Family Weekend Snowmobile Trip
The cottage is bright, fairly clean, and the kitchen has a good amount of dishes, pots and pans. The beds are comfortable as well. It would have been nice to have a working dryer for our mitts and hats. We noticed it had been down since October. Also, an area to hang winter clothes and matts to put winter boots on. We didn't want to put our wet gear directly on the floor. Knowing we were coming and we paid a lot of money to stay plus an additional charge for our fur baby which was more than indicated in the information booklet, the roadway and driveway should have been plowed prior to our arrival so we could have accessed the property without getting stuck. You notified us the day of our arrival indicating we needed a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get into the laneway, something you should have pointed out prior to booking. We drove a large powerful truck pulling a 4 place snowmobile trailer. We got stuck and wasted over 3 hours trying to get unstuck. As the owner of an expensive rental property, you should have ensured the access road and driveway was cleared properly.

Thank you for sharing experience with your stay at our cottage. We will take very seriously your annotations and will do all necessary steps for improvements. The dryer is already second time in the repair for last couple of months. Unfortunately It malfunctioned again before your arrival and there was not enough time to repair it. Sorry for this inconvenience. We have a huge matt for shoes and a sitting bank at the main entrance and also a specious closet with a shoe rack and hangers. The roadway and driveway were cleared of snow in the morning prior to your arrival but a lot of snow came down later the day. At the cottage we normally have a lot of snow in the winter. This is why I pointed out that the access with 4 weel vehicle is easier. Sorry, I was not aware that you were coming with a huge trailer.

Bear Lake Cottage
Good overall stay. Should have been informed ahead of stay that clothes dryer didn’t work, vents in bathrooms didn’t work, and gas fireplace didn’t work. But nice stay & family really enjoyed the paddle boat & kayaks. Beautiful cottage with lots of windows. It was very spacious & comfortable. When out shopping & returning to cottage actually sighted a baby bear crossing the roaf.

Bear Lake getaway
We had two lovely weeks in this attractive cottage on Bear Lake. The grandkids fished and were delighted by the frogs, toads and hummingbirds they saw. The small beach is perfect for small children.

Just like the pictures
Cottage is beautiful. We had 5 adults and 3 children and there was lots of space. The water is sandy and shallow though much of the lake is full of water lilies so it’s not a lake for swimmers. The kayaks were put to good use. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable. Nothing worse then vacationing on uncomfortable beds. Nick was responsive and provided answers to all questions. The corner store in the nearby small town is one of the best stocked stores I’ve ever seen for a rural location. Amazing vacation!

Great family getaway!
Overall a great experience. Cottage is just as pictured, nice and bright with great amenities. Lots of space for 2 families to move around. The shallow water was amazing for the kids and having both the sandy beach and the dock was superb. The yard was nice for playing games and running around, complete with a swing set the kids loved ! While we knew we had to bring towels, once thing we didn’t think of was hand towels and tea/dish towels so don’t forget those ! Also if you’re partial to your pillow, bring it. The dryer didn’t work while we were there, which we didn’t know beforehand and the couch was quite dirty and could use a good steam cleaning.

Pleasant, well appointed cottage on a quiet lake.
We had a very nice stay for a week in June. The lake is very quiet and calm. It is also very shallow, so very suitable for young children. Cottage is clean, modern, comfortable and spacious. Corner store/gas station is a 15 minute drive away, in case you forget to pack something. Overall a very nice stay.

Family Christmas Getaway
Spectacular Christmas vacation with family. This is truly a winter wonderland. Spacious, well equipped cottage with fantastic views. Host was always available to answer any questions prior to leaving. No issues once we arrived. Equipped with a generator which we were very thankful for. Nice open concept for family interaction. Quiet and peaceful. area. Nice neighbourhood to walk around and enjoy more views. Excellent location for snow lovers. Well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Family Time
We had a wonderful time once again! Everyone enjoyed our time together! Our grandson enjoyed kayaking along with his Dad paddle boarding! Each time out they went further around the lake! Our granddaughter was quite content to collect rocks everyday! We relaxed and so enjoyed our time! It’s a beautiful peaceful place to stay with all the comforts of home! The sunsets are spectacular! Our time there flew by much too fast! Thank you once again Nick!

Great communication, great space. Lots of things to do regardless of the weather. Beautiful lake and not busy. Kids walked out to the middle of the lake! It’s very shallow… I did see a pike, but caught nothing. 45 min to timmies. Don’t rush, the windy roads hold many views and dangers. 2 moose and a deer were great to see, just not around blind bends. Overall positive experience and comfortable stay.

