Beary Round Retreat - Views, 3 Master Suites, Minutes to Downtown, Large Deck!

Imagine spending your mountain vacation in a unique round cabin nestled amongst the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina. With a large, expansive deck, surrounding mountain views, sounds of a rushing creek, and perched above the Maggie Valley Country Club, your mountain vacation will be an experience to remember.

The cabin is complimented by 3 master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms each with a unique view, a large recreation room, 2 fireplaces, and plenty of space for the whole family.

While at Beary Round Retreat you will enjoy some of our favorite amenities including a 30in Blackstone griddle for all of your outdoor cooking desires, with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating for dining and lounging. Downstairs in the rec room you will find an abundance of space for relaxing and family fun. Take a turn on our Marvel vs. Capcom arcade that houses 5 games, watch a movie on our 80in smart tv equipped with Polk sound bar, challenge a friend or family to a board game, or grab a drink from the bar area all while cozied up on the couch surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that highlight the breathtaking mountain views and overlook the Maggie Valley golf course.

We are certain you will find comfort at our cabin with easy, year-round accessibility and plenty of accommodations for all. You will arrive to paved streets and driveway with plenty of parking on site. With just one step up to the front door and one small step into the living area, you will enter with ease. There are 2 bedrooms located upstairs and 1 bedroom downstairs all featuring ensuite bathrooms and stunning mountain views. On the main level of the home, you will find bedroom 1 with a King size bed, shower/bathtub combo, and single sink vanity with plenty of counter space. Bedroom 2 is located right next door with a queen size bed, walk in shower, and double vanity. The 3rd bedroom is located downstairs and has a king size bed and a set of full over full bunkbeds. The bathroom provides a jetted tub/shower, a double vanity, and conveniently adjoins with the rec room to meet all of your needs.

The cabin is conveniently located just minutes to Soco Road and Downtown Maggie Valley where you will find many shopping and dining options, and family fun such as miniature golf and Tube World! It sits just 10 miles to Waynesville, and 35 miles to Asheville where you can visit the Biltmore Estate. Take a short 10 minute commute up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for a scenic drive, go up the mountain about 20 minutes to Cataloochee for skiing, snowboarding and horseback riding. Drop a line in Jonathan's Creek just 5 minutes from the cabin to catch some trout, or visit the Oconaluftee River in Cherokee where you can also take your chances at the Harrah's Casino. Travel 35 minutes to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for an unforgettable day of hiking and exploring. Bryson City is just about an hour away. There you can catch a steam train for a ride that won't disappoint, enjoy a white-water rafting adventure at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, or go tubing in Deep Creek nearby. Pass thru Cataloochee Valley where you might experience seeing our beautiful elk roaming in their natural habitat or take a day trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge... roughly an hour away. With all this and more at your fingertips you are guaranteed to have an amazing trip!

  • An incredible motorcycle museum! I found out about the place after seeing it on various tv shows, American Pickers, Chasing Classic Cars, and Jay Leno's Garage, included. Once you get inside, you really don't know how you are going to take it all in. It is huge! All of the motorcycles run and during our visit, the curator was starting and taking random bikes out for a spin. A must see!

The cabin is really pretty, roomy, &very clean. Each room was lovely, the 2 upstairs were nice, the only problem we had was the room with king bed was not comfortable at all, I actually slept on the couch the first night, yes there were extra beds downstairs but I hated intruding on my sister & hubby. My husband slept in the middle of the king and did ok. But we made better sleep arrangements the next evening. But the rooms were very clean, as was the windows on all levels of this large home no fingerprints, hand or palm prints.The wash room was clean as well. My sister said they really enjoyed the furniture on the lower level it was a bit more comfortable than the furniture upstairs, Although it needs a good card table downstairs it is a very pretty area to just sit & chat,& view wildlife. The kitchen was very nice, nice appliances, I loved the large table in the dining area very roomy & the Blackstone my husband loved was a great feature too! We cooked in a few mornings and evenings.Oh, the fireplaces once we got them going were very nice that is all my mom cared about that she had a fireplace! We enjoyed playing games, but upstairs because there were no tables downstairs to play games especially Farkle on.We were not too far from shopping & eating, the views while riding to town were colorful. The balcony had a few scenic areas, but it rained almost the whole time we stayed except the day we were leaving to head home. Ty Cheri

Very unique, clean, and comfy home

Thoroughly enjoyed the house and area. Plenty of room, well equipped, and comfortable. Nice Black Stone propane grill was perfect for burgers, steaks, and French toast. Enjoyed the back deck. Plenty of big TV’S where we drank and watched the Open golf tournament. Good cookware and dinnerware. Played golf at nearby golf course and went to the Cherokee Indian reservation just down the road. Had everything we needed. Contact point (Cheri) was very responsive.

Fantastic Stay! Would absolutely stay again!

