2024 Beach Trip

Overall, great stay. Property was described well and a great neighborhood. My only suggestions are, the outside grill needs attention or replaced and the outside storage closet as a little dis organized and difficult to get anything out.

Helpful Information

Great location! Nicely decorated! Great Golf cart! Communication with the property manager was not the best. We were not sent email with arrival information. The door lock was not working properly, so when we arrived it took about 15-20 minutes before we could get in. The downstairs shower saw SUPER SLIPPERY. My elderly mother used that bathroom and she almost slipped several times. The up stairs master bath's toilet ran. There was also small lime green bugs in the master bathroom. There was a nice balcony off the master bedroom upstairs but no furniture to sit out and enjoy it. I have stayed at multiple properties in this area and this one was not our favorite

Great Community Lack Comfortable Furniture

Great community and location. Furniture was very uncomfortable especially the beds and couches.Love the recliners. Was out of cable and internet for a day. TVs were dated, didnt have a single smartTV. Saw a couple of roaches in the house. No trash bags.

Family of 8 beach trip, elderly and kids.

The location was great. House was beautiful. The golf cart worked great. Plenty of towels and wash cloths in every bathroom. Nice washer and dryer. Close to the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A few tips that might help, the kitchen could use some additional items for a house that sleeps that many people. More pans and small items like hot pads. The bathtubs were very slippery causing a couple of falls during our stay. Could maybe use a cheap mat inside the tub/shower combos and maybe a handle grip in the bottom bath for elderly that can’t climb the stairs to the walk-in shower. Master bed not very comfortable. Lastly, the air was automatically altered to a higher temperature the day that we were checking out and with the temperature being so high, it made for a hot several hours considering we wake up early and didn’t have to check out until 10. Maybe wait until 10 to change adjust the temperature. We were very compliant with the requested settings. Thank you again for the great trip. The small tips did not stop us from enjoying ourselves immensely.

Great Location…

The property was nice and seem to have the country club vibe! There was everything needed within golf cart travel. Check in process was easy also. The air in this home didn’t seem to really cool the top level of this home. But I’d definitely stay again.. The dishwasher has leaked all over kitchen floor, i mopped it and advised the property management just to cover myself and within 30 minute maintenance was on scene.

ISSUES

Upstairs Master toilet needs to be fixed. Had 2 service calls on it and we still had to take top off and flush with the chain. Mildew all over the upstairs lights, vents, etc. Vents were dirty. Carpeting is completely worn out and had stains all over the place, Worst place we have stayed at in Villa Lago. Really disappointed in the place considering the price point of the place. Most we have ever paid for a place in Villa Lago and worst condition. Sorry for the bad news.

Exactly what we needed

Beautiful home

Our family of 10 had an maxing time in this home! It had plenty of space for all of us and was adequately furnished with everything you could use. We were a little disappointed in not having a 6 seat golf cart as we were told we would and instead had a 4 person golf cart but the property manager did tell us it was being worked on. Besides that we loved this home and will definitely be back.

4 Generation Family Vacation!

Great property and room arrangements. Great grandparents able to have a first floor room with bathroom/shower access! A huge win! San Destin Beach Resort- is like a mini city! Golf cart was priceless! Will come back!

We were extremely disappointed with the service, please refer to the pictures provided. This is our sixth time staying in Sandestin resort and never had any minimal problem with any previous Vrbo. The extremely poor condition of the property, filthy air filters, very old dirty carpet, disgusting bed sheets, gross furniture, and questionable looking pillows were absolutely sickening! Every type of stain one could think of was present in the home: dirt, blood, hair, body fluids, etc. All the walls were dirty and unsightly, the larger golf cart was not delivered in the proper condition as to what was up to par in the area. In fact, the golf cart only worked for 1 day, again refer to the pictures, this created an immense stress to me and my complete family. We are requesting that you to look into the matter and refund the amount of $4000. The house and promised transportation was a complete disappointment, and we all expected higher quality with our reservation.

Not new, just new to the rental program. Disappointing.

This was advertised as a new property, with pictures coming soon, when we booked it. So, we thought it would be new and clean. Apparently it was just new to this rental program. The unit had stained worn carpet in the rooms, stained furniture, dust on the fans, dust on the large artificial plants, dirty floors, which may not have seen a mop for a long time, and a stained entrance rug. The walls had been touched-up in numerous places with unmatched paint, and under many of the touch-ups there was what appeared to be black dots, bleeding through, especially in the bathrooms. One of the shower heads was not functioning properly, and one of the fans was noisy. The aged rusty, golf cart that came with the unit worked for half a day. When calling the property managers we got responses, and a promise to fix that cart, but no actions to fix the cart. Follow-up was lacking. We were expecting the cart to be available to help with the transportation needs of three couples going in different directions, and would not have rented this unit, had we known the cart was not in good repair. The unit had good appliances, and the bedding was up to standards. Though we had a great time with our guests, the accommodations were disappointing.
