I really feel - this resort could be great - but it's not quote hitting the mark right now. Plus, we had a few unexpected charges, which the girls on reception weren't able to really help with - although, once did waive a fee, I think it was still charged to us.
The 'resort fee' seemed really for nothing and parking very expensive really.
Breakfast was okay, various options - but to my point above of just missing - they provided all sorts of items you needed a spoon to eat, but had no spoons.
The bar down by the water could have been lovely, but it didn't open as they had no staff.
A movie night could be even nicer there too for e.g.
On checkout they couldn't work the printer so i couldn't' see the bill - i am 100% sure I have been over charged but despite trying to contact them via expedia and directly, no -one has had the courtesy to reply.
The rooms were good size, comfortable - had fridge, coffee maker. The AC was quite noisy if you need to use that or heating.
The taco truck a couple of mins walk away was great.
It's just off the highway so easy to find and accessible for the wider keys, and at a good budget option vs other hotels.
I just felt they had some nice ideas that weren't quite followed through enough and the billing issues left a bit of a sour taste.
But, a budget option that worked for us - it's just a bit of a shame as i think it would be lovely.
