Home away from home
The prior reviews for this Riad were spot on. We very much appreciated the inclusive airport pick-up. The location is very convenient for the main market, Medina, sites to be visited such as the palace, dining options, an ATM that actually charged a low fee and did not run out of cash, and access to taxis. It was hard to believe after walking down some tight streets (yes, I was hit by a careless motorbike) that such a large, clean, comfortable home is hidden behind the gated door. The hosts quickly responded to all of our inquiries and immediately addressed an issue we had with the internet. So many people have said very kind words for Hafida. Again, spot on. She is friendly with a constant smile, amazing and a great cook. The air-conditioning for the upstairs worked perfectly - note, the downstairs bedroom does not have air-conditioning, but it was still not uncomfortable. Numerous places to sit and relax after a busy day(s) of walking around. An open rooftop terrace to take in the sights and sounds of the city. We stayed two (2) nights in Marrakech and then went on a tour of the Sahara. Upon returning to Marrakech we were fortunate to be able to return to Riad Dar Almoravide for another night. It truly felt like we were going back to our very comfortable home. This home, the hosts, and Hafida all deserve 10 out of 10 for their respective ratings. One (1) word of advice, be sure to use landmarks to find your way back to the Riad. It is easy to get lost in the city.

Pristine riad in great location.
The riad was in a great location, super clean, and quiet at night. The terrace was perfect for relaxing in the evenings and enjoying the cool air. Hafida was super kind and helpful. Only had a couple issues: the bedroom with two beds has an AC that doesn’t work, the confusing information in the listing regarding airport transfers (they only cover transfers from the airport), and the terrible WiFi. I work remotely and needed the WiFi so had to move to a local cafe or other location in order to work. All in all would definitely recommend.

A Wonderful Stay!
We loved staying here! The space was gorgeous with exquisite attention to detail. The neighborhood was quiet and allowed for easy exploration of the nearby areas. Rabia was very responsive to our many questions and Hafida was a pure delight to interact with while in the home. We really appreciated the transfer from the train station, the filtered water, and the various communal sitting areas. We recommend this Riad without hesitation.

Wonderful Riad
We had a great stay here in Marrakech. Right in the heart of the Medina. Hafida was an amazing host/cook/resource. Very warm, kind and helpful. The place was huge with many more rooms than we could possibly use. Rooftop view was great, looking over the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Marrakech charm
Beautiful moroccan home in the more traditional part of Medina. The place had multiple floors and beds and gives you a true Moroccan ambience. It is surrounded by plenty of shops and local Stores , restaurants . Hafida is a sweet and humble lady who frequents the property prepared daily breakfast and is very helpful for information concerning the area and helped us with scheduling taxis and bought us a few groceries . She also made a traditional meal for us called tagine which was great ! Thank you Hafida! Overall our stay was amazing . Owners communicated clearly with us from the start. Would definitely return to this vrbo upon our next trip to Morocco .

Riad in Marrakech
We completely enjoyed our stay. The location was perfectly located and our host was great with communication and accommodations. We had home cooked breakfast each morning by Hafida who was very kind, helpful and pleasant to be around. Hafida helped us in many ways which made our trip that much more enjoyable. We didn’t have to struggle with taxi service and she helped us organize our days and travel throughout Marrakech. Rabia our host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The Riad is authentic Moroccan which helped us experience the true culture. We loved the roof top where we spent many evening enjoying the outdoors. Thank you Rabia and Hafida!!! We wish you the best.

Absolument parfait
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le riad de Rabia. L'emplacement dans la magnifique kasbah de Marrakech est très bien, sûr, convivial et calme. Le riad est très beau et fonctionnel pour une famille. Et la présence discrète de Hafida est un plus indéniable pour son excellent et copieux petit-déjeuner, sa gentillesse et ses très bons conseils. Tout est fait pour que nous nous sentions comme àla maison. Je recommande vivement.

Beautiful riad
We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful riad. Hafida took great care of us; her freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious. The bedrooms are beautifully renovated and huge. We especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace. Very good communication with Rabia.

Absolutely Perfect!
We couldn't have enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house more. It feels wonderfully Moroccan, is beautifully decorated, and the craftsmanship of the home is amazing. We were very comfortable, and the owners are great communicators - helpful and responsive. Another jewel in the crown of this lovely home is Hafida, one of the kindest and loveliest people we have ever met in our travels. She takes great care of this beautiful home. She provided wonderful breakfasts, and was so helpful with information about the area, assisting us with transport, and always making sure we were comfortable. We will never forget her! Rabia, Christophe, and Hafida, thank you for making our visit so delightful!

C'est avec grand plaisir que nous avons loué une nouvelle fois, ce superbe Riad très propre, agréable et bien situé. C'est avec un énorme plaisir que nous avons retrouvé une hôte formidable Hafida. Lovely riad
Rabia’s riad is lovely. Central but quiet, and cool downstairs which was great in 45 degree heat! Halfida was really helpful and attentive when we needed anything. She provided good breakfasts. The transfers were pre-organised which was super reassuring arriving in a new city. Would stay again.

Excellent séjour
Excellent séjour dans un riad bien placé dans la médina de la kasbah. Les sites touristiques principaux sont à 15-20 min à pieds. Contact facile avec les propriétaires. Les plus sont la prise en charge taxi depuis l'aéroport et surtout les petits déjeuners d'Hafida la gouvernante exceptionnelle, toujours de bonne humeur, toujours de très bons conseils (taxis, visites, change de monnaie, restaurants et commerces) et pour qui tout problème à une solution. Un séjour de 4-5 jours inoubliable. Nous vous conseillons vraiment cette adresse.

