Enjoy ocean-like views and breath-taking sunsets and private beachfront property on top of a high bluff looking across Lake Michigan. The modern cabin boasts a spacious and bright sunroom with 265 ft of private beachfront, stunning views across the lake, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, an open living space, fully stocked kitchen, wine and coffee bar and a large dining table that seats 12. Outside is a patio with with big lounge furniture, grill and fire pit to enjoy lazy days looking out in the lake. Head down the private steps to the beach, to lounge, collect rocks, go for long walks on the shore and enjoy your days.

LOCATION: Located right on Lake Michigan with multiple locations for you to visit and enjoy your stay! Only 10 minutes from downtown Manistee, 6 miles from Little River Casino. Perfect location for day trips up the coast, 15 miles to Arcadia Bluffs, 50 miles to Sleeping Bear dunes and 60 miles to Traverse City.

LAYOUT: On the main floor, you'll find a master bedroom with a queen bed, and a second large bedroom twin over full bunk and a queen bed. Perfect for a family or all of the kids for sleepovers. The third queen bed is located in an attached bunkie room with a separate entrance and electric fireplace. There is a pullout full sofa in the living room for additional guests. The lower level you will find an updated second bathroom, laundry and retro mini-arcade.

Step outside onto the high bluff, overlooking the lake. This cabin boasts over 265ft. of private Lake Michigan beachfront access by private stairs. Firepit for roasting marshmallows, spacious patio with lounge seating, large picnic table, and Weber gas grill for all your entertaining needs.

The kitchen is fully stocked for everyday meal prep. Dishes, pots and pans, silverware, glass, a drip coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker, toaster, kettle, Ninja Blender, and fondue pot are all available for guest use. Additional kitchen items include dishwasher, ice maker, ovens, and stove. Also included: bed linens, bath towels, basic cleaning supplies, and soaps (not personal soaps).

AMENITIES INCLUDE:Air Conditioning, laundry, gas grill, 1 electric fireplace, 1 wood fireplace, fire pit, board games, puzzles, books, outdoor patio, shuffleboard court, coffee bar with Keurig,wine/beer fridge, WIFI and Smart HDTV, Docking stations for Nintendo switch, mini-arcade.

Location is absolutely amazing and the house is just as advertised. The views are breath taking and the house is close enough to everything without being too close. We had a lovely time and will book this again for our fishing trip on the Manistee River again next year.

Lake Michigan splendor

Fun cottage home, with a mix of old and new flare. Had everything the owners stated and a beautiful beach and sunset views! Fun arcade games indoors and lovely fire pit outdoors. Lots of games and puzzles onsite. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful family reunion. The house location was better than we could have planned - a short drive to Manistee and to a grocery store. The rental had its own beachfront. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and the kitchen was well set up. There was a great backyard outdoor area with a grill, fire pit and plenty of seating. If we have an opportunity to return to Manistee, this will be the first place we would choose to rent.

Wonderful lake house getaway

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property during this 4th of July week! Watching the sunset every night from atop the bluff was amazing. We also enjoyed strolling the beach, playing shuffleboard, playing board games, and playing arcade games in the basement! The kitchen was fully-stocked with all the gear you need to prepare meals throughout your stay. The host is very responsive and helpful, so you know he cares about you enjoying your stay! Overall, good value for our lake house getaway this year! 😎 Only two knocks on this place: queen bed in bunk room is very stiff, and cleanliness could be improved upon arrival (bathrooms and basement had cobwebs/spiders that we took care of).

Family Wedding Stay

My family stayed here on a family wedding weekend. The view of Lake Michigan was amazing, there were beds for everyone and they had a cool fire pit and shuffleboard court. An awesome family vacation spot!

Amazing view

Mittens Edge provides an amazing view of Lake Michigan! The porch is amazing for morning coffee and evening games. If you’re looking for the perfect place to relax and recharge this is the place! We will definitely be back!

Grand View from the Edge

A very good stay. A well-maintained and well-equipped home. Two small items: the bed linens were damp when we arrived. Mice were spotted the first day. We got traps and nabbed 2! The biggest missing amenity for this house is AC. Some of the nights were quite warm, even with fans. The owners were very responsive to a message we sent about a door lock not working. Perfect Week at the Lake

Beautifully decorated lake cottage! Lots of wonderful communal space both inside and out. AMAZING views that were great for the soul. Our family of 9 had a great time. We found lots of great rocks and sea glass and even some Petosky stones. Shuffleboard, corn hole, and the arcade were a big hit with the kids.

Lake Trip 2023

This beautiful property is located just above Lake Michigan on a bluff that offers the most spectacular views of the lake. The outdoor setting is amazing with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. The inside of the cottage is clean and well stocked with everything you need. Very kid friendly with lots of books and games. Also books and games for the adults as well. You can’t go wrong reserving this amazing property. Thank you Fountain Family for a great week.

Great location. Was not that clean

The house was not clean when we arrived. The bedsheets were dirty, stained and had hair on them. When we went downstairs, there was cobwebs everywhere and several spiders in the shower. Be careful when you rent here as the listing states two bathrooms, but the second one is in the basement. The basement has low ceilings and is only partially fixed up, so not the nicest to go down there in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. They’re also cobwebs in the sunroom over the table and lamp area. I contacted the owner and she initially apologized, but then said the stains on the sheets were probably just rust stains from the washer. She then sent over a cleaning crew to clean the beds and the basement. That night the cleaning crew came out to the house. They were very friendly and professional. They ended up changing and washing all the sheets and bedding for us. They also went to the store to buy bug spray and new bedspreads as the all of them in the house were dirty. They spent 3 1/2 hours cleaning and setting up the rooms for us which was very helpful. But it was after 11 o’clock at night by the time we got to bed. We trip the breaker in the basement when we ran the microwave and coffee maker at the same time so be careful. Several of the dishes and glasses we used were dirty, and had to be re-cleaned before we used them. The location was stunning and beautiful.
