The 3rd bedroom is in the detached Casita with a private main floor king suite with ocean view patio and seating area, ensuite bath with double vanity and large walk-in shower, gel memory foam topper, 650 thread count linens, down pillows and comforter, sleeps 2. Enjoy outdoor dining on the expansive oceanfront terrace with handcrafted wood dining table and chairs to seat 8 plus wood loungers. Beachfront grill and outdoor shower with 4 barstools for lounging while you grill - caretaker will light the grill at your request and can help source fresh fish and lobster in season. Shaded king beach bed, perfect for ultimate relaxation plus hammocks and loungers for beach lounging. Activities include beach volleyball - set up on request, 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards for exploring the calms waters, swim spots and snorkeling just steps away (walk north to find deep sandy bottomed swimming spots) plus fishing and snorkeling at the reef which is approximately 500 yards off our beach. Don’t miss the amazing stargazing at night and breathtaking sunrises. Our villa is seamless off-grid living and is designed to operate sustainably without sacrificing comfort. The villa has a solar powered energy system with backup generator, filtered rainwater system with 10,000 gallon cistern (plus bottled drinking water provided), Wi-Fi via Starlink for reliable internet and Wi-Fi calling. Please note there is no A/C as the home was custom built for natural ventilation, with breezy crosswinds and fans in every room. Your stay is supported by our discreet, full time caretaker, who lives on-site in a private residence with his wife. He provides daily beach raking and clean-up (note that during sargassum season, it can be difficult to clear the beach completely depending on currents and wind), daily trash removal, fresh towel/linen service upon request and grill prep and sourcing local seafood (charcoal briquettes provided). Optional laundry service is available on Saturday and must be arranged with caretaker for an extra fee. Optional meal services available for evening dinners and on weekends for an extra fee. Explore the nearby activities in Mahahual which is just 35 minutes away. The vibrant beach town of Mahahual offers a mix of local charm and tourist amenities. Walk the Malecon, a beachfront promenade with casual restaurants, beach bars and markets. Take a dive or snorkeling trip to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest reef in the world. Book a fishing charter or paddle board lesson. Massages are available on the beach daily at many locations on the Malecon. Visit nearby Bacalar to see Laguna Bacalar, the lagoon of seven colors (saltwater lake ranging in color from light turquoise to the deepest blue). Spend a day exploring the nearby Mayan ruins.
