Skønt sted

Vi havde et dejligt ophold. Vi er i begyndelsen af 60'erne, arbejder stadig, så det vi gerne ville var at trække stikket og slappe af, hvilket vi virkelig gjorde i denne skønne villa, som kommer med et yderst hjælpsom personale. Vi nød den dejlige pool, selv om havet lå lige foran havelågen. Der var store bølger det meste af tiden, så vi nød lyden af havets brusen og brugte poolen.

Really nice property on fantastic beach. Helpful staff. The only think to be aware of is that the Villa is on a main road, and very close to the railway line which is very noisy throughout the night and did rather spoil our stay. Also on 3 of the days we stayed there we wedding events or birthday parties going on very close which totally spoilt the tranquillity of the place.

Excellent place to start your Sri Lanka holiday

After a 24 hour journey this place feels like coming home. Pick up from the airport and Curry diner ready. A beautiful house, nice pool and the sound of the waves coming to shore. Watching breath taking sunsets brings you straight in to the holiday mood. Sudath the manager arranges what ever you need and Aisha makes excellent curry’s. A place to remember and

closest you will get to paradise

My wife spent the last 8 nights of our touring holiday at The Green Parrot villa. If you are looking at a relaxing stay this is the place. Magnificent villa with lovely grounds and private swimming pool. This opens out to the beach and sea which was completely empty every day. Every morning we were served a lovely breakfast by the two lovely ladies. The options for eating out here are limited so every night we opted for the curry cooked superbly by the ladies. Some of the best curries we have had. Sudath vists every day to make sure all is ok and arranges a local tuk tuk guy to take you to town which has everything you would want. Very friendly local lad takes over at 5pm from the ladies and serves the food. All in all one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed in. Faultless

Green parrot paradise

After one week of driving around Sri Lanka, we were happy to arrive at the Green parrot Villa. Sudath, Thusha and Isa gave us a very warm welcome. They showed us around the House and the premises. Sudath came every morning to check whether everything was ok. Thusha, a very friendly and polite man was there when needed and took care of everything. He took us with his Tuk Tuk to a moonstone mine and the biggest lying Buddha. Being invited to his house and getting to know his family certainly was a Highlight of our stay. Isa is a wonderful Cook, who prepared delicious meals with fresh and high quality ingredients. We had dinner there nearly every night, because we could not get better Food. Try her devilled chicken and her dhal soup. The House and the surroundings were fantastic. We loved the Pool, the endless beach,the comfortable and wonderful air conditioned bed rooms, the spacious and very clean bath rooms. The house is nicely furnished and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We can highly recommend the Green Parrot Villa. It is a local area there are not many tourists around, but everything you need is close by and you have the Chance to get in touch with the locals. Talking to Thusha gave us an inside view of the life of Sri Lankan people and we learned a lot from him. We want to say thank you to all these wonderful people and wish them and there families all the best.

Amazing villa in the middle of paradise!

We (2 couples mid 20) have spent three weeks in Sri Lanka. After exhausting two weeks of sightseeing and travelling around Sri Lanka we were looking for a house where we could relax for a whole week. The villa of Sudath was the right choice for that! On arrival we were warmly welcomed by him and the two housekeepers. The house really offerrs everything you need for a relaxing holiday and is located in paradise with direct access to the beach and sea. The two ladies made delicous breakfast every morning and cleaned our kitchen and the bedrooms. Sudath visited us everyday and made sure everything is ok, he arranged Tuk Tuk‘s, full body massages and a driver to the airport. Everything was well organized and we could really focus on relaxing! :)

Property is very nice and well kept. Location is superb by the beach and Sudath and team are so nice and welcoming. They are great at organising everything from food to laundry. A great introduction to the beauty of Sri Lanka

This villa is amazing and the location to die for right on the beach and very good value for money.Sudarth the manager owner went out of his way to make sure we were well looked after.The property is beautifully designed and very clean with two delightful housekeepers Eeme and Gita who couldnt do enough for us.They served a delicous breakfast and can also cook an evening meal for you at reasonable rates and everything was delicous.We ate at the villa every night except one.There is also an onsite security guard overnight. I had been in touch with Sudarth since July 2018 and he had very kindly arranged a driver for us for our onward travels around the Island again at a very reasonable rate.He also arranges day tours from the Villa with a detailed price list available and also masseurs that come to the villa as there is a spare room next door for this purpose.We all had massages and they were very professional. The villa is fantastic value for money and we will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

Superbe maison, endroit magnifique

Nous avons passé 5 jours en famille dans cette maison. Cette maison est magnifique. Décoration moderne et très confortable. La piscine est extraordinaire, température à 29 degrés. La mer se trouve juste au bout du jardin, avec une plage très peu fréquentée. Le personnel est chaleureux et très disponible. Les repas sont excellents et le garde est également très sympathique et agréable. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Nous vous recommandons cette location sans hésitation.

