Beskyttet vik i sikte av hovedsjøen. Fantastiske solnedganger fra kaien. Lakeside Master & ett gjesterom m / skyvekontroller ut til dekk og utsikt. Stort dekk spenner over lengden på huset m / en veranda på 12x16 med utsikt mot innsjøen.

Quiet and Peaceful

We had a wonderful week of relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We were able to fish from the boat dock and go out on our boat. We walked and rode the trails that lead down to the water from the house. There were families of deer that would come out into the yard and paths which led to the water. It was a great experience! We were able to have our fur babies with us which was also a big plus. The host was very attentive and quick to respond to any need we had. It was a very enjoyable week and we appreciated the opportunity to stay in the comfort of a home.

Fun 50th

We had a great time for my 50th... location could not have been better between all of our friends' houses on the lake. We did bring our golf carts to have an easier time getting to the dock, and it was just perfect. Great dock!! Great space!! The large den and deck were perfect to hang out on as well, and the sunset was gorgeous!!

We will be back!

This house was a nice base of operations for non-campers whose extended family was camping at Kimble Point. Took us a bit less than 20 minutes to “commute” to campground for the day, and then return at night for soft, clean carpets and A/C. The TV is fine for streaming. The dock is rather far from the house, but we didn’t use it anyway. Owner is nearby and extremely nice!

Early Fall

Very peaceful, quiet location. It is a long walk to the lake, but not so far as to be a burden. There is a cart to help get your stuff to the boat dock. Shirley helped with adding a night to our stay and we had a very relaxing weekend!

Relaxing and peaceful

We rented the house to be able to go fishing in Kerr Lake, but had a hard time trying to catch any fish. The dock wasn't easy to access due to the location of it and having to walk around uneven ground to get to it. The internet was very weak and trying to make or receive calls was hit or miss. But overall, we enjoyed spending time with the family.

Great place to stay for a tournament out of nutbush creek. Close to the tournament ramp and easy access to local restaurants etc… would definitely stay here again.

Renters Beware

Although the house is in a nice location on the lake, be careful if you choose this one. The house was NOT clean. There was hair on the shower wall as soon as I walked in to inspect for any prior damages. There were cob webs everywhere and a dirty pillowcase behind a bed (found when something fell down there). There were ants in the kitchen and in the front bedroom. The air conditioning is not adequate for the house and it stopped working on day 4 was fixed on day 5 (house temp was over 85). No screens in the windows (although the owner told me there are no bugs so I could open them anyway, even though there were wasps around the house and salamanders on the deck). Kitchen was nicely stocked with cookware and utensils and dishes. The screened in porch is great if the weather is not too hot. You will walk 100 yards to the dock, part of it is through high grass and over tree roots. I think that distance could be disclosed in the description. Overall poor experience and this is our 5th rental at Lake Kerr and our 12th year visiting Lake Kerr.

Paradise

My family and I enjoyed every moment we had to spend at Shirley’s. From check in to check out all of our needs were met and exceeded. Privacy and tranquility were top of the list. The photos do not give enough credit to this slice of heaven. I could have spent the entirety of our trip standing on the deck with views down to the lake. We brought our boat and hardly used it. Fishing from the dock was non-stop action, huge catfish, white perch, bluegill. Extras we enjoyed while visiting -Buchanan’s Country Market, County Line Boat Ramp. We could not have been more delighted with our stay. We are looking forward to planning another trip to Kerr soon.

GREAT FOR A FAMILY GETAWAY!

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that it was bigger than the pictures seemed online. Everyone really enjoyed taking a walk on the trails and out to the dock. The owners were very nice and accommodating with all our questions. Overall, a great place to spend with family during our holiday vacation!

Lovely View

It was so nice to sit on the screened porch and see the lake. Quiet and peaceful. The house was comfortable, we had what we needed and the owners were very attentive. It is so difficult to find adequate pet friendly accommodations that are reasonably priced. We appreciated being able to have ours with us.

