«Apart from the nice room, the relaxing private open air bath and the fabulous breakfast, it was the wonderful members of staff who made the whole experience so special that we were reluctant to leave. Dinner at Gen, especially regarding the very tasty first dishes, was quite good, too.The Oita course at the seafood restaurant, however, is apparently meant to cater to the tastes of overseas visitors; the portions are much too large to be truly enjoyable (esp. the toriten).»

«Nice clean and big room, 4 private baths, and delicious meals. You can choose your yukata so that it feels more personal. A great price for a ryokan in a secluded setting. «The stay at KAI Beppu was nothing short of amazing. It was my first time in Beppu, and staying at KAI made the experience truly memorable. The sea-view shakkei was beautiful and definitely the highlight. The room was well-sized, and the indoor onsen was a godsend.
