We were very surprised to find that our room was in the basement (this was never mentioned when we chose the room or during the confirmation of the reservation). When we walked into the room, we were hot by a STRONG musty smell! It was so strong that we drove to a convenience store to buy room freshener, just to make it tolerable. We had to reuse the spray several times during our stay, because as soon as the spray wore off, the musty smell was back with a vengeance!! During check-in, we requested extra towels and were.told they would be brought to us.the next morning. We never got the towels. Overall a very disappointing stay.

What we liked was the parking was right there you could keep an eye on your vechile,,,what we didnt like was there was snow unmoved leading to our door and some ice in the parking lot in the shaded area,,,Im sure if we made a call it would have been handled properly though,,,it is a great place to stay,,,one other thing we were looking forward to orange juice in the morning and the machine was not working,,,still very satisfied with our stay and we plan on staying again in the future

This place is a gem. Located right in the heart of town, it was easy to explore all that Berlin has to offer. Breakfast is typical continental fare, but there are so many other places to eat, that it’s not a problem if you want something else. The hot tub room is quiet, but is located down a narrow set of stairs, so if you have mobility issues, something to consider. The kitchenette area super convenient but note that like any other standard hotel room, it is not stocked with cooking items, and there is no cooktop. Overall, i would stay again in a heartbeat (and likely will!).

Beautiful room, nice breakfast, just one problem with the fire alarm going of just before midnight and continuing for 10 minutes because one room had people vaping in their room! Very inconvenient for other guests!

This used to be my "go-to" place to stay when i came to town. This time I'm really disappointed, the hotel is dated, it is no longer staffed, you must check in at a sister location down the road. I prepaid 100% months in advance. They charged me an additional $50 once I checked in for "incidentals". I used 1 bar of soap and a hand towel.... still waiting for a refund. The bed was comfy, the road noise was terrible. The fire alarm at 11:55pm was not fun, had to dit in the parking lot for 30 minutes waiting for the system to be reset. No offers of compensation or apologies.

We had to go to a different property to check in because there is no staff at this location. Older property that needs to be renovated. The room had an old smell to it. The room was at least surface clean. Breakfast was nothing more than continental. Self serve because no employees here. Someone set off the fire alarm at midnight. It seemed like it went off for 20-30 minutes-again no staff at this location. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. You get what you pay for.

Had an overall good trip. Room was nice, traffic noise was a little loud. The toilet needed to be cleaned around the base. And need some sort of air freshener. Just had a stale smell

Poor check-in process
Our reservation (confirmed through Hotels.com) wasn't on file at the front desk. As a result, my parents (whose name the reservation was in) were not allowed to check-in until the front desk could sort it out. It turned out to be a systems issue where the Hotels.com reservation wasn't appearing in Lodging's system. This created a significant inconvenience for my parents and me.

Property was able to handle our need to have room door close to our car. Check-in was easy with friendly people. The room did not smell of cleaning products (did not trigger asthma). Breakfast choices were surprisingly good including protein choices. Rooms were surprisingly well lit with a variety of bright and dim light sources. Will definitely go back.

First impression was very nice. Spacious room! The room came with a kitchenette. Absolutely no basic accommodations. No napkins, utensils, microwave accessories or kitchen sink accessories. Not even any creamer for the self serve coffee. I will not be returning.

First we had to run around to get a key to the room. We never seen any employees. Then in a note on the desk said for us to clean out our trash and dirty towels. Take them to the lodge. Not very happy. Over priced for what we got.

Enjoying Berlin and area
Hotel check in was a drive away from actual hotel. Not an issue for us but could be if on site assistance should be needed Room was rather small but clean.

This location is perfect for shopping in Berlin. The cute heart shaped jacuzzi in the room provided relaxation. Having a separate bedroom was convenient. The breakfast choices were fine, cereal, Jimmy Dean sandwiches, yogurt. The room was clean but since in basement needed Lysol to combat that musty smell. Some of the lamps were oddly connected with an extension cord. Overall good, but remember you are going down 12 steps to this king suite so pack lightly!
