The house is wonderful, and in a great location. Several great restaurants and bars are within waling distance, and the house is well maintained and in great shape.
Upon arrival, however, three of four beds were not made, towels were still in the dryer, and there were no spare sheets in the house. The manager was more than an hour and half away, and had no idea the condition of the property. The first hour of our visit was spent walking back to the house (3 times) to check on what was there, and let the manager know what was done and undone, and what was there and not.
They did give us a small credit, but it was less than the discount they offered on a future stay at one of the other properties managed by the same company (not VRBO). To have the compensation be more a reduction on what we spend on future stay as opposed to compensating us for this one seemed reflective of a distant manager unconnected to the property with no idea of its condition.
