Hi Lynn, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We apologize for your experience at check in and breakfast. It is standard procedure for all hotels to do a credit authorization on a card upon check in due to the fact that you booked through a third party. We need to have your financial information on file should you need to charge any incidentals. As it was only an authorization, there would not be a hard post to your account, the amount would show as pending. This amount is released as soon as you check out. In order to avoid a credit authorization at any hotel, you would need to make the reservation directly with the property. Per our contract with third party booking platforms, we are unable to provide you with a copy of your receipt. If one has not already been emailed to you, please reach out to Expedia directly in order to obtain one.The balcony lights do not shut off for security purposes. Sometimes the black out drapes tend to get tucked behind the regular drapes and the sheers, we do apologize if you missed them.I have forwarded your comments regarding the breakfast staff to our General Manager for further review.
