Zeer leuk vakantiehuis met tuin op 15´ wandelen van le vieux lyon. Een treintje op kabelbaan brengt je van in centrum tot op 200m van vakantiehuis. Leuke buurt en uitstekende vriendelijke gastheer!

Joris et sa femme sont des visiteurs très agréables, que j'accueillerai à nouveau avec plaisir. J'ai apprécié leur gentillesse, leur discrétion, et l'état impeccable dans lequel ils ont laissé la maison.

A hidden gem in Fourviere
It was such a a surprise to find our backyard was a large garden! Philippe was an exceptional host! His hand drawn map of the local streets was much more useful than Google maps! Downstairs you find the bathroom+ separate toilet and a spacious kitchen equiped with everything a homecook needs. Upstairs are the rooms with garden views. A spacious living area and large master bedroom. Room to do yoga! Tastefully renovated, reflecting the owners style. A beautiful vase belonging to his grandmother was just another delight to discover. There are no laundry facilities. But nothing to worry about with a Laundromat just across the street. A quick walk to the funicular and connections to the very efficient metro & tram system make it very easy for traveller's without a car! We highly recommend the Lyon city card that includes public transport. Philippe's English is great which was very helpful as we are non french speaking Australians! The location and a fabulous host make this a "must book" for Lyon!

A wonderful home in a wonderful city
The location of the house is amazing. We stayed 7 days and went to Bellecour (main square) TCL bus operator (bus stop outside) where we purchased a 7 day pass for 22 euros giving access to ALL transport. Funicular is 2 minutes walk away, buses outside door. The system is ultra simple and the location meant we were able to explore the WHOLE city fast, efficiently and at a minimal cost. One of the best bakeries I know in France is a few steps away (grains de sucre) and there are a few local shops around it too. As we ate out mostly, it wasn't difficult for us to buy a few basics. The house is lovely, decorated with taste and very light. Be aware loo and bathroom are downstairs so not a house for limited mobility but then neither is Lyon which can be up and down often and is HUGE. Philippe, our host, is a perfect host and gentleman. The house has plenty of bin bags, loo rolls, detergent, cooking oils, vinegars etc which, again, is great. We called on Philippe a couple of times and he gave us immediate assistance. We would recommend this home 100 %. Fabuleux... MERCI PHILIPPE.

Juste formidable...
Un appartement très bien situé, très propre et super bien équipé, meublé avec goût, ce qui ne gâche rien, dans un quartier calme de Lyon et très bien achalandé. Un emplacement de parking est dédié à l'appartement, ce qui est vraiment appréciable. Un petit jardin clôturé, ce qui permet une vie à l'extérieur, d'autant que nous sommes venus avec notre chien, un Berger Allemand de 8 mois. Un hôte (Philippe) juste adorable, très à l'écoute et complètement disponible. Un séjour qui s'est parfaitement déroulé et que nous recommandons sans la moindre hésitation à toute personne qui rechercherait une location dans le secteur. Régine et Christian

superb
We cannot fault the stay in anyway. Philippe was the perfect host. We stayed for 2 weeks, the house is clean ,comfortable and very quiet, the courtyard is perfect for sitting out in. Philippe lives nearby and is always on hand to help and offer any advice, check in and in fact the whole stay was so trouble free.The location is perfect, the funicular is about 500 yards away which leads directly to all metro/tram/bus lines. Lyon is a very beautiful city, the food is as nice as you would hope, the locals are very friendly. We are sad to leave. Thank you Philippe :)

Great
Philippe was a great host, friendly, and always responsive. The apartment has everything you need for a short or longer stay, and having an outdoor garden area is a bonus. The location is great - a short walk to the Fenicular which gets you to the old town in 2 minutes which is lovely, lots of cafes and restaurants, while a further 5 minute walk across the bridge gets you in to Lyon proper which is lovely city. There’s a supermarket, butcher and boloungerie in easy walking distance. It’s a great place to stay.

Comfortable and convenient
We enjoyed our stay in Philipe's home which was charmed and modern, with everything you need to cook if you like or just have a restful moment with a cup of coffee from the Nespresso machine provided. His place overlooks his beautiful garden on one side and the street on the other; both were quiet during our stay. We were in the midst of a heat wave so it was very hot in the evenings. If you plan to stay when it's very hot, I recommend wearing light pajamas and possibly having a water spray bottle to help you cool off while the fan blows. The location of the home was about two blocks to the funicular, and the public transit system in Lyon is very easy to navigate. We were able to go everywhere we wanted conveniently with a 48 hour metro pass. If you are not very mobile, I highly recommend the funicular, as the walk up and down to Vieux Lyon is one very very long cobblestoned street. Thank you for your warm hospitality Philipe!

Perfekte Unterkunft
Das kleine, sehr charmante Haus mit dem Garten in ruhiger Umgebung war perfekt für meinen 11tägigen Aufenthalt in Lyon. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, die gesamte Wohnung sehr sauber und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die guten Verkehrsverbindungen (Bus und Funicullaire) sowie verschiedene Einkaufsgeschäfte in unmittelbarer Nähe sind ideal. Philippe Henry ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber, immer bereit, allfällige Fragen zu beantworten und wertvolle Tipps zu geben. Vielen Dank. Ich kann diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Great host, great location.
We had a wonderful stay at Philippe's rental. The apartment is well appointed and there is a private outdoor sitting area. It is situated in a mostly residential area with good restaurants close by. The funicular is a 5 minute walk away and will take you to Old Lyon in 10 minutes. Philippe is wonderful and is always there for you. We would highly recommend this rental.

