Isla de la Plata is just off the coast of Ecuador, a short boat ride and you are to the island which is also a national park. We saw a ton of Blue-footed boobies both adults and chicks. To be honest, the chicks and adolescents are not very handsome birds. We did a nice hike around with a very informative guide and were even lucky enough to see a sea lion on one of the beaches and a whale on the boat ride back to port!

Relaxing and pleasing
The property is as listed. It has all the amenities for a comfortable long stay. It was clean and Sylvie (the concierge) was helpful when we needed her. Si necesitas visitar un lugar nuevo, debes considerar el pueblo de Portoviejo! Portoviejo es el capital de la provincia de Manabi el el país Ecuador. Ellos están sufriendo porque terremoto de 7.8 magnitude y 350 personas murieron. Casi cada edificios colapsaron. El pueblo es trabajando a restaurar la economía. El pueblo es en la costa de Ecuador y es 30 minutos de la playa. Como qualquien otra ciudad, el pueblo tiene los cines y restaurantes. Un comida popular es el encebollado que tiene la Yucca, lemon, agua, cilantro. Es más bien para comerlo con pan! Tan delicioso. Portoviejo tiene una universidad San Gregorio donde los estudiantes van. Y por divertida y una actividad, personas van a los juegos de fútbol todos los domingos. Las personas son muy simpático y amable y les gustan hablar con los vecinos mucho. Es un pueblo bonísimo y necesitas visitar!
