It’s located in a great spot on the north shore with only a short drive in either direction to some great secluded beaches, restaurants, and activities. «As others have said the building is under renovation. Our first morning there was a Friday and the crew showed up but it was raining too hard. Then the weekend so we did not have work going on while we there. We did have scaffolding in front but it didn't spoil the view or our time on the lanai. "Perfect located hotel. Two excellent restaurants in the hotel, plus more than you wish for and need of stores. Very frindly and convenient towel-service for beach life. A little confusing and irritating elevator system kept all guest waiting and waiting, and stairs is perfectly hidden 'somewhere'. Might be an issue if an emergency occurs. Other than the elevator thing, we're very satisfied. We will absolutely consider this hotel again next time we're in Honolulu."