Bear Lake getaway
The cottage was very clean. Remote and very quiet. Closest variety store was 15 min. Drive away. This was clearly advertised in the listing as well. Everything else was a good 45 minutes away. Very nice that we were given access to the canoes, kayaks and paddle boat. Also a bonus that pets are allowed. Very hard to find cottages of that quality that allow that. All amenities were great. You do need to bring your own towels and bed linens/ sheets(thankfully we found that out the day before we left) the listing at the time advertised that all was included. All blankets and beds were very clean! Oven could use a second baking rack and the couch was rather musty smelling. The 4 of us had a wonderfully relaxing week. We would consider booking again!

Great Week Away!
My family and I had an incredible week away at Nicks cottage, the space is updated and clean and the outdoor area provides a lot of space for lawn games, bonfires, and water activities. The beach area is perfect for swimming, the water is shallow and very warm with a sandy bottom. It was also wonderful to be able to have our dog with us!

Precious Family Time
The property is beachfront on beautiful Bear Lake! The home is spacious and well maintained! Nick is quick to respond to any questions we had! Our time there together was important to all of us! Our 7 year old grandson loved the paddle boat as well as the kayaks! He made friends with 2 visiting grandchildren 2 docks away and they swam back and forth between us for hours daily! The area is quiet and the sunsets are breathtaking! We spent many happy hours playing yard games we brought, and just relaxing which is very easy to do in such a beautiful setting! My husband and son-in-law got in a round of golf at nearby Almaguin Highlands Golf & Country Club! We overwhelmingly agreed to try to work out returning once again! Thank you Nick for giving us the opportunity to be together after long separations during Covid restrictions!

Fun Finally!
Our family of 7 had a great time on Bear Lake. The cottage was clean and spacious with lots of storage. The beds were amazingly comfortable with very new looking mattresses. Our kids large and small enjoyed the use of kayaks and the canoe and pedal boat. The kitchen was well equipped and enabled some great meals including baking bread. A nice post-Covid stay.

Overall the cottage is lovely and very clean and our stay was great. The only negatives were the wifi service is not great (very spotty). Also the host advertised that the cottage had Netflix but we were unable to get onto Netflix at all due to the poor internet connection.

Great week at Bear Lake
We spent an amazing week at Nick's cottage. The cottage looks even nicer in person than it does in the pictures and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Great spaces for cooking, eating, entertaining and hanging out outside. We got great use out of the kayaks and the fire pit. Communication with Nick was seamless.

Wonderful stay!
We has a great time here, it was an awesome place to come recharge and unwind. The kids had a ton of fun with the toys and the paddle boat and canoe. The dog loved swimming too! The water was great for wading in and warm. We slept comfortably and everything was clean upon arrival. Communication with Nick was excellent, he was very helpful and responsive. Nice lake side cottage
Nice, bright and spacious cottage by a lake. Had a relaxing, quiet week there with the family, spent time kayaking, star gazing, watching beautiful sunsets and barbecuing. The wifi is very slow on weekends, but gets better during the week. Don’t forget to bring bug spray! Overall a pleasant stay.

Wonderful Property & Host
This cottage surpassed our expectations. It’s modernized with lots of amenities. The bedrooms are spacious,, the bathrooms have modern amenities and the games room is so much fun. Great Lake Views
My family and I enjoyed a week here. The lake views from the large windows are gorgeous. The space is perfect for families with lots of room on two levels, plenty of water sports to enjoy, and a games room. This was a great place to enjoy some quiet time. We really appreciated the host's quick response to our questions and would highly recommend this property. We would definitely return!

Perfect stay ! A wonderful week of vacation! Very easy communication with Nick. The cottage is exceptionally clean. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms spacious. Amazing!
We are a big group (5 adults, 5 kids, 3dogs) and this cottage was absolutely perfect! There is a great lawn and lots of room for kids the play. There is a small sandy beach that leads to shallow water and even though it was September all 5 kids ending up playing in the sand and water. It’s a very quiet area with calm water. We spent hours paddling boating and kayaking! The game room in the basement for great for cooler evenings after roasting marshmallows! We loved that there is no cable, no one was zoned out in front of tv! We had the best time! Thank you Nick for sharing this beautiful spot with us. We’re already planning our return for next year!

Great week despite the rain!
We spent a wonderful week at this property. The weather wasn’t the best for the time of year, mostly rainy, but we took full advantage of the canoe and kayaks at every opportunity. We roasted marshmallows and played soccer on the full lawn. Good hiking and running trails too.

Beautiful Waterfront Cottage with so much to do!
Beautiful waterfront property with plenty to do regardless of weather. Canoe and Kayaks were available with multiple paddles and life jackets. Easy access to the water from the dock as well as a walk in area on the shore by the dock. Basement had air hockey, pool, and foosball - which were perfect for rainy days. Overall, such a beautiful cottage and property. Nick was also always reachable and helpful with any questions. We are so glad to have picked this cottage and would definitely want to return in the future!
