Nyt den friske fjellluften på 4300 fot!

The Hideaway har to soverom, ett bad, en komplett kjøkken og stue. Nyt de kule sommerbrisen på det nye dekk. Det er vanskelig å få mye nærmere Blue Ridge Parkway enn halv kilometer kjøretur fra The Hideaway. Harrahs Casino ligger tolv miles unna.

Hvert soverom har sin egen TV med oppvasknettverk, takvifte, klimaanlegg og klokke med USB-lading. En stereo i hovedoppholdet gir CD-avspilling og Bluetooth-tilkobling for musikklytting fra telefonen eller musikkspilleren (tilkobling via hodetelefonkontakt leveres også). Stuen gir også en TV med oppvasknettverk og DVD-spiller. Skyvedører i glass åpner til dekk. En kullgrill er tilgjengelig for gode familie måltider eller bruke hele kjøkkenet. Daglig moro kan gå om natten rundt utendørs firepit.

Beleilig plassert i vakre Maggie Valley, Lake Junaluska, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Harrahs Cherokee Casino Resort og Cherokee Indian Reservation.

Personer med tilhengere bør kontakte oss før du reserverer. Under store helligdager som 4. juli, kan Thanksgiving, jul og nyttår dette hjemmet kreve et minimum på 5 netter med mindre eieren godtar mindre dager. The size of the house was no issue. The house keeping was not that great. There was dog hair all of the floor. Spider webs in the corners of the rooms even on the pillows. Running the space heaters through a breaker, maintenance directed me how to fix the breaker box over the phone. Which I didn’t mind at all! There was not a dish washer in the house. The neighbors dogs barked the entire time we stayed. It didn’t matter if the light flipped on inside. I called before closing on Friday before the office closed reporting a problem. No returned call. There were no trash bags to replace in the house as well. My family and I had no expectations to be exceeded on this stay but the condition of the house and experience of staying was disappointing. I looked through the guest book only one other family stayed there the week before us in over a year. The location is great but the house needs a little TLC and upgrades.

Quiet getaway

Loved the property accommodated the four of us very comfortably with a beautiful view from the dining room table. Everything was provided and nice and clean I will definitely be staying again in the future

The Good and Bad

This place has a lot of potential, considering it is located close enough to the major attractions in the area. The Good: Location Affordable Secluded but close The Bad: Not clean with pet hair all over the floor and dander that will make you stuffy your entire stay. And I don’t have allergies. Yard full of dog feces Old decor Comforters that you can tell have not been washed in ages. No soap but they expect you to clean dishes, so you know the dishes are not properly cleaned. With a few upgrades and someone who cared about this place, you could have a great rental. Being a host myself for many years, this place is a Diamond in the rough if someone cared enough about it.

Good Location But Probably Best Left To Pet Owners

There is no dishwasher or ice maker, the listings should be corrected on these details. Guests are expected to clean the kitchen themselves which means your experience there will depend upon the prior guests abilities and willingness to clean dishes, etc. without a dishwasher and with very low water pressure in the sink. We routinely used the coffee maker to make a pot of hot water to aid in dish washing. There is no apparent attempt by cleaning staff to vacuum at all, ever, and pet hair is thick throughout the house. There is no vacuum or even a dustpan available for self cleaning so you are reduced to opening the sliding glass door and trying to sweep mounds of pet hair out of it to reduce the filth a notch. Beds and all linens are of low quality and heavily used but were at least cleaned and prepared to a minimal standard. Street light beams into bedroom windows at night and there are no curtains to block it. All of this is rather unfortunate because the location is great for quiet nights and access to the BRP while being close enough to town for easy access. This place could be so much nicer with just a minimal bit of extra care and effort. I think it will appeal to pet owners though be assured that the fee you pay for your pet is not used to provide any significant extra cleaning. WiFi went out here and there but phones were able to get 4G, I think this is generally an issue throughout much of Smoky Falls so maybe there is no good remedy available. You have to drive to the other end of Maggie Valley to obtain and drop off keys. Messages to host during stay went unanswered. I just can't help but feel that the management company is squeezing every penny out of this property with the absolute minimal expense they can put into it without much regard for anything else. We felt rather commoditized.

