Don’t book online! Arrived after paying online, I tried to check in. The clerk told me they do not honor online bookings. He then claimed he did not have the reservation. I waited hoping it would appear in the system. After a half hour, he claimed he still did not have the reservation, but also added that they didn’t have anymore kings available anyway. I asked, kings? He replied king rooms, and then explained that I had rented a king room and described my booking in detail. At this point I realized I wasn’t getting a room, really didn’t want one anymore, so, I lied and said, but I ordered a suite. With great confidence he told me that I ordered a king room and again rattled out details about a booking he claimed he didn’t have. I said, but you didn’t get my booking. He then realized I never told him I got a king.Then he just said, I don’t have your room. Then, he smiled a big smile since he caught me in a lie, and told me he was very sure I reserved a king room. He told me I would have to work it out with whoever I booked with online, he had no rooms. It took well over an hour on hold to get Expedia to agree to a refund. I stayed when it was Drury, and it was OK, but looked around while I waited all that time and it seemed much more unkept. Busy night, never did find a room, we had to drive back home. Ruined the weekend.
