Did you see that cool picture of the hot tub? Me too -- That's why I booked this property! I was in Maple Grove for a family function, and the thought of a great hot tub at the end of the day sounded fantastic. Unfortunately, the hot tub and the pool were closed for maintenance. Apparently, there was a notice about it on the hotel website, but because we booked through Expedia we were not given that information. We asked the hotel for a discount, since the primary amenity we were looking for was not available, and they flat out said no.
Breakfast: OK. There was the same tray of Original Flavor Instant Oatmeal every day. No utensils except plastic forks (spoons, anyone?).
The room: OK. My pet peeve is that hotel room designers refuse to recognize that travelers have suitcases. Luggage. Bags. And when you get into your room you want to put that bag somewhere accessible. I HATE putting my suitcase on the floor. It's just stupid. I called the front desk and asked for a luggage rack -- there are none in the hotel. So I put my suitcase on the couch, which means I couldn't sit on the couch.
The mini-fridge (there was one, thank you) was in a curved cabinet that didn't fit the fridge -- one front leg was in mid-air, so the fridge was constantly tipping and banging.
Staff: Housekeeping was great. Front desk was cold and off-putting.
Not the worst place I've ever stayed, but I think you can do better.
