noted, I don't know if we'd have the same feeling if it weren't for the staff. It's clear they have a deep sense of pride for what they do and the care they take of the home and it's guests. We traveled with 5 young children. It was evident that they were used to guest with kids as they hit all the marks we came in worried about. Arlene effortlessly guided us through a weeks worth of meals and the kids enjoyed every meal as well as the adults. Colroy was always there and has a chill and knack for service that makes everyone comfortable. His table settings are unmatched! He closed the house down each night and was up each morning readying coffee. Fiona knew just when to sneak in to make the beds and for turn down each night. The beds were amazing too! Tons of pillows, with the added detail of giving each person different types. I love that touch. We slept well! Howard, the driver, got us where we needed to go and was always looking out for the kids and safety when out and about. My only suggestions are to clean up the games and books and replace with new. There was a huge cabinet full of games and cards but almost everything was unusable for missing parts and pieces. We usually travel with games but forgot this time and we couldn't find any at local stores. Some of the books are evergreen but I think "Top 8 Stocks to buy in 2008" can go along with the many self help technology books from the early 2000's.

Beautiful Villa on the bay!

This home is a luxury and private Villa on the bay! The bay is beautiful and calm. We were two families with kids all under 4yo so the beach was perfect for us. Some of us stepped on sea urchins in the water but that just comes with the ocean/bay territory. The staff were great and very sweet. Arlene , the chef, is an amazing cook and we were extremely impressed with all of the meals that she prepared for us. If you have baby who still sleeps in a pack n play, the tv room is a bonus room bc it has AC , office doors and black out shades so this Villa acted like 5 bedrooms for us!

Amazing Christmas and New Years in Montego Bay

What a dream! Afimi is a beautiful home, incredible location, and best of all is the staff. Arlene created amazing dishes combining Jamaican and international foods. Her culinary prowess is spectacular. Colroy was the quintessential host not missing a detail from coffee in the morning to beautifully set tables to anticipating our every need. Fiona maintained a wonderfully clean space and met us each and every day with a smile. Robert always made sure to have a raked beach, a clean pool, and a bucolic setting of flowers and plantlife in the middle of a neighborhood. Stuart was responsive and informative and answered questions before and during our stay. You can enjoy the "Island Red" sunrise or paddle out to view the sea life at the coral reef. Our family of 6 stayed in luxury and comfort due to not only the house, but the fantastic staff. The hardest part is trying to figure out when we will be back!

Wonderful Villa!

We just spent a wonderful week at Villa Afimi. The house is spectacular: roomy, comfortable, beautifully appointed with stunning views. The amazing staff, Colroy, Arlene, Fiona and Robert, took great care of us, and were there to make sure we had a first class experience, including special meals on the balcony and on the beach. We felt truly pampered throughout our stay. For a relaxing week in Jamaica, we highly recommend Villa Afimi.

Pampered Like Royalty

We intended to have a relaxing stay on our Jamaican vacation and Afimi House did not disappoint! We were pampered like royalty by Colroy and Fiona. Arlene served up the most delicious meals. Robert made sure that the pool, beach and lawn were spotless! Our biggest worry on this trip was where we would relax next. Pool? Check. Veranda? Check. Dock? Check. Beach hut? Check. We would absolutely love to come back again! In fact, we never wanted to leave!

Amazing first visit to Jamaica

We booked our family trip to the Afimi Beach Villa and it did not disappoint! We absolutely loved it. The pictures live up to the hype. It was the perfect amount of space for my family (2 adults and 1 kiddo - age 6) and my sister’s family (2 adults and 2 teens - ages 12 and 16) as well as our mother.. We took advantage of the kayaks, paddle board, the small boat and the pool! We did stay 7 days and the only thing I think I would change would be to do one or two more excursions, which is on us. My sister did take her kids to Doctor’s Cove one afternoon and they loved it. We also went to the Houseboat Grill for dinner and I highly recommend it! Onto the food and the staff - the staff are just amazing and the food was top notch. Since we we’re at the villa so much, Arlene did a lot of work creating exceptional meals for us. I have never had three amazing meals a day while on vacation. From the table set-up to food presentations, to having diverse options and tons of to die for fruit, it was just all out of this world. Arlene is a gold star standard from a culinary perspective and a very genuinely kind woman to boot. She was so gracious about our shift in plans and walking us through all of our food options. Colroy got us going with coffee every morning and was attentive to our requests for transport, Fiona kept the place spotless and handled our laundry and Robert kept the outside gorgeous. We highly recommend it!