Top! We'll come again!

A modern boutique style villa combines Western standards of comfort with the charm of the locality. Very special to mention is the incomparably loving, friendly service by the always smiling charming service staff. Authentic cuisine, where we could join and learn how to cook. The ocean is within 50 steps with a almost private beautiful sandy beach. Typically noises coming from the street now and then, but really not disturbing. Actually, these sounds, as well as the singing of the birds that visit the pool to drink water, add to the Sri Lanka feeling. Everything was well organised from the first day when we were picked up from the airport by the driver, Sudath came every day asking about our needs, organised day trips, which were perfect, singhalese breakfast in the morning and when we stayed singhalese dinner fresh cooked by the house staff. Many thanks to all those who have looked after us so attentively during our stay. It was a wonderful vacation and we are already planning the next stay. Alexandra & Niki (from Austria)

Green Parrot jolie villa sur la plage.

Nous avons passé 10 jours très reposants à la villa Green Parrot, certainement la plus jolie de la plage. Elle est confortable et décorée avec gout. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le jardin avec piscine donnant directement sur la plage. (Jolie plage mais très triste de voir des détritus en plastique de toutes sortes mon mari a même trouvé un pneu, des immondices s'accumulent un peu partout et personne ne fait rien ???? A part bruler de temps en temps ce qui donne une fumée irrespirable ! ) Nous avons été accueilli par Sudath qui peut faire les arrangements que vous souhaitez. Les gentilles Geetha et Irisha préparent de bons petits déjeunés et s'occupent du ménage, Sushil lui entretient le beau jardin et la piscine et est présent le soir pour garder la villa. Nous avons pris le tuk tuk tous les soirs pour diner à Hikkaduwa où nous avons apprécié quelques bons petits restaurants animés et les petites boutiques. N'oublions pas les adorables écureuils palmistes qui mettent de l'ambiance dans le jardin et qui nous ont bien amusés. Nous remercions toute l'équipe ainsi que Pia et Sudath pour avoir pu profiter de leur jolie villa.

Quelle magnifique semaine !

Wonderful 5 days stay in This beautiful house directly on the beach

The house is well Built and maintained. Housekeeping is good thanks to permanent presence of people in the house. This makes you feel safe. Possibility to be all inclusive: the Cook is wonderful Either for local food or more "european" dishes. Sudath, the owner, is passing twice per day to Check if we need Anything and Generally is finding Quick solutions for whatever issue, from the organisation of à trip to Galle to a simple tuk tuk call for the closest city Everything is in place to have à wonderful stay and enjoy the pool or go to the beach. Total Parrot-dise!

From the moment we arrrived at the villa we have been nothing but impressed with the friendliness and fantastic level of service from Sudath and the staff. We were expecting to fend for ourselves as normal for a villa rental, but this has been more like having our own private hotel just for our family. Nothing has been too much trouble to arrange and organise for us, with twice-daily visits by Sudath to plan the day's trips and order delicious home cooked meals for the evening. The villa itself is like something out of a Bond movie and total five-star luxury, and its location right on the beach front with cooling sea breeze and perfect-temperature pool make this the perfect place for chilling out in the glorious sunshine to a soundtrack of crashing waves - and best of all, no mosquitos! We were a bit worried about the weather before we came, as all the weather-feeds showed thunderstorms and rain for our whole nine days here (and still do), but we are now convinced this is just a ruse to keep this little slice of heaven a secret from the rest of the world... we have had nothing but glorious sunshine barring the odd wispy cloud to temper the scorching heat. The only down-side is that we have to leave this paradise and go home... but we will certainly be returning here at the earliest possible opportunity!