My family of 8 loved our stay at the Berry Round Retreat for a few days as we explored Maggie Valley and the Smokey Mountains! The cabin is beautifully appointed, had enough space for us to spread out, and enough beds for the whole crew. The beds were comfy (no one complained), the couple of bathrooms helped at shower times, and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals.The kids loved the round cabin - definitely a novelty! They also enjoyed the big rec room downstairs (its huge!) We also enjoyed a fire one evening at the fire pit, with plenty of seats for our whole group. The older kids and adults enjoyed the big, wrap-around balcony out back with multiple Adirondack chairs and a picnic table, perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning or some reading. Cheri was fantastic to work with - very communicative and responsive, which we really appreciated One thing we wish the cabin had is mountain vistas from the deck. As it is, you feel like you are in a treehouse with the forested back, but there are almost no mountain views. We knew this when we rented, but just noting for others.As a note, the driveway is steep. We drive a 15-pax van, and it was a bit challenging - to get out, you really had to gain some momentum to get up the last bit. We also had to do a three point turn at the 'bend' in the driveway to get out. We definitely would not have made it with any snow or ice. Even as is, my wife asked me to pull in/out every time.

Great Time!

We really enjoyed our stay! The property had everything we needed to enjoy a three-generation getaway. Each family had their own space and there was ample common space for us to enjoy spending time together. The owner was easy to contact and super helpful. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and a great landing space after our excursions into the National Park and surrounding areas.

Dirty house, misleading pictures AVOID!!

I understand that these mountain houses are typically busy in fall and winter but it’s clear no one had cleaned this house in months. It was incredibly dusty, hot water didn’t work, downstairs tub/shower didn’t work, and the host didn’t send anyone to fix despite promises and several requests. All three of us had to stay downstairs with our air purifier as my girls were getting sick in upstairs bedrooms. was able yo source a humidifier

Beary Round Retreat

This was our first time using VRBO and we were so happy we chose the Beary Round Retreat! Dealing with Cheri was super easy and she was quick to respond. She was up front and very informative so I was prepared and there were no surprises. My family was very happy with the accommodations and my grandkids are still talking about it. I can’t say enough about Cheri and will definitely stay at the Beary Round Retreat again!! Thanks Cheri!

Great Family Vacation

Everything We Wanted

The cabin was perfect. Very clean. The master bed downstairs had a very comfortable bed. The decor was pretty and we enjoyed the fireplaces. There were ample pots and pans for cooking and the location was perfect. We were worried about being able to get to the cabin without 4wd but the road was easy to navigate even in the cold weather. Cheri was great and responded to our messages quickly. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back next time we plan a trip in the area.

So cozy!

This property was spacious and welcoming! We booked this cabin for a little family getaway and to ride the Polar Express and we were very pleased with our stay. It was a cold weekend but with two fireplaces and space heaters we were very cozy. We loved that the house was decorated for the Christmas season as well. The driveway was tricky but manageable. Overall, we would recommend the property and book again for future visits to the area.

Thanksgiving getaway

We have stayed here for the past two years and already booked for next year the week of thanksgiving, we love it. Close to everything but still private and the home is beautiful. Owners are great. Feels like home away from home. Of course the kids wished it had more electronic games and hot tub.

We had a wonderful stay at Beary Round house.

We were very comfortable in the house. We loved having a house with 3 master bedrooms. The kitchen had all the necessities and the house was furnished beautifully. As we sat on the porch we were surrounded by mountains and trees. We had family over for dinner a few nights there was plenty of room for all of us. All in all it was a wonderful vacation.

Very nice and comfortable

We had an awesome time and the host and property manager were super nice. The power went out the first night we were there for about 8 hours due to a power outage, but they were quick to respond and checked on us the next day. It was cooler that day so it was not bad and they had lanterns and Uno cards. We had some good family time sitting at the table playing cards. The cabin was clean and everyone enjoyed it. We hope to stay again next year for the same trip. We had an awesome time.

Love Beary Round

we had a wonderful stay. There is no air in the main part of the house, so my daughter was hot when we were cooking, especially when the oven was on. We had the fans going and all the windows open. This was our second stay here and our teenagers loved it. It is close to everything they wanted to do. I had forgotten that we had to go out and get cooking utensils last year, and we did the same. There is a Dollar General close by, so we got big cooking spoons and a spatula there. No big bowls for salad. Lots of pots and skillets though. I will bring more of this type of things next year. There is a whole little closet with a Keurig and my husband love that. Loved the big porch! Can't wait to stay there again.

Spring Break Get Away

The house is perfect and well equipped for a family. The split level plan is great for families to have their own personal space. The only thing to consider is the drive way is steep may be difficult to enter and or exit the first few times. We went in spring but it may be more challenging in winter months. But don’t let that deter you the property is beautiful and close to activities.
