Escape to this serene lakefront, Cozy Nolin Cabin, nestled on over 14 private acres in beautiful Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. Perfect for families or groups, this spacious retreat combines rustic charm with modern comfort and endless opportunities for relaxation and adventure.

Spend your days exploring the property’s wooded trails, fishing from the private dock, boating or kayaking on Lake Nolin, or discovering nearby Mammoth Cave National Park. Evenings are made for grilling on the expansive deck, gathering around the campfire, relaxing on the screened wraparound porch, playing a game of pool or darts, or curling up by one of the two cozy indoor fireplaces.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests in beds, with additional couch sleeping for up to 15. The main floor features two private bedrooms, each with a full bed, sharing a full bathroom. The second-floor loft offers an Amish-made twin-over-full bunk bed, a private ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower, and a convenient workspace. The walk-out basement includes a second living area and game room, along with two bunk sets, one twin-over-full and one twin-over-twin, and also offer a third full bathroom.

Step outside to enjoy direct lake access down a natural path, or take in the peaceful views from the upper and lower decks/patios. The outdoor spaces are fully equipped for lakeside living, featuring a fire pit, grill, outdoor dining areas, kayaks, fishing poles, and a screened in sleeping porch.

With its open-concept living area, well-appointed kitchen, and all the comforts of home, this cabin offers privacy, beauty, and everything you need for the perfect getaway. Dog Creek boat ramp is just around the corner for easy lake access.

The house is great--clean, lots of space and lots of natural light, well-equipped kitchen, opportunities for indoor recreation (ping pong, darts, board games) and outdoor recreation (hiking trails, large porch, campfire area), beautiful surroundings. The host was very responsive to questions before and during our stay.

The cabin was immaculate. There were many activities both inside and out for children. Multiple sleeping arrangements to choose from. Two fireplaces that were cozy at night. A full kitchen that allowed for full meals. We were unable to have a guided tour at Mammoth Cave due to the government shutdown, but visited other locations. The cabin is very secluded, with winding roads with 30 minute drive to anywhere. The drive to the cabin was washed out on the sides and some in the center so definitely do not want to drive a low profile vehicle down. The tv’s were hard to use, as there were multiple remotes causing confusion. For the main floor tv, we had to use the Roku app on our phones to control the tv. There were missing batteries in the upstairs remote.Several board games, puzzles, and cards were provided which was very appreciated! The host was prompt and informative!

Tim and Amanda's lovely lake house was the perfect place for an extended weekend stay with friends. Tons of space, games, entertainment options, helpful amenities and - of course - the lake, only a short walk down from the huge wraparound porch. Our expectations were not only met but exceeded; I would highly recommend staying at this charming home for your next lake trip!

Secluded getaway

This amazing cabin was clean and huge! On a lake with walking trails and close to Mammoth Cave National Park. Massive deck overlooking the lake and a separate screened porch to listen to the rain on a tin roof. The hosts were very responsive and made great recommendations for places to eat. We loved it!

Great experience

Spent a few days of fall break at this cabin with the family and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The property is situated in a very quite and serene area to where all you can really hear are the sounds of nature. We really enjoyed the access to a private dock on the lake for both fishing and kayaking. We also took the opportunity to use the fire pit every night. There were five of us and we really appreciated the fact that there was ample seating available on all the decks and around the firepit without us ever having to move chairs from one area to the other. The cabin itself is very spacious and well kept. The downstairs pool table/ping pong table, darts and separate tv view area kept the kids entertained when we were not outside enjoying nature. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

I loved staying at this place! It was the perfect amount of space for 9 people (4 adults / 5 kids) and we had a great day hanging out by / in the lake. One note is that it is pretty remote, so don't expected a place right off the interstate. We loved the place and plan on going back.

Great fun stay!

We had a fantastic time during our stay! This house was perfect to enjoy the lake and Mammoth Cave. We went hiking and did cave tours at Mammoth National Park. Reserve your cave tour ahead of time (online) to ensure you get a spot! They will be sold out if you buy the day you go. We did the Violet City Lantern Cave tour and it was great! The lake and dock area was amazing. We felt we had the lake to ourselves, it was so quiet. We swam in the lake almost everyday. Kids loved it! We fished, as well. The house was so clean and well stocked with games! More games available than is listed. Our teens and younger kids all loved them. We made a fire in the fire pit and had s’mores! When we had a small issue with a toilet, messaged the owner, and it was fixed within an hour. So happy and pleased with our stay!

Friend Reunion

This property is amazing. We had our inaugural friendship reunion here, 3 families with children ranging from 4 - 7. Its an easy drive to Mammoth Cave and Lake Nolin. The property itself was perfect it had everything we needed. We all loved jumping from the dock and swimming, as well as some good fishing! We have already planned to come back to this property in the future!!!

Relax with Family

The house is private but you can see rooftops through the trees. The lake is close and there is a down ward hill to get to the water, not too steep and doable with bad knees. One really cool part of the house is there are multiple places you can escape to for alone time or having a listen to the sounds of nature on the patio, etc. the kitchen had an impressive selection of cookware and dishes. The bed were comfortable. The air conditioning was great and the gas fireplaces were cozy. We enjoyed the lake so much! The outdoor fire pit was a good time also! What a great spot! Thank you so much!

Nice outdoor vacation

My family had a great time at this property. Unfortunately we weren’t able to kayak since the army dams the lake in the winter. While this was unexpected, we made the most of it and walked the dry lake bed quite far and my family was able to find some fishing spots. The cabin was clean and had what we needed. The back deck was a great place to read my book and kids liked the bonfire in the evening. We would stay here again but make sure the lake is there!

The entire process from beginning to end was great. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great and it was pretty simple to get to everything we wanted to. Thanks for the great weekend and we hope to stay again!
