This listing is for the downstairs level, designed with accessibility in mind. Guests with disabilities can park and enter directly without any stairs. The space includes:

A spacious L-shaped dining/living/play area

An open kitchen

A King Size Bedroom with a king bed and queen sofa bed

A Full Bath

A Laundry Room

Main Floor Bedroom: The main floor bedroom off the living area includes a king-size bed, sofa bed, large screen TV, DVD player, and seating area. To make your stay more comfortable, both the king bed and the sofa bed feature 3-inch hypoallergenic feather pillow toppers and plenty of pillows.

Family-Size Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen features double ovens, an oversized induction cooktop, and everything you need to prepare your favorite meals. Outside, there’s a gas grill on the large patio, and the pavilion has picnic tables and a large outdoor charcoal grill.

Laundry Facilities: A large front-load washer and dryer are available on the main floor.

Internet and Indoor Entertainment: Enjoy high-speed internet throughout the house, perfect for streaming, working online, and indoor activities. The oversized family room includes a pool table, bumper pool, game/puzzle table, soft tip darts, a variety of games, puzzles, and books, and a 58-inch TV with surround sound and DVD player.

Mobility-Friendly: The entire downstairs is on ground level with no steps, making it ideal for guests with mobility issues. The main floor bedroom is spacious and includes a king bed and a large bathroom.

Outdoor Activities: Enjoy the best water skiing in the area, relax and fish off the big floating dock, or read one of the many books on our shelves. Let the children play on the jungle gym while you sit around the riverfront fire pit. Take in the breathtaking views from the large outdoor six-person hot tub on the deck. Challenge each other to corn hole, darts, or volleyball. Drive your golf balls through the trestle to the tee from three different tee boxes, put them on the pavilion putting stage, or bring expendable golf balls to drive across the river off the patio at the house. Relax on the swing at the meditation rocks looking at the infinity view under the trestle. Shoot skeet over the river or improve your shooting skills on the range. The riverfront area, boat ramp, dock, and picnic area can be shared spaces with the owners. Please note that additional visitors are not allowed without prior agreement. Your home away from home is on an exclusive 9-acre estate along the James River. If you don’t have your watercraft, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and more are available for rent from Treasure Island Outfitters, LLC.

Equipment Rentals: If you don’t have your water toys, canoes, kayaks, fishing boat with motor, stand-up paddle boards (SUPs), etc., Treasure Island Outfitters, LLC, can rent them to registered guests on the riverfront. Please contact the host for more information.

Downtown Eating and Events: Downtown Lynchburg offers over 45 restaurants, local breweries, rooftop bars, and wine bars. Enjoy summer events like Get Downtown and First Fridays. Nearby Riverside Park hosts Movies in the Park and has a spray ground for kids all summer long. Don’t miss the Lynchburg Community Market with local farmers on weekends and year-round shops and restaurants indoors.

Nearby Colleges and Universities: Our retreat is conveniently located just 10 miles from Liberty University, 6 miles from both the University of Lynchburg and Randolph College, and 13 miles from Sweet Briar College.

Pet Policy: We may allow one dog on the ground floor with a $100 pet fee. The dog must be crated when the owner is not present, must not get on the furniture or bed, and must be clean, dry, and free of fleas and ticks.

Security: Due to the private/secluded nature of the property, we have three exterior cameras. Cameras are located over each of the main parking areas and entrance doors and a third camera is located at the back of the house overlooking the riverfront, dock, and boat ramp. We do not have any indoor cameras.

Waiver and release agreement: Due to the unique features of the property and its inherent dangers, guests agree to waive and release the owners, hosts, etc. from any liability for damage or injury from the use of the property or its amenities, such as spiral staircases, hot tub, riverfront, dock, boat ramp, train trestle, etc.
Being child-friendly does not mean the area is child-proof. It is the responsibility of the guardian/parent to monitor their children's actions at all times. Guests also agree to supervise children at all times to limit any exposure to potential dangers.
