The staff is very friendly and fast to help with anything you need. The rooms are clean.the location is good for walking around to stores and restaurants. There’s a grocery store close by. I recommend getting the all inclusive if you want yo eat there and see the shows an the el cid Castillo beach side otherwise eating gets expensive.

We had a room by the entrance for the staff to bring supply's in. It was noisy with trolleys early in the am. We were locked out of our room 3 times due to problems with door mechanism. Otherwise everything else was ok with some very helpful and friendly staff.

Typical El Cid property, the people make all the difference. Water, coffee, internet in the room are all extra charges, figuring out dining and drink options takes a couple of days. But the staffs attitudes help get over it. The Granada is a nice option for a quieter stay. Thanks el patio staff and the Castillo bar servers.

I do love El Cid, I have been here more then once. Both other two times, we stayed at the Marina. The difference was noticed from service with Granada vs Marina. We got the all inclusive package, but it ended up not being fully inclusive there were things that we still needed to pay for that were not included like we had anticipated, so that was a bit frustrating and at the front desk at check in they also did not mention this to us, or try to get us a better wristband. Overall, the staff are amazing, very friendly and courteous. Always welcoming. It is nice to have access to more then one resort stuff and the selection of restaurants is great from japanese, thai, mexican, italian, steakhouse, and more. So the variety is great there. Everything is clean, Granada is the older of the El Cid resorts. But we had an amazing time and it was good. Didn't like that people went to the beach early in the morning and reserved chairs with towels and left for hours, there should be rules when it comes to reserving chairs so that there are enough for everyone to enjoy shade as well during the day. Sharing is caring! We will be back, :)

El CID Granada
The El CID Granada is conveniently located to many attractions and great restaurants. The beach is a short walk away. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The on-site spa offers many services, we had excellent massages! The hotel is showing some west and tear and is being spruced up. The pool area is lovely with lots of shade, or sun - your preference. Hotels.com indicates there is an airport shuttle which is incorrect.

The Granada is inexpensive, nice but dated. Been staying at El Cid for years. I made this reservation for a friend. El cid as a whole is nice, safe and easy to get around.

En general me gusta la propiedad y el complejo de hoteles el cid, tal como lo solicité nos proporcionaron habitaciones contiguas, lo cual fue mi conveniente para estar al pendiente de mi padre adulto mayor en silla de ruedas, el único inconveniente fue con los meseros del snack bar del hotel, a nuestra llegada alrededor de las 3 de la tarde quisimos ordenar un snack para esperar a la cena y no nos permitieron mover la mesa a la sombra, nos dijeron si quieren ordenar será en ese lugar, imaginen con temperatura superior a los 40 grados y en el sol, ¿Están locos o que? sin embargo en el bar la conchita de castilla super amables, al día siguiente tuvimos otro incidente con otro mesero del mismo snack de granada, por favor denles un curso intensivo de atención al cliente, fueron groseros. Que los meseros de castilla que son super amables les den ese curso, les urge. La cena en el patio y alcázar excelentes, muy recomendables. Mi otro comentario es que quedamos my lejos de elevador, deben considerar a las personas en sillas de ruedas y ofrecer las habitaciones más cercanas. Nos encanta Mazatlán.

Hotel viejo, personal te acosa para sacarte propina, de otra manera No Funciona NADA, El hotel no vale lo que cobra, desde que te registras comienzan los problemas por todo, desde recepción hasta los guardias y meseros, colchones duros, almohadas demasiado grandes y duras, te quieren cobrar todo, desde internet parking, y el ACOSO del personal es Increíble, parece que estás en la habana cuba. Los empleados te CAUSAN ACTOS DE MOLESTIA PARA OBLIGARTE A QUE LES DES DINERO, bebidas mal preparadas, la comida buffet SIN sabor PREOARADA CON INGREDIENTES BARATOS, y de Baja Calidad, el guardia del estacionamiento nos amenazo con “SI NO ME DAN PROPINA ALGO LE PUEDE pasar A SU AUTO, fue una experiencia HORRIBLE, JAMAS REGRESAREMOS, el Hotel el CID, es PURA FAMA Y ESTAFA y además Baños Sucios con pelos

We purchased the all-inclusive package. Some of the only dining options were in another hotel, so it was pretty far to walk for older members of the party. The pools were great, but the rooms were just okay. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were so lumpy they could have been from the Victorian era. Not much sleep. The breakfasts and sit down dinners were pretty good, but the buffets and lunches were pretty mediocre. The thermostat in the room didn't work, so the air was either on or off, with three fan settings. They also expect you make reservations for dinner a day in advance, but don't tell you that, so the first night don't expect much. Other days, you need to get up early to reserve dinner for the next day. If you don't want to reserve, a buffet is available but the quality is inconsistent, at best. There are swim up bars, but they were never opened while we were there. overall, a nice place with a few quirks and we enjoyed our stay.

We have more than 40 years having vacation at el cid, it´s a wonderful family place. This time we have a bad experience, we tryed to make a restaurant reservation 24 hours before arrive, the hotel contact us with club elite concierte, was very bad service, we didn´t want to help us, fortunately the hotel manager help us when we arrived and make us our restaurante reservation.

El Cid has four different properties in Mazatlan. Two are across the beach and have direct beach access. One is about 10 minutes away and has a different beach access. And then there is the Granada, which is what we lovingly called "the cheap seats". The nice thing is that whichever property you are at, you have access to all the others. And there is shuttle service between properties as well. After having experienced the other places, despite everyone else's pools being better and their having direct beach access, we decided we were in the best place for us. Granada was quieter than the other three, a more relaxed ambience. They seem to house visitors that are there for the season, mostly older folk like us. The pool area was pleasant and there are three restaurants immediately available within Granada's grounds. There are several others on the other properties also available to us. Downside was that virtually everything else was an added cost. Wifi, bottles of water left in the room daily, coffee left in the room daily. The water and coffee had signs that the purchases of those was for their charitable foundation, but nonetheless. Water pressure was GREAT. In fact, TOO great. Go easy on the faucets until you figure out how to control it. Toilet flush was also astronomically efficient and LOUD. Pool hours are limited, so night swims are not an option. There are tennis/pickleball courts and an exercise room, which my husband was told was an extra charge.

The staff was very friendly and did speak English for the most part. The area around the property was well taken care of and the pool area was kept clean. The plastic on the mattress was very uncomfortable and hot. At times there would be a sewer smell com from the shower. Honestly didn’t spend much time in the room other than to sleep and shower as we golfed and tours the area.

Great family vacation!!
My stay at El Cid Granada was perfect. The check in was great. I was even able to get checked in early!!. That was a plus for the whole family since we were traveling with kids. The rooms were big and spacious, very comfortable beds. The difference I noticed in this stay.... I now had to pay for parking. Not all restaurants were included in the all inclusive packages. A few years back they were. This is my fourth time I stay here. I love it so much, I keep coming back. Thank you everyone at El Cid for making my family enjoy are vacation to the best!! You were all great!!
