Villa Lisa with huge Pool and Garden, Melendugno, Italy

A stunning private estate, located just 5 minutes from the Adriatic coast. This extensive villa complex can sleep up to 17 people. It is only available as a whole, for a single group, so makes a wonderful option for a relaxed holiday for extended family or friends in the gorgeous Salento countryside.

The property is made up of several separate buildings which gives guests privacy, whilst allowing them to get together in the shared areas.

In the main villa, there is a spacious, stylish living area, a separate sun-filled winter lounge, with a kitchen and 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and coffee machine.

There are four separate studio apartments. Two of these sleep two people, one sleeps 3 and one can sleep 4 people. Two of the apartments have kitchenettes for light meals. The owners have carefully created private spaces both indoor and outdoor for their guests.

The outdoor spaces for the villa have been created with as much love and attention as the interiors. There are various hidden corners in the extensive gardens for relaxing in peace or reading a book. Hammocks are hung between the many trees, including olive, citrus, figs, medlars and many more. The large swimming pool (12m x 12m) has sunloungers close by where guests can relax after a refreshing swim. The swimming pool takes on a new dimension at night when it can be lit up by stunning coloured lights.

Sleeping
In total, the property has 7 stylish bedrooms. Six rooms have double beds and the 7th room has 3 single beds. Each bedroom has a designated bathroom.

Each of the 7 bathrooms is equipped with modern fittings including a shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Note:
There is an annexe next to the main villa which is screened off and has independent access on another road. It is used by a friendly couple, but will not affect the privacy of your holiday.

Location
The villa is close to the small town of San Foca (6 minutes) which has a beautiful sandy beach, with pristine sea. Just north of San Foca is the famous beach of Mora Mora (6 minutes). The town is home to a large marina and also has some fun restaurants along the sea-front.

The peaceful town of Melendugno (10 minutes) makes a lovely day out. There are some interesting churches, as well as a 12th-century abbey, a small castle and several excellent restaurants. The weekly market (Wednesday) is a source of the best local ingredients to cook at home.

Further afield is Lecce (30 minutes), the “Florence of the South”. It is blessed with wonderful Baroque architecture as well as Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

To get into nature the WWF nature reserve of Le Cesine is just 5 minutes from the villa. Or for golfers, there are 2 golf clubs near the town of Acaya (15 minutes)

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just over an hour away by car.
