Weekend at Sunset Cottage

Graduation 2023
We rented this incredible cottage with friends to celebrate our sons’ KSU graduations. This was the perfect space to entertain a group of friends for a home cooked dinner before finishing the night in Aggieville. We’ll definitely rent again. Thank you Beck and family for a wonderful offering!

Spectacular!
Pictures don't do this home justice. Sunset Cottage is better than expected... blew us away! We will never be able to stay in another short term rental without comparing it to the perfection of Sunset Cottage. It has impeccable amenities and offers the most comfortable stay. We were in town for a family wedding at Prairiewood Retreat and were able to host a brunch for 25 people at Sunset Cottage without any restrictions. Everyone was in awe of the home and remarked about how beautiful it was. The lighting, the furniture, the beautiful kitchen, the premier bedding and linens... it was perfection! Rebecca was so kind, informative and professional. I highly recommend Sunset Cottage for anyone looking for a high end stay in MHK!

The jewel of MHK
If you are looking for a great place to base a multiple household family get together with your family at KSU, this is it. Walking distance to everything and the attention to detail of the property from the owners is top shelf! Loved this house on my run route growing up and the owners have done the place justice and then some.

Cozy and comfortable cottage near KSU
We loved everything about Sunset cottage. The space worked well for entertaining and socializing. It is impeccably decorated and everything you might need is supplied and high quality: plenty of towels, kitchenware, toiletries, etc. I will definitely stay at sunset cottage again.

Perfect get away!
I have stayed here before with a girlfriend and our kids and we fell in love with the charm and coziness of the place. We brought our husbands with us this time and ditched the kids. The guys were impressed! It is exactly as described and better! We will definitely be back. The owner is easy to reach and takes pride in giving you the best experience. 5 stars easy!

Family and Football Reunion
We had a wonderful time at the Sunset Cottage. The house is beautiful, wonderful decor with a super layout. The beds were comfortable , the bathrooms were beautiful, stocked with all necessities- and the house had everything we needed. We spent the weekend with our 4 adult children, celebrating Dad’s 70th birthday by attending the K-State alumni football reunion weekend. Your home was the perfect spot for us to gather, rest and relax with cocktails by the outdoor fire pit. Thanks for sharing your beautiful getaway

Better than ever
This is a beautiful, comfortable property, that met our family's needs perfectly. We could cook, gather for games and conversation (inside or out), and spend time together. The amenities are amazing, the beds are comfortable, it feels like home. We will definitely return.

Daughter’s Wedding and Christmas in Manhattan
What a lovely property! The Sunset Cottage was the perfect place for us to accommodate our family for our daughter’s wedding and annual family Christmas (we traveled from Germany and North Carolina, and our first time to see Manhattan, KS). Our daughter’s new in-laws are Manhattan natives and most are KSU alumni. Becky was so responsive during the reservations and check in/out process. The property is chic, elegant and luxurious! The fire pit and the spacious island was used the most :) Walking distance to restaurants and local breweries. We absolutely loved the place and will certainly stay again on our next visit to Manhattan.

Perfect!
Even though this property is almost 100 years old it has the feel of a newly built home but with touches of its past. There was plenty of room for 5 of us. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean and has everything you need to be comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!
