It was three wonderful days of amazing Michelin-level food, hot baths and relaxing in yukata - surrounded by an interior architectural gem. Asahikan is easily accessible from Osaka and Kyoto - a short train ride followed by a short bus/taxi ride. We took the taxi, which was very cheap and easy.

«I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience about this stay. The property is located in an incredibly remote area with absolutely no stores or restaurants nearby. Be aware that the on-site pizza restaurant is closed several days a week, and when it is, you cannot even use the terrace. There are no walking trails around the area, and the owner offered zero recommendations for things to do or places to eat.
