In the heart of the Itria Valley, within the ancient medieval kingdom of Martinese, lies the Nonna Annina estate. Following a careful and meticulous restoration, it strikes the perfect balance between modernity, comfort, and elegance, while preserving its timeless, exquisitely rural charm. Our guests are offered the opportunity to experience a culturally enriching stay, where you’ll be enchanted by the magical city hosting the Festival della Valle d’Itria. The property is laid out on a single level, featuring high star-vaulted ceilings (typical of the Martinese region) with exposed stone and exposed exterior walls, designed to create a delightful atmosphere for a completely relaxing stay with meticulous attention to detail. The color palette of the furnishings echoes the region’s traditional materials in a completely modern interpretation. The property features a spacious 20-square-meter bedroom with a characteristic wooden-plank bed, a window, a closet, and a television. The entrance area, approximately 10 square meters, features a high star-vaulted ceiling with exposed stone, a dining area, a refrigerator stocked with cold water for our guests, an electric oven, a washing machine, and an iron.

The kitchen has a 2.5 ml countertop, a double sink, a two-burner stove, and everything you need to prepare lunch or dinner, including a coffee machine stocked with coffee, herbal teas, ginseng, and barley, a milk frother for making excellent cappuccinos, and almonds and olive oil from our own farm. The bathroom is another gem of ours, built into a stone space under the stairs to make the most of the available space: it features a shower with a stone bench, a toilet, a bidet, and a sink. The following essentials are provided: a shower towel, a set of table linens, soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer. During the winter months, the property is equipped with radiators to warm our guests’ hearts. The property is secured with iron railings, a front door, and windows to ensure even greater safety for our guests. Additionally, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property.

The area is quiet, free from noise and passing traffic. It’s easy to reach by car, with parking available on-site. Nearby, you can visit Martina Franca’s iconic landmarks, including: the Church of Monte Carmelo (Church of the Carmine); the Basilica of San Martino; next to the Basilica is the new Martina Franca Museum, which houses precious artifacts from the Basilica; the Portici; the historic center with its Baroque and Rococo balconies; the Church of San Domenico (Lecce Baroque style); the Palazzo Ducale, whose rooms (open to the public) showcase a rich pictorial and cultural heritage—specifically, the Gallery Rooms, decorated in tempera in 1776 by Domenico Carella, a leading figure in Martina Franca’s 18th-century artistic scene; the Arch of Santo Stefano, featuring an inscription written by Pope John Paul II during his visit in 1989, which also served as the old entrance to the medieval kingdom of Martino.
