The bar and restaurant were top notch meals were first class, staff are friendly, very comfortable sitting infront of the fireplace with a beverage soaking up the character. The rooms were well appointed and the continental breakfast was a welcome addition. Would definitely stay again.»

«This was a short-notice trip to Queenstown. I arrived after the official reception closing time, the gentleman who owns the motel was still waiting for me to arrive before closing down for the night. The service and facilities were excellent. I felt welcome. There is a restaurant at the motel, I did not try it due to my schedule. The motel is located in a residential area within walking distance of Queenstown city center.»

«We stayed in the basic cabin and it was nice but I think they are overselling the luxury aspect a little especially for the price. If you are going in the colder months the source of heat is a gas fireplace which can be trickly to get the room to the right temperature. Also note there is no WIFI in the cabins, I don't think this is a bad thing as it helps connect you to nature a little more but something to keep in mind. The main hotel building has WIFI that works well if you need it.»

«We had a lovely overnight stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and homely.thee was a nice common area for relaxing and a common area kitchenette for tea, coffee and breakfast use. We stayed on a Sunday night so the hotel wasn’t open for breakfast or dinner, but that was okay for our stay. We would stay here again.»

«Good location near Cradle Mountain visitor centre. Outdated cabins which were not worth the price paid. Confusing information about drinking water safety in the cabin. One sheet said it was safe to drink but in the cabin a large sign said don’t drink the water. The staff seemed unclear about this. Luckily we had our own water. It was cold and there are heaters and a heated blanket which work well. They don’t have a decent sized pot for cooking- they were either too small or way too big.»

«Room was clean and with good heating, enough clothe hangers and shelves to put bags and things on. Kitchen was basic but not enough cutlery to share with other guests. Would be good to have hand dryer or paper towels in the toilet/bathroom. Otherwise very convenient location for entry into the Lake Pedder/Gordon area and close to Mt Field National Park.»
