Short weekend stay
We just booked the weekend for our sons baseball tournament. Our stay was great, the house had everything we needed. The property was absolutely beautiful & the kids LOVED the pond. Highly recommend.

Great getaway
My family very much enjoyed our stay at Suma Ridge. It was clean, spacious, rustic and private. We especially liked how peaceful and quiet it was, yet still close to Dothan (i.e. restaurants, mall, entertainment). We highly recommend and would definitely stay again when we’re back in the area.

Another great vacation
We absolutely LOVE this property! This is our 7th stay in 15 months and this has always been our go-to place to stay. The owners and caretaker are so easy to reach if needed. We love that the house has so many acres for our dogs to explore! We cannot recommend this place enough.

Man Cave on Orange Farm
Wood paneled, deer heads, fire pits, Grills, pond, orchards, showers but no tubs etc make this an ideal man cave lodge. Our grandson enjoyed walking the orchards with us and seeing the orange groves. Feeding fish in pond. Etc. Not too far from Dothan. How many is the red dirt which gets into white dog fur. Use hydrogen peroxide and baking soda to get some of that clay color out. Would stay there again, and really enjoyed it

Country Escape
Suma Ridge was quiet and tranquil. The accommodations were as pictured and described. Our dogs enjoyed the country setting. We will definitely book this property again when we are in the Dothan area.

Great Alabama stay
The place was great! It was just as described and even better in person. The hosts were flexible and responsive for the few questions we had. The property was beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed the ducks, fishing, and shuffleboard!! Perfect for a family stay!!

Family friendly accommodations
The house was great and just a quick drive into town- really quite close. Owner and manager were extremely nice and easy to work with. The grounds were great. Our dog was so happy there. Our sons enjoyed playing shuffle board in the den. The views of the outdoors were beautiful from the living area. Only one drawback. The upstairs jack and jill bathroom had barn doors which didn’t provide complete privacy.

Beautiful Farm Property
This is our 4th stay in less than a year. We absolutely love this property! Our dogs recognized the place as we pulled up the drive and were so excited to be back. We have been so welcomed every time we’ve been there. You are away from the hustle of town, but close enough to quickly get where you want to go.

LOVE LOVE LOVE This place! Everything was great from the location, access, host, and the amazing farm! If you need peace and quiet to unwind or a family getaway this is the place! Beautiful rolling green pasture with a pond for fishing or feeding the ducks and the grove to walk through. We will definitely be back. Thank you Dozer family for rent out this beautiful place!

Beautiful & Quiet Farm Paradise
This cozy farm house makes you feel like you are nestled in a cabin in the mountains. It is decorated beautifully and has all you need to make it your home away from home. The firepit outside was so peaceful to sit at night with a fire. Our teens loved fishing at the pond. It's conveniently located minutes down the road from town. Thank you so much!

Alabama Hideaway
Great Stay! The property was as described and most comfortable and enjoyable. The bucolic location was private and reposeful. It was proximate to every necessity, including the most important, the RTJ Highland Oaks golf course. The home was well appointed and the appliances excellent, as was the variety of cooking utensils. The fireplace was a particularly pleasant feature. Looking forward to retruning with my golfing cronies.

Winter Vacation
This was our second stay in 3 months and we were just as happy this stay as the first time. Got a huge flat tire while we were there and the caretaker went above and beyond to help us get the spare on so we could go get a new tire. We couldn’t love this place any more than we do! Family Christmas Holiday Retreat
Delightful holiday experience for our families! A spacious, comfortable living area filled with natural light and a beautiful pastoral view. The hostess made communication and checking a breeze and welcomed us to share the games, the pond, and the orchards. We were amazed at the warm and stylish holiday decor and really appreciated the effort to add that festive touch to our Christmas family get away. We all would highly recommend!

Fabulous and Cozy Farmhouse
My husband and 16 yo daughter (and our 2 toy poodles) were visiting family in Dothan which is my husband's home town. This farmhouse was PERFECT!! Besides being in a wonderful location for us from family, it was one of the coziest homes we have ever stayed in. The farmhouse was very clean, cozy, & comfortable. The home was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was even more amazing for us. When not visiting our family in town, we used the fireplace and snuggled up on the sofa and watched movies. We loved the open space of the den and kitchen with the bedrooms upstairs. The beds were comfortable as well. Even more exciting was meeting a few of the owners, Caroline, Adam, and Mrs. Dozier. They were so gracious and hospitable and showed us part of the production part of their Satsuma farm. We will definitely be back. We would love to fish in the pond next time.

Robert Trent Jones Trip
We recently stayed here for a guys golf trip at RTJ Dothan courses. This house was perfect for our group. A large outdoor covered area and grills made for a great cookout after a few rounds of golf. Overall this was perfect for what we were looking for!

Alabama Paradise
My family got together to visit because our grandma isn’t doing well and we wanted her toe see everyone before me and my husband move to Kuwait for a year with our kiddos. It was the first time me and my siblings got to be under the same roof as our parents in YEARS. (Army life) The barndominium is very spacious. I would note the room to the right as you walk up the stairs is sloping (where the queen bed is) and could be uncomfortable if someone tall (like my dad) were needing to get in and out of. We met the owner, his wife, couple of his grands, and some of the staff for the farm… everyone was kind. We enjoyed walks to the pond and the sounds of rain while we were there (very peaceful). If you are looking for a staycation or quick getaway, I do recommend this place!

Great place to stay for a golf weekend!
I brought some of my clients up to Dothan Alabama for a weekend of golf at Highland Oaks - Robert Trent Jones Trail and decided to stay at Midland City, the owners are some of the most accommodating people that you will ever have the pleasure of doing business with, the house is in a very peaceful area in the country but only 10 minutes from everything you could want in dining, shopping or whatever else you are looking to do, house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need, it is far and away the best place to stay for a weekend get away to play golf at RTJ Highland Oaks which is 3 minutes down the road from the course. Will be staying here again in the future for sure!! Caroline will take great care of you!

Excellent vacation
We had a blast at this working farm. They grow Satsumas, grapefruits, pecans, lemons and raise bees for honey. The house was simply charming. Caught a couple of fish in their pond. Fun was had by all. We will be back again.

Breath taking!!!

Hidden gem.
Homecoming week at Troy University so we booked this place to meet up with family. This was a fantastic gathering spot with plenty of room and no neighbors within sight. On the property we had access to the pond, indoor fireplace & an out door fire pit, as well as a huge porch with an overhang to sit under. Very roomy inside the house and plenty of utensils & cookware to prepare meals. The property managers are real “down home folks”, and made sure we had whatever we needed. We will definitely be looking to book this place again. Thanks again “Doc”!
