I'm so excited to share our home with you! Coastal Serenity is a beautiful beachfront retreat that we absolutely love, and we think you will too. It's right on the Delaware Bay in Slaughter Beach - a peaceful beach town where you can truly relax and unwind while still being close to everything you need. Designed for relaxation and comfort, this 4 bedroom, 3 bath haven offers breathtaking views, upscale amenities, and the tranquil charm of a quaint beach town with convenient access to nearby attractions.

Imagine waking up to the gentle sound of waves and stepping out onto a large deck with breathtaking views of the bay. Slaughter Beach is part of the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. There's no shortage of every kind of shore birds, eagles, heron, and deer. The beach is perfect for long walks while looking for seashells and sea glass. It's quiet and serene yet just a short drive to the areas biggest attractions of Rehoboth and Lewes. Enjoy some of the best outlet shopping, concerts, boutiques, restaurants, and golf. We are close to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, Dogfish Head Brewery, and the DE Turf Sports Complex.

Cooking is a dream in our large kitchen. It has a 9 foot island, professional grade gas range, and built in ice maker - perfect for all those cool drinks on a hot day. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your culinary adventures.
Modern comforts like high speed Wi-Fi and flat screen TV's are included whether you want to stay connected or enjoy a movie night in.
The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, with plush linens to help you get a great night's sleep. We thought of families too! There's a pack 'n play crib, child safety gate, kids' dinnerware, and a variety of family games to make everyone feel at home.

Enjoy your morning coffee or sunset cocktails on the large deck while looking out over the bay. There's a screened porch with a comfy swing, offering stunning marsh views and picture-perfect sunsets. Entertaining? You'll love our outdoor beach bar. And at night, gather around the fire pit with Adirondack chairs to gaze at the stars. We also provide plenty of extras: a grill, beach bikes, kayaks, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, and fun games like corn hole.

Slaughter Beach has tennis and pickle ball courts, a basketball court, and playground just a short bike ride down the street. There is also a boat launch to easily get out on the water.

At Coastal Serenity, every detail is crafted to make your stay unforgettable. From the professionally designed interiors to the small conveniences like provided linens, you'll feel pampered in this peaceful retreat.

Beautiful house at a beautiful location. Plenty to explore right off of the back porch. Close to additional parks and attractions. And great seafood locations. Clean with everything a family may need for a peaceful stay. We’ll be sure to visit again!

Beautiful home lovingly cared for. Very peaceful setting, comfortable beds and great atmosphere. Host very responsive and we felt so well supported in her home. Would highly recommend as a place to decompress in comfort while feeling close to the land. Refuge out in front and bay out in back.

This home was so welcoming and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a truly pleasant family vacation. There are many common areas for everyone to spread out while the open design allows for plenty of communal gatherings. An unexpected bonus was the fabulous kitchen with plenty of space for conversation and cooking. Although the weather was hot midday, the windows and air-conditioned porch allowed us to enjoy the views and beach vibe from comfort inside.When timed with the higher tide, you can enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking- with exceptional views of the shorebirds up close. Low tides provide ample nature exploration. With the marsh behind, you have lovely views of sunrise and sunset! The owners have created a most hospitable respite, with plenty of fun family activities as well as opportunities for serenity!

Coastal Serenity is a true gem. My family and I stayed here last weekend for a lacrosse tournament in the area. Everything from booking the property, to arrival, was absolutely seamless. Anne was gracious enough to recommend some things to do in the area and places to eat. Her personal touches upon arrival were a lovely surprise and was so appreciated. The house is so clean and very well outfitted. We had everything we could think of and more. It is decorated beautifully as well. The beds and other furniture were very comfortable and the linens were something you would expect to find at a 5 star hotel. I'm telling you---Anne thought of everything when curating this property! My family and I really looked forward to coming back there after the lacrosse games. The kids used the beach and the parents relaxed on the deck. It was a pleasure to get to stay at this property and we hope to book again for future lax tournaments!

"Coastal Serenity" is all-around outstanding! The house was even better than photos can show and the views over the water and marshlands were beautiful.Not only is this house gorgeous, the layout is fantastic -- everyone has a bit of privacy while still having large enough gathering spaces for meals, games, and happy hours! To top it off, this owner has literally thought of everything that you could need or want and stocked the house accordingly. We were so impressed with the quality level throughout the kitchen --- from the appliances to cookware to all other cooking tools!Communication thru the entire booking and rental process was top-notch and the owner was wonderful to accommodate our special request. We also discovered an exceptional welcome basket when we arrived which really sets everyone into vacation mode!We enjoyed using the bikes and appreciated the new beach chairs and gas grill too. We did not use the kayaks or paddle board; primarily because daytime hours were low-tide which meant the waters edge has receded several hundred yards off the regular beach. This particular stretch of beach is very tide dependent for in-water activities. Since we love to swim in the ocean and lounge on the beach, we decided to travel down to Lewes for that.There's quite a few really good restaurants in Milford as well as a grocery store, really nice movie theatre and bowling alley. Otherwise, it's a wonderfully quiet and peaceful stretch of nature.

Best Part of Trip to DE Turf!

A short drive to the DE Turf, this property was a wonderful place to enjoy our friends and families off the lacrosse fields. Well-appointed, this home had everything from kayaks to kitchen supplies, beach bikes to body wash.Ann is a very attentive property manager who made it easy to arrive, utilize, and depart from this large home with plenty of places to chill and play. The adults used the quiet sun porch, balcony, and deck to work in the mornings as the teens slept in on quiet, cool, and comfortable beds. Every night we had a lot of laughs playing games around the large table and enjoying drinks and dessert - even made s’mores at the fire pit. The bathrooms are all very nice with fluffy towels, excellent water pressure, are neat and clean. A person could create wonderful meals in the kitchen that has everything, and we did, but we also trotted over to Milford and Frederica for dinner a couple nights- easy drive with grocery and liquor stores nearby. My only regret was not staying here on other trips to Delaware! (It is a new VRBO property) It may seem more pricey than Dover or Reehoboth hotels, but we split the house among a few families and considering we ate 2 meals a day there and had all our snacks and entertainment included and had so much comfort and fun, we think it was a value! We have already recommended it to our friends for future trips.

Writer's Weekend

This property was spectacular. We each had our own space to write and relax. This was the best equipped vacation rental I've ever been in. The house was immaculate and we were sad to leave. We were busy writing and the Horseshoe crabs were spawning, otherwise we would have gone swimming or used the kayaks. I can't say enough wonderful things about this rental. Ann was an excellent and responsive host. I would definitely rent again.
