Nice location with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Expect noice from the beach with banda music all day. Nice clean rooms, good beds, great service from the hotel staff. The restaurant staff could be asking more often if something is needed.

Todo estuvo muy bien, excepto un show de Disney que en el cual agregaron un show de payasos, que eran pésimos, se burlaban de la gente, racistas, subían a niños al escenario para humillarlos, pésimo el show de los payasos, no tenían gracia y preferían ridiculizar a su público para caer en gracia.

En general fue decepcionante el bufete de la terraza, tenía pocas opciones de comida y con falta de sabor o algo característico del lugar los mariscos, como los camarones, que llegaron a servir les faltaba sabor y no fueron limpiados, La Veranda tuvo mejor comida pero sin ser tampoco algo notable. El único lugar en que se salva por qué la comida fue buena es en Casa Roberto que tuvo buen sazón y comida rica. Las instalaciones no eran malas aunque fue molesto que albercas o zonas designadas solo para adultos tuvieran familias con niños, especialmente la alberca que tiene el swim up bar.

Personal poco amable y a veces grosero en el sports bar. Poca cordialidad en resolver, incluso con all inclusive te cobran la comida en la playa y tienes que ir por ella. Alberca sucia y siendo Invitados de una boda el personal dejo que se colaran personas al evento.

Es un hotel muy grande y muy bien mantenido, no es nuevo pero se ve moderno y amplio. Cuenta con muchas albercas y en todas ellas hay personal atendiendo. Mi único pero es que son muy estrictos con la puntualidad en las reservaciones de sus restaurantes, pero todo valió la pena.

Hotel Playa Mazatlan has its charm. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable, but the bathrooms could definitely use some updating – the tiles felt old and there was mold in the shower ceiling that had been painted over. We had a beautiful oceanfront room with a large balcony, but unfortunately there was no minibar, so we didn't use it as much as we could have. The food was good, with a wide variety for breakfast and lunch, and dinner often had an extra restaurant option. We especially enjoyed the Fiesta Mexicana dinner show that was included in our all-inclusive package. The beach was lovely and clean, with plenty of palapas for shade. However, the provided chairs were very uncomfortable. The all-inclusive drinks were a bit of a letdown. They were served in small plastic cups that gave everything a bit of an off-taste, and the beer selection was limited. Thankfully, drinks at the specialty restaurants were much better. The staff was friendly overall, though some spoke limited English. One frustrating aspect was having to pay for a day pass to use the pool area after checking out at 11 am, even though we had a few hours to wait before our airport departure. Overall, Hotel Playa Mazatlan is a good value, but just be aware of the potential drawbacks, like the outdated bathrooms and some inconveniences with the all-inclusive amenities.

En la habitación no hay cajonera, batallé un poco para que dejaran toallas completas, meseros muy atentos y amables, comida rica, instalaciones un poco antiguas. Accesos fáciles a las albercas

Men are not allowed to wear tank tops in the beachside buffet restaurant when women can wear bikinis, strapless dresses, and barely any clothes. There were more (very loud) children than adults. Finally, the food was not good. The quality relative to the price was not worth it. The hotel is outdated and the management staff is the most unaccommodating of any hotel anywhere. A Holiday Inn has better service. I highly recommend The Palms Resort as an alternative. Don’t waste your money on the All-Inclusive (unless you’re an alcoholic) package as it is not worth half the price. The bar staff was wonderful. The location is great. The food at Casa Roberto was acceptable. I will never stay here again and recommend that you do not either!

My husband and I stayed one night when we first arrived to Mazatlan, we checked out at 11. We asked if we could stay in the beach area, as our transportation to Durango was not until 3pm. Hanging out in the beach, a security guard approached us and treated us like criminals. I understand the hotel protocol is that if you check out you can no longer hang out in the premises, however the way we were treated was very degrading especially in front of other people. We had a second reservation in that same hotel on April 1-7 and I explained that to the security guard, he did not care. I was so determined to cancel that second reservation, however I would not be fully refunded so I kept it. I will never sty in that hotel nor refer anyone to stay there. I did speak with management, but nothing changed. The majority of their staff is extremely rude and have poor customer service!