Maggie valley

Nice cozy place. But the entire house was covered in dog hair. On the sofas, all over the floor. There was not a dustpan in the home or a vacuum just a broom. And my 6 year old has allergies to pet dander. The property management company was friendly. But the cleaning company not so great, they did not attempt to clean up the dog hair at all.

Excellent cabin in the woods

The family had a lot of fun in this cabin in the deep woods. Less than 30 minutes drive from Cherokee, where we got our food and supplies. Easy access to tubing, rafting and kayaking.

Quaint getaway...

Perfect small place in an out of the way area. My daughter and I enjoyed the location and took my dog on several walks up and down the drive area. It was quiet at night and we rarely saw anyone around. The scenery was beautiful and I made it a pojnt to sit out on the back porch area to have my morning coffee. The location was centrally located to all the different directions we planned to go. We will go back there again.

Weekend away

Great location off the beaten path but close to town. Liked the wooded area but needed some upkeep with weeds and overgrowth of ground cover. We had our dogs with us and were a bit worried about ticks. Some extra bed pillows would be nice too!!

Perfect for the weekend getaway

We were very happy with our stay. We booked this last minute and did not have a lot of choices so we were unsure what to expect. The location was great, pet friendly, and peaceful. The cottage was clean and basic. Check-in was easy and the road to the cottage was manageable. It is steep and narrow mut 4 wheel drive is not needed. Bedding is very basic so you may want to bring some extra pillows and a blanket but there are extra afghans and throws on property.

Perfect getaway in the Mountains

Everything was very nice. Great that it’s a pet friendly cabin. We had a great time and enjoyed the mountain retreat. Cooked out on our Weber grill every night and had a bonfire. Saw a family of Elks just a few feet from the lot. Will definitely return.

First vacation in Maggie Valley

So glad to find a pet friendly listing.. The owners provided a very comfortable place to stay. Kitchen had everything. The deck was a great morning & evening relaxing place. We found a couple of great restaurants. We enjoyed being close to waterfalls & accessible to other places of interest.

The hideaway was a very cozy stay for us. The good: Kitchen well stocked with utensils and pans for 2. Bed slept well. Deck and all outside was wonderful. Ended up with snow and didnt leave. Views were great.. and walked up and down the drive and road provided great scenery. The bad: The heater for this unit was woefully undersized. I advise bringing your on heaters if you want to get warm. It can maintain a temperature of around 62-64 if you get it there.(daytime high was 30-35). The bed linens did cause some alergy issues... But.. washer and dryer worked great to solve that on our first night. Furniture shown in pics for living room are not what you get. Couches are not the most comfortable. All in all.. would recommend for a laid back quiet vacation away

Cozy mountain cottage getaway

Good. Beds in 2nd bedroom needed to fit 2 adults either 2 twin or double. Trundle beds only fair. Everything else great. Well supplied and great location. Beautiful views.

Will not go back to the hideway.

During covid time decided to check sheets and bed. Sheets looked clean, removed and mattress cover on topper was circled Yellow with urine stain. Had to was all her cover. Turned on heat and heated all night. Finally got to 72 at 7 that morning. Mattress topper was like a sponge. Will down in it and could not turn in bed easily, plus it had to be covered in urine. We slept setting up in living room covered in bedspread to stay warm. Closed all be from doors to get room warm. Do have called maintenance, but would they come on at 11 or after at night. Heat should have been on when we arrived as it was 24 degrees the morning before. Not expecting any fancy, just CLEAN especially now!!!!!!

Nice little house close to Blue Ridge Parkway

Check in with Carolina Vacations was great, keys available after office hours as well. Nice size of the house for two. Just around the corner of Blue Ridge Parkway and 30 minutes to the entrance of the great Smokey Mountains national park. The house is located a little bit up the mountains on an unpaved road, but even with our sports convertible it was no problem at all. Winter might be a different story. Think about some of your kitchen items you don’t want to miss (we are not used to Keurig cups) and bring them along. At the beginning the house was pretty cold and we were skeptical if it wound warm up, but the heater did a great job and we were always cozy.
