Bermuda grass front yard leads to spectacular views of the 3rd largest reef in the world. Fish, bonefish and snorkel off the 175 yard beach. Sit in an adirondack chair reading a book-tablet or jump on a paddleboard or kayak to explore inside the reef. Free Starlink WiFi access makes it easy to work remotely as needed. Direct TV linked to house for rainy days. House caretakers are local professional fishing guides and will take care of your interests. You can hire them for boat fishing or snorkel trips. Four bicycles allow you to explore the local culture and get groceries. Airport is located 300 yards from house, so ability to land walk to house, no car needed. Large blue hole is located 200 yards from house that attracts many types of fish, dolphins, rays and barracudas. Outdoor shower for washing salt water off during the day. Cornhole and golf wedges to chip balls for entertainment. Ability to walk to grocery and liquor store, only .50 miles away in Moxey Town.

Getting to the Island from Nassau: FlamingoAir Bahamas & LeAir. Daily flights at 6:30am and 2-3pm. Sometimes you have to take a one-way flight on each airline as they co-share daily routes.

We spent the first week of the New Year on Mangrove Cay at Scott’s house and had an incredible experience. The home is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped for island living. We were two couples, and although there’s one shared bathroom, the layout allows for plenty of privacy. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking, which mattered to us since we prefer making meals at home. The AC is ice cold, the beds are comfortable, and the sunrise views from the property are stunning. The private beach access made every morning feel special.The house also comes with excellent outdoor gear — paddle boards, a two-person kayak, snorkeling equipment, games, and more — which we used daily.What truly sets this stay apart is Scott. He is the best host we’ve ever had. Before arrival, he scheduled a Zoom call to walk us through the home and the island. During our stay, he checked in regularly and responded instantly to any questions. He even arranged a surprise birthday dinner for one of our group at Swain’s Cay Resort. That level of care is rare.Scott’s property manager Randy is also fantastic — a local fishing guide who took us snorkeling and lobster spearing. He embodies the warmth of the Mangrove Cay community. This island is not touristy — it’s quiet, authentic, and off the beaten path. We saw no other tourists, only friendly locals who made us feel at home.This was a top-tier stay in our travels, and we absolutely plan to return. If you’re looking for a true, private

Incredible house On Beautiful Beach

Great kitchen, good beds. If you want to lay around in a lovely setting, catch bonefish (with guide), snorkel, spear fish (Hawaiian sling only), eat great Bahamian fish stew (Deanna’s), this is the place. Laid back wonderful community of Bahamians, this location, right on theMiddle Bught of Andros Island, is 15-20 minutes to good bone fishing. The fabulous westside of Andros is only 45 minutes away, unlike the Behring Point-Cargill Creek area, which is an hour and 45 minutes away from the west side by boat. Highly recommended.

Great stay, wonderful cottage, great host, very peaceful, locals are great.

Took the family during April break. Scott is a superstar host, excellent communication both before trip (including showing me around via Google maps, giving lots of recs, etc) and checking in during. House is in great shape, excellent location - can walk from airport, but wouldn't know you were near it once at location. Really quiet and peaceful - all you'll hear is wind, waves, and birds. Beach right there - a bit of seagrass in front but can get past easily or wander down to a more open area. On our trip, the weather didn't cooperate as quite windy, which scratched our plans for a lot of snorkling - however we got in a great morning fishing with local guides, and another afternoon paddling out to nearby island. Best part #1 is the locals - people were very friendly and kind to us, really went out of their way to help with meals, directions, etc. Best part #2 (and be aware) is that Middle Cay is NOT touristy at all - aside from people at the small fishing lodges, there were no other tourists to be seen. Dining and grocery options are limited and very small, but food is great (Shine's fresh conch salad, Deanna's Cafe). For us that was perfect. No milk to be had the entire week, so plan accordingly!

Solitude, adventure, seashells, seafood & sunrises

I only have accolades for both Scott, our host and our fishing guide / property caretaker Randy. Scott was very helpful, communicative and available for any questions and was super quick to respond! The location of his cottage is in walking distance to the airport, situated right on the water with very friendly neighbors. Always a breeze, sandy walkable beach with a double kayak stand-up paddle boards outfitted for fishing, snorkel equipment and Adirondack chairs to take in the views and beach cruiser bikes for exploring the island.He goes the extra mile by setting up a zoom call prior to arrival to map out all the island highlights including markets for basic needs, liquor stores, restaurants offering to make dinner reservations for us at Swains fishing lodge using Harry for taxi transport during our stay.Randy is not only a local expert fishing guide who knows everything about the island but is a really fun guy to spend time with! Always came with a smile a laugh and catered to our every need.By the time we left, a little over a week stay, we knew everyone on the island and they knew us. We’d just say we’re staying at Scotts and they all welcomed us. Not to be missed is Shines local hangout where you’ll find Rochelle serving up cold beers and the best conch salad. They even cooked up our lobster we caught.Randy will always put you on fish - The little island of Mangrove Cay earned its name as “the bone fishing capItal of the world” we’ll definitely be back !

Perfect!

If you are looking for an island experience devoid of commercial tourism, this is perfect. Short walk to local authentic grocery shops and restaurants. Nothing but ocean views. Breathtaking sunrises and memorable sunsets. Brisk kayak or swim to other smaller Islands. By Luck had the pleasure of getting experiencing The local Regatta. House has a wonderfully open floor plan that provides a relaxing vacation. Gazing at the ocean while making dinner is hard to beat!

Special place Special people

Most relaxing vacation of my life. Owner provides a concierge level of service making you feel like you live there. There is an amenity in and around the house and property for all of your needs. Things I appreciated: comfortable king size, strong water pressure and excellent temperature in shower, fresh linens, many towels, big roomy bathroom, comfortable open concept family room to relax, literally just feet from beach, kayaks, paddle boards, bicycles, concierge service by house care taker, Keurig, air fryer, microwave, small perfect size stove oven. Outstanding air conditioning in family room and bedroom, spacious loft, robes waiting for you in bathroom, starlink for tech coonections. The town is LOVELY with the sweetest warmest people. Car rental easy, very affordable with easy drop off at airport directly across from owner’s house. Awesome local eateries. Bonefish capital of the World! I will be back before the end of the year and I will only stay at tranquility blue if available.
