Close to Hiking, Beaches, Mendocino, Fort Bragg- Pets ok with pet fee

Enjoy easy access to all Mendocino coast has to offer. This centrally located art studio was converted to a spacious retreat, and is located out of the fog and in the sun belt! Come to enjoy the area from our great location. Just minutes away from all the areas best nature hikes, biking, beaches, state forests and parks. This bright and beautiful custom home has plenty of comfortable space to make yourself at home, spread out, unwind, gather with friends and family, or have a romantic getaway.

The “dance studio” as it is known was originally just that, an expansive and beautiful studio built for dancers. It was then converted into artist studios and has since been renovated into a spacious home with high ceilings, lots of natural light, and hardwood floors throughout.

Location~
- 7 minutes to town of Mendocino and 7 minutes to Fort Bragg
- Property borders Russian Gulch state park
- 5 minutes to Caspar Beach
- 5 minutes to Jug Handle headlands and beach
-10 minutes to Big River State park, mendocino headlands, restaurants, groceries stores
-15 minutes to famous Glass Beach
- Property is located on the same road as many popular mountain bike trails a very nice waterfall hike in Russian Gulch
The Space~
-Pet friendly- please make sure they’re on the reservation when you book.
-Private area and yard. You’ll have the space to yourself.
-There is one extra large bedroom which has an extremely comfortable four post queen size bed. There is also a couch which folds into a single bed in the bedroom.
- Lots of extra blankets
- The bedroom is open to its own private sunroom/ smaller living room area. Beautiful custom made French doors that connect the bedroom and sunroom to the rest of the house.
-The sunroom area is a daybed which one can use to relax and read while basking in the natural light.
-The living room is expansive. With TV and board games
- We have provided a desk with a lamp and a few office supplies should you need a work space
- Extra comfy double size futon which converts into a bed sleeps 2
-The kitchen is stocked with water filter, cooking supplies, and coffee making supplies such as Keurig with, an espresso maker, a coffee grinder,
-1.5 bathrooms
-There is ample parking, space for RV, and turnaround space.
-There is a nice outdoor area where friends and family can gather and eat at the picnic table or play bocce ball.
~The decor gives a warm welcoming feel to the entire space, and we hope you come to stay and enjoy it!

You don't really get the converted dance studio part until you are in the space dancing in front of the fully mirrored wall :) Really cute and unique place that's nicely appointed.

Beautiful and secluded retreat

This home was wonderful and very nicely appointed. The location was perfect for those wishing to see the Mendocino and Ft. Bragg areas. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again!

Gorgeous Dance Studio

Nice Quiet Retreat

We managed to escape the heat of our hometown to the Mendocino Coast for 5 days. The weather was so nice- sunny with a cool breeze. The property is as described. It’s a spacious converted dance studio. It’s a very quiet and secluded location- about 3 miles inland from the ocean. It’s in a very wooded area. So if you are seeking a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place. Minimal kitchen space and equipment- so ok for easy, simple meals.

Great location close to activities

Converted the dance studio was a very cool and unique stay. My partner and I and our dog had a great time exploring all of the neighboring towns- everything was 6-15minutes away. It was a perfect weekend getaway. Only one watch out- if you like to sleep in pitch black just be mindful that the main bedroom only has a 3/4 high wall and there is a sunlight in the roof so it will be light in the morning. We didn’t mind, but the host did thoughtfully provide eye masks if needed.

Fantastic Place to Stay - Owner is so helpful

Lauren is a fairly new host and a fabulous one. The Dance Studio (at least it used to be) is a large accommodation with a master bedroom, large den/dining room, office space with great Internet, a fully stocked kitchen and 2 bathrooms. One with a shower and one with a toilet and sink. What a luxury! There were two of us staying for two weeks and the large space was very much appreciated. The host was not available when we arrived, but the electronic lock system worked without a hitch. The next day she stopped by and introduced us to the property. It is located in Caspar which is between Mendocino Village and Fort Bragg. The setting is private and spacious with outdoor furniture and barbecue. The indoors is thoughtfully decorated with upscale furniture and decorations. Way beyond what we have gotten used to. The host took the time to create an introduction notebook which had many recommendations that we used and were spot on. Lauren is a great communicator and was always willing to provide advice and recommendations. We loved her taste in all matters. Caspar is a small community, but an active one. Don’t miss the Good Bones restaurant, Tuesday yoga and the 4th Sunday breakfast. It was a great stay and wonderful for a longer holiday. We would definitely come back again.

Fantastic stay in the Woods

The place was great! The dance studio was spacious, lots of places to relax, and well outfitted! We enjoyed the peace, quiet, and the stars at night. Half way between mendo and fort Bragg made life easy and there are plenty of things to do! The host was awesome too!

Beautiful Space Surrounded By Trees

This home is just as it was described and we were so happy to spend time here. Since it was once a dance studio, the rooms are very spacious and filled with light. This home was immaculate, yet we felt so at home with so many comfy sofas, pillows, and blankets. There are books, games, and a large screen TV. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of room, places to relax, and tranquility. We would stay there again.
