Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay and the only thing was that the top drawer of the dishwasher seemed to be broken and the couch could use a good cleaning and we just covered it with a sheet. The location was great and the view beautiful.

Our favorite beach place!

This is our third year staying here at the Westwinds (second in this particular condo). Everything about this place is absolutely wonderful! Beautiful pool area, great view from our balcony, and clean beach. Already making plans for our fourth stay next year! From two fifty-ish couples 😊

The unit was on the 18th floor facing west with a perfect view of the sunset from the balcony. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had basic supplies including both a Keurig and normal coffee machine, and Vacation Haven left nice toiletry packets. The decor in the unit was fairly basic leaving something to be desired on that front. Overall it was a great stay and would recommend.

Absolutely Amazing

Excellent experience from check in to check out. The condo was just as advertised with stunning views of the gulf. The location is absolutely perfect and the unit has sunset views. We try to stay at the Westwinds about every 6 months and this unit definitely did not disappoint. The golf cart is a great added touch to explore the property. My parents joined us for our vacation and it was their first time visiting the gulf and their reaction was priceless. The only negative I can say for this unit is the master bedroom mattress was very hard. We will definitely be back again very soon.

Excellent stay!

Loved staying here. The views from the balcony and bedrooms are great! Pros: - Views, views, views - Good location, close to lots of things - Pool area is awesome - Golf cart is great for getting around Cons: - Mattress in the main bedroom is too firm. But since there were only two of us, we just moved to the other bedroom, which had a much better mattress. - The Hospitality app (which you have to use for all details) has some inaccurate information - especially regarding the pools. Just note during your stay that the pool pictured is just downstairs at the Westwinds; the app says that all of the pools are on the Bayside of the resort.

Not a well-stocked condo, but still lovely experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed the view, golf-cart, and other amenities that Westwinds offers. However, this particular unit had a very poorly stocked kitchen and broken beach extras. The staff at My Vacation Haven was very responsive and quickly brought us a pan, a cookie sheet and pot holders. But I would not recommend this unit if you like to cook in the kitchen. We were also a little surprised at the condition of the SanDestin property. The tennis courts were in disarray, the hot tub was commonly very dirty, and other property items were in bad repair. I hope they address these for next season!

Always a favorite!

It’s the most perfect place for families with children. This condo was a little high as far as heights go, but the views were incredible! The master bed is very hard and in fact we ended up sleeping in the spare bedroom the last night. the kitchen could use some more/updated supplies but otherwise it was great. The property was clean and the Westwinds complex is always immaculate. The golf cart was a fantastic extra feature. The kids loved riding at night to go to the Dunes for ice cream or over to the marina to watch the boats or to Baytowne for all the great activities. Location location location. We will see you next year Westwinds!

relaxing mini vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay as we always do since we started coming to Westwinds several years ago. Unit was great. Good customer service. The only thing we had concern with is that there are always babies with diapers in the big pool. Even though it clearly states on the sign: No Diapered children in Pool" It gets completely ignored, The pool monitor lady never says a word to them but she sure does go after an adult with a drink at pool side. Swimming diapers DO NOT prevent feces/diarreah from leaking into the pool and putting others at risk for e-coli, At any given time, there were one to five babies in the pool. It can turn in to a health issue to other guests if a baby diaper leaks. The CDC states they are not leak proof. Several guests were mentioning this. Again, we love Westwinds and will always come back but this may be something you all want to address at some point . A few more umbrellas would help as well.

The condo was so filthy we left 3 days early!

My family stayed at this condo in 2019 when it was clean, in good shape, had beautiful decor and the golf cart was in good shape. We booked for Sept 16, 2022 - Sept 22, 2022. From the moment we walked in it never smelled clean. We could tell it wasn’t clean and how worn out the condo is now. The owners must not have been here in years because nobody would say it was in acceptable condition. The carpet was so badly stained that it needs to be replaced not “cleaned.” The floors were so dirty our feet turned black and we had to wear shoes. I brought a bottle of Lysol kitchen counter cleaner to keep up during our stay, but I ended up having to use it to clean the master bathroom. The counter tops were black when I wiped them with Lysol. I wasn’t going to set my toothbrush down anywhere! The layers of thick dust on the lighting sconces also proved this condo is never cleaned properly. The black mold on the shower walls was disgusting! The sheets were paper thin and stained! The pillows were lumpy and the mattresses were so uncomfortable. The amount of wear and tear was just so disappointing. It needs to be gutted and redone. For what the owners are charging, they can afford to do that. Also, the golf cart… what a rust bucket now! The compartments wouldn’t open, there was no cover, filthy, there were no seatbelts, so we couldn’t anchor our sons car seat in, which meant we couldn’t use this amenity. The strife it cause between my husband and I was enough for us both to complain so much we packed up and left three days early! We couldn’t take it anymore. Truly disgusted and disappointed! This was our first vacation in three years and it was ruined!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was sparsely appointed with plates, silver are and cooking utensils. It was way overpriced....almost twice what I paid for a similar unit 3 years ago.

Quiet and Relaxing

It was our first time to San Destin. Our condo had everything we needed, it was a great size for two adults who like their space. The view was beautiful! The condo was super quiet, we never really heard or saw anyone in the halls or elevators. We enjoyed having the conviemce of the golf cart as well. The condo its self could use alittle tlc such as touch up painting, some pictures were missing off the walls, definitely screens on the door as we had a bird flying around. The weather was such we didn't want to be in AC. It probably could have been alittle cleaner such as baseboards being wiped down. We will definitely be back! Thankyou Janelle Wilson

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third time staying in this unit. It is a nice size and has a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. We love being able to use the golf cart and not having to get our car out every time we want to go to eat. The unit is always clean and the staff at my Vacation Haven are always helpful.

We loved our stay!

This place is perfect for us….very relaxing, quiet retreat! The golf cart was the perfect ride to the nearby Baytowne Wharf and lots of restaurants and shopping! The beach was perfect with crystal clear water.

Great stay!!

Easy check in! Looks just like the pictures! The unit and building were great…kids loved the pool and beach! Having a golf cart was fun and convenient! We loved the area and our stay!

Sandestin perfected

If you want to have a complication free time in Sandestin, this is the place to stay. Room was well appointed with great ocean views. The golf cart was the icing on the cake, being able to go anywhere within Sandestin on it was probably the best part of the vacation.