Fabuleusement exceptionnel

Mr sudath nous a accueilli de maniere exceptionnelle . Ils a été aux petits soins à notre égard en satisfaisant avec professionnalisme et enthousiasme à toutes nos requêtes et bien au delà ! Il nous a aussi été d'un conseil précieux ds le choix de nos activités . La villa était superbe meublée simplement mais avec un goût certain .son exposition et situation avec grande terrasse et piscine avec acces prive direct à la plage en fait un lieu de villégiature paisible et hors du commun . Les plats prodigues par nos 2 cuisinières étaient tous merveilleusement parfumés et goûteux .. une vraie cuisine de terroir à la sri lankaise !! Je ne peux que chaudement recommender a quiconque cet endroit si vous venez au Sri Lanka et désirez séjourner sur la côte sud ouest ! Encore merci à me sudath !! See you soon !

Quiet Beachfront Villa

Stayed at the Green Parrot Villa for 2 weeks. It has 2 en suite double bedrooms, open plan dining, sitting area and kitchen. Additionally there is a TV area and a covered terrace overlooking the garden and the sea. The villa is secluded within a beautiful lawned garden and coconut trees. The living areas combine luxury with a touch of Sri Lankan charm in the kitchen and bathrooms. There is a team of 3 staff that serve the villa 24 hours a day. 2 ladies throughout the day serve a wonderful breakfast, clean, wash and iron for you at no additional cost. They can also provide any food from the menu throughout the day and evening, at an additional, but nominal cost. The food is truly amazing. Curry and rice is fantastic as is the chicken with kankun (kind of spinach). Susil is onsite for any requirements overnight in his own quarters and will serve a late dinner, especially if you are on long trips to Yala, Kandy, Colombo etc. Nothing is too much trouble for Sudath, he comes every day to check everything is ok and whether there is anything he can do for you. From personal experience we strongly recommend that you use Sudath to arrange any transfers from and to the airport, and to book all excursions, massages, taxis etc. All are reasonably priced. A local tuk-tuk driver is also to hand if you wish to go to Ambalangoda ('The City') or Hikkaduwa. Prices are fixed but very cheap- Rs250 to Ambalangoda both ways including waiting! Or you can catch the bus for just Rs10 per person one way. 'The City' is quite hectic so expect your journey to take a little time. Alternatively Sudath can arrange a tuk-tuk driver to pick up any supplies if you require. He can also arrange BBQ equipment if required. This is a beautiful villa from which you can get out of your private pool onto a sun bed and look out over the sea. The sandy beach is deserted and all yours. Beach chairs and pool towels are provided together with bath towels and linen. You will need to bring your own toiletries. If you are after a quiet holiday with a beachfront location in southern Sri Lanka this is probably as good as it gets for the money. Thank you to Sudath and his team for an amazing experience.

Absolute bliss!

We spent a week in April with our 2 children ages 4 and 2. Pia arranged transfers to and from the airport in a clean and comfortable minibus with plenty of room and drinks and snacks. The villa is ever bit as gorgeous as the photos suggest; modern, light and airy but with an authentic feel. The bedrooms are well air conditioned with mosquito nets and stunning bathrooms en suite. The outdoor areas were perfect for us - who doesn't want a pool that leads onto a spacious lawn that leads onto a pristine sandy beach. The currents were too strong to bathe due to the time of year but the children loved playing on the white sands. Pia visited daily but was unobtrusive and very helpful. He arranged a tuk tuk whenever we needed, recommended local restaurants and things to do. The ladies who cook and clean are amazing!! Our breakfasts were an extensive collection of eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles and the most delicious passion fruit jam. We ate dinner in the villa on 3 occasions and everything we ordered was delicious. You must try the Sri Lankan curry. I honestly cannot fault anything about the stay with regards to the accommodation, provisions, staffing or location. We will certainly be back and wholeheartedly recommend the villa. It is best suited to a family or 2 couples. Incredible value for money!!

Wonderfully comfortable, private and clean

The house is everything that it is advertized to be. The hosts were helpful and gracious, at all hours. The house was comfortable, clean, modern, and so relaxing. The home-cooked food was delicious and included a copious Western breakfast. The house staff were sensitive to give us privacy. Our laundry was washed and pressed every day at no extra charge. We took day trips to local temples and Galle and enjoyed the private pool and beach. We highly recommend this rental property.