We loved staying here. It's very easy to access Lyon using the funicular. Super easy. Philippe's place has a courtyard and a comfortable little house. It was so comfortable to come back there at the end of the day. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! C'est un endroit merveilleux où séjourner. Philippe est un hôte parfait. Très facile d'accès à tout Lyon. Vous êtes juste en haut de la colline du vieux Lyon et pouvez utiliser le funiculaire pour y accéder en quelques minutes.

A lovely oasis
The house itself is very thoughtfully set out, with a good selection of kitchen tools (good knives!) and a comfortable bed and couch. The neighborhood is charming, with several nice restaurants very nearby, and a few places to get supplies for cooking at home. Fourviere Basilica and the ruins of Lugdunum are approx 10 mins walk away, the funicular into Vieux Lyon is 3 minutes away, and all in all, this is a perfectly situated spot. The garden and its denizens are lovely. Philipe is a thoughtful, pleasant host, who checked in on us when our paths crossed and gave us some very welcome suggestions. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house to friends and family, and would cheerfully come back.

Magnifique
Très sympathique logement a qq minutes du vieux Lyon, conforme à l annonce, très bien aménagé, il ne manque rien, tout y est bien pensé !!! Propriétaire nous donne pleins de bonnes infos pour éclaircir notre visite et nous le remercions. Pour deux qui voyagent avec leurs animaux de compagnie, vous pouvez y aller en tte tranquilité. La météo était très favorable avec bcp de chaleur, dommage que les moustiques nous aient pris pour cibles,cela nous laissera des souvenirs.

Very nice home with a beautiful garden
Philippe’s home is absolutely beautiful. Full kitchen with everything you need to cook a nice meal. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see and do. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. This is the best place that we stayed on our entire trip. We highly recommend it if you are planning to visit Lyon.

A calm oasis in an amazing location
We loved our stay at this house on top of the hill in Fourviere. The location is brilliant - the funicular that takes you down to Vieux Lyon and Metro connections to the rest of Lyon is just a few minutes walk from the house, and it’s also an easy walk to the amazing basilica that can be seen from across Lyon, and to the Roman amphitheater and museum. The house itself was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed, very clean, comfortable bed, plenty of space for the two of us, and a lovely little garden area to sit for drinks and food. A real oasis. Philippe was an excellent host, extremely hospitable and helpful. We highly recommend this house to other travelers!

Philippe was very accommodating throughout our short stay in Lyon, even leaving fresh fruit for us. We did our best to speak French but Google Translate did the trick. Location was very convenient to the bus and funicular. Space was fine for two people. Only downside was having the tiny bathroom downstairs. Would be great to add window shades to the windows downstairs for more privacy.

Perfectly located comfortable well furnished property
We liked this property and it is exactly as advertised. Our host Philippe was very helpful, always on hand to help, but without intruding on our privacy. It was very comfortable, beautifully and tastefully furnished, with everything we needed. We were able to really relax. The area has plenty of take away food restaurants and other eateries and we enjoyed using the funicular(which was very close to the property) to visit the other sites in Lyon. We will be re booking another trip later this year and can't wait to visit Lyon and the little house again.

Logement idéalement situé, quartier calme, avec toutes les commodités notamment les transports en commun sans avoir l’impression d être en ville car le gîte dispose d une terrasse avec vue sur un jardin. Would stay again in a heart beat . . . .
Location was ideal! We don't mind getting some elevation on our walks - so that was great for us. The funiculars run every few minutes for those too tired to make the climb. Clean property. Owner lives on the same property and was always at hand if needed.

Très agréable location
Petite maison très agréable, bien équipée et cosy. Elle est extrêmement bien située (commerces et transports à proximité immédiate, bus à la porte et funiculaire à 5 minutes à pied qui nous amènent directement dans le centre de Lyon et le Vieux Lyon). La maison, pourtant très proche du centre, donne l’impression d’être à la campagne grâce à son jardin, sa terrasse et la verdure qui l’entourent, un vrai havre de paix. Mr Henry est très accueillant, charmant et très discret tout en étant à l’écoute de nos besoins éventuels. En conclusion, lieu de séjour idéal dans lequel nous reviendrons très certainement.

Ravie de ce petit coin de paradis!
Absolument ravies de nos 3 nuits en cette maisonnette à l'abris de la ville. Nous avons respecté les 10km et avons eu l'impression d'être parties très loin! Du calme, un grand espace extérieur, une maisonnette décorée avec goût, tout le nécessaire à disposition et les principaux lieux touristiques de Lyon à proximité. Philippe, nôtre hôte, a été bienveillant envers nous. Je ne peux que le remercier et conseiller ce petit coin de paradis.

Perfect stay
Philippe was a superb host and very kind. The house was perfect for our stay. The decor is very chic and everything you could need is provided even Netflix. We didn’t cook but the kitchen is very well equipped. The location is ideal as close to the historic sites and a walk down the hill, or use the funicular, to explore the other areas. There is so much to explore and many restaurants to choose from. Thank you again Philippe for your generous hospitality and we hope we can return in the future for a longer stay and explore Lyon further.
