"This hotel is a truly unique find. Most hotels in the 4-star category resemble more of a 3-star experience, whereas this one feels more like a 5-star hotel. It’s even more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. The rooms are exceptionally clean, spacious, and airy, with views of the pool, well-maintained gardens, and the sea, or of gardens filled with cacti and stone walls. The staff is fabulous and speaks excellent English. The poolside bar serves the best drinks in the area, along with great whiskey for the discerning palate. The restaurant, nestled among cacti and a blooming garden, offers gourmet dishes at surprisingly reasonable prices. This is the place to go for a romantic getaway or to relax and perhaps read a book in the shade under the trees in cozy chairs. We were here at the end of August and had the pool almost entirely to ourselves. This hotel is for adults; relaxed, elegant, and a hidden gem just up a hill and away from the tourist traps along the coast. If you have a car, you can reach the nearest beach in just a few minutes. I love the sea, but I found it magical to return to the hotel's peaceful and expansive grounds each evening. If you want to see famous landmarks like Galipoli, Lecce, and Monopoly, both on Italy’s most beautiful beaches and cliffs, while avoiding tourist traps, this is the destination for you. "We, a family of five, had a great stay at Masseria Stali! The rooms are clean and large. The breakfast was tasty with an added extra: you could make your own freshly squeezed orange juice. It was highly appreciated! But what we enjoyed most were the wonderful pool and the sunbeds in the shadow. We had two relaxing days there, and wished we could have stayed longer. "
