Cute Cottage close to the beach
Close to the beach, location wise - this is a gem. The property is a beach shack, perfect for people with a dog or two. The owner is lovely to deal with. The beds were too firm for us, the third bedroom is actually separate to the main house - something I had not realised. The locks on the front screen door were very hard to work, this probably needs replacing. Other than that. this is a great little place for a short stay.

Hi Jennifer We hope you enjoyed your stay. Apologies for the difficult lock on the screen door. Unfortunately, being so close to the beach exposes all locks to salt air which causes problems from time to time. We had the locksmith in to service all locks just before the Christmas rush. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Close to the surf
We have stayed at Surfer‘s Retreat many times and have always enjoyed our stay. The location is great and it is wonderful that we can bring the pooch along.

Perfect little house
We loved our stay! The house was so perfect for our family! We particularly loved the outdoor area being sheltered as it was so windy outside, but we could still eat side and be sheltered from the wind! The only we wish it had was a bath for my two year old, but the bedrooms were big and there was plenty of space to play and eat! The location was so great too!! Definitely recommend this house and would be back for sure!

Weekend away with friends
Great, cozy spot to stay for the night. Plenty of beds, with the extra bunks out back. Everything a holiday house needs including a small backyard, nice outdoor area to sit as well all round cozy feel. Really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely recommend this place to any one else looking for a place to stay without breaking the bank. Beach just down the road, lovely location, need I say more.

Very pleasant, ideal for short stays and very good location. Great beach in easy walking distance. Heating and electric blankets for chilly winter stays. Perfect for our little dogs, secure and very nice backyard. Close to Goolwa and Pt Elliot. Comfortable, basic but all we needed.

Fab beach shack
The real thing! A lovely no fuss beach shack, amazing location and totally pet friendly... has a convenient seperate enclosed lawn area for the pooch to play and another enclosed pergola space for the humans. We enjoyed our stay; cosy, comfy and relaxing. Thanks Maxine

Most horrible place I ever stayed at!
If I want to stay at a holiday home, which I need to take my bed sheets, my pillow case, my towel with me, if I don’t want wifi, and the owner expect me to take bucket and mop then I would go to this place again.

We are sorry this guest did not appreciate the option of saving a $70 cleaning fee and an extra cost for linen which most other hosts charge. We offer modest accommodation at an affordable price and give guests the option of providing their own linen and leaving the house clean and tidy .... or if they prefer, they can opt to pay the $70 cleaning fee. Sadly, this guest was obviously happy to accept the reduced rates but was obviously not prepared to accept his part of the deal. All cleaning materials are supplied and guests are given the opportunity to have linen and cleaning included at rates similar to other accommodation if they prefer. This is clearly outlined on the website as well as in the communication prior to check in. We are happy to offer a cleaning service and provide linen, but sadly somebody has to pay.

The previous traveler left the bbq dirty ( so we didn’t use it) the sink was full of dishes and the rubbish bin in the kitchen was full . We had to clean which was disappointing !

We are sorry our guests were greeted with a messy house. Unfortunately the previous guests did not honour their agreement to leave the house clean and tidy for the next guests in lieu of paying a cleaning fee. A deduction for cleaning has been made against the previous guests security bond and this will be offered in the form of a discount to Dianne for any future stay.