Beautiful riad all to yourself
Beautiful and clean property that you have all to yourself - no one else except your group/family/etc. Plenty of space, could easily sleep over a dozen people. A 10-minute walk to the main square (Jemaa el-Fnaa). The housekeeper, Hafida, made us dinner one night and it was fantastic. Strongly recommended accommodations!

We loved everything about our stay here. The home is beautiful, the location ideal and Hafida is a gem. She went over and above in answering our questions, booking a hamman and helping us arrange transport to our next destination. Lovely Home in an Extraordinary City

An Oasis in the Kasbah
This residence is a unique experience - situated in the midst of the old medina, it provides a calm, peaceful and comfortable environment. But above all, the host Hafida is the ultimate gift to any traveler. Her meals and her company are as sweet and savory as you could wish for. It was the place perfect place to land.

Excellent séjour dans ce joli Riad au coeur de la Kasbah proche à pied de la place Jemaa el fna !!! Excellente et très fluide communication avec les propriétaires. Sur place, vous serez pris en charge dès la sortie de l'aéroport pour faciliter votre trajet jusqu'au Riad. Sur place, formidable accueil d'Hafida "La femme qui fait tout" autour d'un thé à la menthe. Hafida facilite votre séjour : magnifiques petits déjeuners préparés à l'heure souhaitée, repas succulents, et recommandations de très bons contacts (taxis, guides ...) Bref, vous l'aurez compris un très bon séjour dans un très joli riad !!A recommander sans aucune réserve ))

Très bon séjour
Nous avons apprécié ce riad, très bien restauré dans un vrai style marocain traditionnel. Bien situé, nous avons tout fait à pied. L'accueil d'Hafida, les petits-déjeuners sont un vrai plus. Nous avons même pu lui commander des repas le soir, délicieux. La bonne communication avec Rabia, la propriétaire est très appréciable.

Très bon séjour
Nous avons apprécié le riad qui nous plonge dans l'ambiance marocaine. Il est très bien situé à l'entrée de la kasbah à côté des principaux sites à visiter tout en étant au calme. Hafida est charmante et très serviable. Nous avons savouré ses petits déjeuners et les deux diners qu'elle nous a préparés. La communication avec Rabia est très bonne. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir si nous allons à Marrakech.

Un beau séjour
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine à Marrakesch. Le Riad est très grand, propre, bien meublé et typique du style marocain, placé au coeur de la Kasbah donc à proximité de tous commerces, restaurants, pharmacie, boulangerie, petits magasins de fruits et légumes, viande, etc...Hafida, la dame de maison, nous a concocté le soir des plats marocains délicieux ainsi qu'un petit déjeuner copieux. Elle nous a beaucoup aidés et conseillés pour toutes sortes de choses et les propriétaires étaient eux aussi très disponibles et toujours prets à aider rapidement. De Marrakesch il y a beaucoup de sorties à faire: les cascades d'Ouzoud, la ville d'Essaouira à l'Atlantique, le désert d'Agafay et les montagnes de l'Atlas et ses villages berbères. On ne s'ennuie pas! Je recommande cette location si vous souhaitez partager la culture et l'esprit marocain.

Cultural immersion in the heart of Marrakech
As a base for doing multiple side trips or to immerse yourself in Marrakech – or both -- you couldn’t choose a better whole-house vacation rental. Located in the kasbah, a quieter part of the medina, you can walk to all the old city sites: less than 10 minutes to Saadian Tombs and Badi Palace, 15 minutes to Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said, 22 minutes to Jemaa el-Fna and the souks, and a 15-minute cab ride to Jardin Majorelle. A local market is practically out the door and street food, good restaurants, cabs and carriages are nearby. The front door is nondescript and on one of the myriad small quiet side streets. The door opens almost directly into an open-to-the-sky courtyard – with a retractable roof. The kitchen, one small bedroom with full bath, a half bath, and a Moroccan-style sitting room are on this lowest floor surrounding the courtyard. Two bedrooms, both with full baths, are on the second floor (most couples will choose the more spacious one with Moroccan wooden doors facing the courtyard). On the third level is a half bath, a large sitting room with satellite TV, and access to a private deck. Up another level is the rooftop. Kids play outside the door but are quiet by 21:00 and the street is too small for traffic. Mosques are nearby so call to prayer is very noticeable, which we enjoyed. The home is clean, especially given that the roof is open to the sky in an air polluted city. Traditional wooden accents, tile, plaster work, and Moroccan furniture adorn the home. Everything is provided and functional as described, including wi-fi, heat, and air-con. And then there is Hafida. This joy of a traditional Moroccan woman is constantly smiling and freely offering information and conversation. Hafida lives nearby and checks in every morning after her kids are off to school. She cooks breakfast and will do laundry and cook extra meals for a modest cost. (Hafida’s couscous was awesome!) Please give Hafida our warmest regards when you visit: she is a gem. Rabia and Christophe checked in with us a few times before, during and after our visit. Both Hafida and Rabia were easily reached via WhatsApp. In short, this place is terrific. Take note, this home/riad is within the heart of the medina, the old walled city. If you are looking for a westernized hotel experience, choose an accommodation in the newer part of the city.
