In the Heart of Old Destin. Sunchase town-homes are the original highly-desired beaches of Destin, and you can't get a better seat. You will be within walking distance to some of Destin's favorite Restaurants. 1 block from the Whales Tale There's no pool here, but the ocean is all yours. Just step off your deck onto your own beach.

A 5 min drive of outlet malls, many restaurants, and other retail shopping. Want to go to the Destin Harbor, then give yourself ten minutes driving time, and you're there.

Purchased in 2020 this newly remodeled unit is a 'No smoking, No pets' 1 Bedroom unit which will sleep five people The entrance to this unit is ground level with the only stairs being off the back porch to the beach. The 1 Bedroom Unit comes fully equipped has a King Size Bed, Kitchen and bath. There is also Queen Sleeper Sofa and twin sleeper chair in the living room. There are 2 Flatscreen TV's, and a DVD Player. The Full Kitchen is equipped with Appliances, Dishes, Silverware, and Cookware. There are Linens, Towels, and a private Washer / Dryer for your convenience.

The private balcony is equipped with chairs for a relaxing evenings in the breeze. A staircase from the unit allows all renters direct access to the beach there is also a beach level balcony with an outdoor shower and beach chairs to take to the beach, The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.

There are two parking spot for this rental that hold standard 2 STANDARD cars back to Front. it is directly in front of the unit.

Lastly, no more looking for the perfect beach spot since the unit is deeded all the beach to to the water!

Beautiful getaway spot

Stayed here for a few days to get away from regular life hustle and bustle. The property was exactly what I needed. All the amenities, right on the beach (a beautiful location), close to good restaurants, quiet. Will stay here again.

Perfect location

My husband, 5 year old son, and I had the best week in your unit. It was the perfect size for our tiny family. We really appreciated the pull out chair/bed so our son could sleep close by and we could have the big king bed all to ourselves! The beach is literally steps away which made it so convenient when hauling our chairs and the 1,000,000 beach toys our son insisted on bringing down each day. There’s nothing I despise more than staying in a big, high rise condo and having to haul all your things to and from the beach every day. The private beach was a literal dream! To our left and right, the public beaches were insanely crowded, but we always had our own spacious, private spot right at the water. I’ve already looked in to booking again for next year, but prices are quite a bit higher so unfortunately it might not work out for us. Either way, we had a great time. Thanks!

We love this place!

Steps to the Beach

Wanted a place near the beach for a quick vacation. This place was immaculate and the perfect spot for those getting away with working remotely from the beach. The side door practically opens up to the dunes! It was amazing to sit on the quiet balcony and watch the waves while taking work calls! Will definitely be back. This place had everything I needed.

The views and access to the beach were perfect. The location was great for finding food, drinks, and shopping nearby. There is a golf cart rental office just across the street. It’s an easy walk or cart ride to the music festival area. If you want to be out and about the Dustin area, this is a great budget option for two. Parking is an issue with this property. Two units need to share one spot. It was very unclear of where you could park in a lot across from the whale tail bar. Access appeared to be gated and it’s more than a block away. Luckily our friends had a place down the street with an extra spot to park. If you can get by with a golf cart, and Ubering, it’s fine. We had a full size truck, and it was a hassle. Overall, the property was clean but had a musty smell. Updates/renovations look better in the photos. From the beach side, this property shows its age compared to others around it. Again, this is a nice budget option for two.

Location Location Location

The view and access to the beach was the best part of my stay! The kitchen is well equipped w newer appliances. The furniture is clean and comfortable. It was clean, no sand on the floors, just the typical beach/humid/FL issues. This is a lower unit and you will hear renters above you. I did end up renting chairs and umbrella from a company as chairs/umbrellas/toys provided are shoved in a closet via other renters. The parking is very tight and others renters are not shy to park over lines or in other slots. Bring your own toilet paper, garbage bags, and laundry soap, as limited amounts are provided - it’s like this at most rentals in this area! Overall, good experience, would stay here again!

Good experience!! Only one suggestion for people with sleeping issues...stay in upper level unit. Some people have no respect for others that actually go on vacation to rest/sleep.

Can't beat the view

Always wanted to wake up to the ocean and that's exactly what I got when I stayed at this property. With the beach right outside the back door you can't beat the view. That was the most enjoyable part. Location was a plus. Space was a plus. Dishes were a plus until we tried using the knives. They were all pretty dull. Nevertheless, I would stay here again.

Short weekend getaway.

My friend and I just went down to Miramar Beach to just check out the area for possible future family vacations. Our condo at Sticks in the Sand was perfect for us. The check in process was super easy- James let us know that our condo was ready a little early and we checked right in. I like having door locks with codes so there are no keys to keep up with. The condo was spotless and just as described on the internet. The view was amazing- right on the beautiful beach. The only drawback about the place is the parking can be a little tricky- close quarters to park; especially if you have a large SUV or full-size truck. It was just a great stay!

All you need!

Enjoyed our weekend at Sticks in the sand 2b. Great use of space. Perfect location right in the beach and right between Whales Tails and Pomono Joe’s. Enjoyed grilling our meals and watching the sunset. Would recommend this unit

Overall Good

Parking is tight, property is a little run down on the outside, new appliances, some black mold that you can see on ceiling, wifi is spotty. The access to the beach is nice and good experience overall.
