«I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). »

«Hot bath tap didn't work so moved to another room. The curtains in there were so thin that the outside lights were so bright in my room and made it really hard to sleep. The whole place needs an upgrade. Beautiful building but lots of damp water leak patches in ceilings of corridors and in therestaurant.»

«The hotel is a great location, and being a former grand estate, it is a beautiful house. Arriving as we did with a infant, it became clear that we where not in the hotels "core" guest segment, and the hotel should inform potensial guests better about the fact that they do not allow children below the age of 5 in the restaurant/dining room in the evening. «What a lovely stay, absolutely loved the venue, the staff were so friendly and all so happy. All the food and drink were reasonably priced and exceptional. The room was lovely and clean with a stunning bath and hot shower. Will definitely be back.»