Last Vacation Before School

Excellent floor plan for our family of 5. We brought our boat and enjoyed the convenience of having it right there. If you plan to cook at the house it may help to bring a few extra items to use for cooking. All in all a great time for our family.

If you enjoy staying with flies and centipedes inside this is the place.

The lake was the best part. The last 3 nights we had a ton of little flies inside all around the kitchen. They would die over night and lay all on the counters. I would have to clean up dead bugs before cooking. When I showed them to the owner she offered no compensation for this nuisance. I had pictures of ants and bugs on the counters. She actually told me, “well the house is in the woods.” I said I would expect this in a tent camping but not a house. For that kind of rental fee I was not expecting this. I would think twice before renting this property. Also you only get one roll of paper towels one roll of toilet paper and one extra trash bag. You would think for that costly rental you could have an extra roll of toilet paper. No pot holders either

Nice, but modest, get-away

Decent place with great dock and lake access (albeit a long walk from the house). Beds are nice, but the chairs & couches are uncomfortable IMO. Also, maintenance a bit lacking with some light bulbs not working and very stiff sliding doors (apparently, they knew about that one and had a very nice repair man show up unannounced at 8am one morning!). All in all a nice experience, and we might well go back... but a bit less than I'd hoped for given the price - in a word: adequate

Cute place

We had such a great time here thanksgiving week! Very spacious, clean and lake view was amazing. The short walk to the boat dock is very enjoyable. Cell service wasn't reliable for us but there was Wifi-and unfortunately for us it was down for half of the week. No biggie but still. I would definitely recommend Shirley's place.

Fantastic stay

Beautiful setting

We enjoyed our long weekend at this home which is located close to the lake. Our favorite part was the dock and swing. Great for a lazy day. I'd recommend bringing more basic supplies such as TP, soap, shampoo, coffee filters, trashbags, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, etc. Kitchen appliances were fine. We did notice a few stains on the bedspreads. Overall, a nice place in a quiet location. Thank you!

Pleasantly Surprised

This house was perfect for us, bigger than expected. Nice layout. The walk to the dock a bit tricky, but we’ve been to Kerr Lake for years so not a big deal. Shirley was very responsive, a great host. Would have appreciated a few more kitchen items for cooking, but we managed. Had a very relaxing vacation in these trying times.

Property was nice enough, house was clean but very sparse. Lake time and porch time was the best part. Kitchen and restrooms needed some starter paper/ coffee/ soap. Bedspreads need to be cleaned of blood stains. Being a frequent business traveller those small touches make a huge difference when youve been on the road all day and dont have time to get the starter essentials. Do to their internet being out we did not have good communication with landlord. we had a bug issue that needed addressing and had to solve it ourselves. I asked for cleaning fee to be returned since we had to deep clean the room in question on our own. We will see.

Honeymoon House

We stayed at this house from 8/22-8/25 for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. Perfect house for couples/small family/group of friends. The only down side we would have to say is the walk to the dock but everyone always needs some good exercise lol. We spent all day Sunday and Monday on the lake fishing and caught a 19lb and 23lb catfish, with a few 10lbs too. Let’s just say this was by far our best fishing experience. This is a newer rental, so I recommend bringing stuff that you might not usually bring, ex: tin foil, plastic containers, salt/pepper/seasonings, dish/dishwasher soap. We will definitely be back! Thank you again Shirley for sharing your house with us.

Cute place

This house is in a nice quiet area. Good space inside and out. Kitchen is fully stocked and deck view is beautiful! The owners were super responsive and helpful! Very nice people! Unfortunately, the dock was not usable for us. Water is high right now and makes the dock inaccessible which was one of the reasons we picked the property. So while this was disappointing all other aspects were fine. Kitchen is equipped with enough to cook and eat in. Plus, it was nice because the dogs were able to come with us.

Comfy home

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfy and perfect for what we needed. Only complaint was access to the dock for boating. A lot of that was due to flooding.
