The Space:

61 Sombrero is a single-level Marathon home at the end of a quiet residential canal, a five-minute walk from Sombrero Beach. The whole back of the house opens through sliders to a fenced yard, a heated saltwater pool, and a private dock at the seawall where manatees drift past on most mornings.



The layout puts every bedroom on the main floor and lets two couples share the place across opposite ends of the house. Two kings, a queen on the quiet side, and a daybed-and-trundle room behind the kitchen for kids on early bedtimes.

Coffee on the dock at sunrise, a lap around the canal on the inflatable SUP before breakfast, the beach in a five-minute walk, and the cruisers at the gate for the ride to Publix.



The pool sits a few steps from the sliders for the cool-off between beach trips, the propane grill anchors the seawall pad for sunset cooking, and the dock has a swim ladder and electric for trolling motors for guests who bring a boat.

The Neighborhood:

Located in Marathon’s highly desirable Sombrero Beach neighborhood, this home is just steps from one of the Keys’ best beaches—known for calm water, snorkeling, and unforgettable sunsets. Nearby attractions include fishing charters, kayaking and paddleboarding, Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters, the Dolphin Research Center, and the iconic Seven Mile Bridge.



Marathon Airport is about 15 minutes away, with Key West (~50 minutes), Key Largo (~1 hour 20 minutes), and Miami (~2 hours) all within an easy scenic drive.



Getting Around:

Sombrero Beach is an easy walk or bike ride from the home, and bikes are provided for exploring the neighborhood. Ride-share services such as Uber and taxis are available in Marathon, though most guests prefer having a car to explore the Keys. Parking for up to three vehicles is available on site.

• The heated saltwater pool is included at no extra charge. Please request heating on arrival, as warm-up takes about a day. The pool is on the smaller side, sized for cooling off rather than swimming laps.

• Wildlife sightings are part of the Florida Keys experience: manatees, fish, birds, and the occasional iguana.

• Outdoor security cameras are located outside for safety only. There are no cameras inside the home.

• Address numbering on Sombrero Beach Road can be confusing at night, so arrive in daylight if you can.

• A car is recommended for errands; Publix is two miles up the road.

• Professional cleaning between every stay, with fresh linens, beach towels, and a stocked kitchen ready on arrival.
