A very cute flat in a good location. The host was very nice. He met us in person and walked us through the unit. The unit itself is in a great location - within the walls but outside of the crowded center. The downside is that it is on the first floor on a busy road. During the day there is a fair amount of foot traffic, cars and noise. Nighttime is quiet. The biggest issue we had with the unit was the quality. The air conditioner units are loud - even for wall units. And oddly, there are no outlets on one side of the kitchen so you can’t use the microwave or kettle with out relocating them and and unplugging other appliances. The best thing about the flat was the bakery next door - a local favorite. Wonderful coffee and pastries.

Generally the apartment was lovely. Bit noisy from what we think might have been a lift in an adjoining building. Also not generously supplied with essentials. Only three mugs, 2 plastic bags for recycling & there were four categories of waste. But we had a wonderful time in Lucca, great location & lovely bakery next door.

Apartment in Lucca

Very nice comfortable apartment. Absolutely the perfect size for 2 people. Fantastic location, close to all the shopping, coffee shops and restaurants within the walls of where the apartment is located. Very comfortable lay out. Communication with the property manager was easy and convenient and made the arrival on our first day easy. Would absolutely stay there again in the future if I were fortunate enough to visit again!

Quiet and cozy

Loved our stay here. No long flights of stairs to go up. Clean and comfortable. Cute decor. Bed very comfortable. Would have liked more natural light but otherwise really great.

We found the communication with the office was very good, but with the person dealing with us as manager of the property it was very poor. We followed all the instructions for checking in, text and phone to the property manager. Tried to phone her several times to tell her we were waiting at the door but got no reply. She then arrived. The initial visual impression of the apartment was very good, however, when we opened the door, there is a very, very strong unpleasant smell of damp The bedroom was very damp. It should’ve been aired before our arrival. The property manager indicated that there had been a flood a few weeks before. We were not warned of this. There were no toiletries at all. No basic starter pack of anything in the kitchen. No dishcloths, tea towel or anything to wipe surfaces. We called the property manager who indicated the toiletries should’ve been there. She advised that she would be back with toiletries, within an hour. After several phone calls, nearly 3 hours later, she came back with a complimentary box of toiletries. When checking out we messaged and phoned the property manager several times to ask for the check out procedure but received no reply and the phone was not answered. We contacted the office who responded immediately and were very extremely helpful. we spent the whole week with the windows open airing the apartment substantially reducing the smell of damp. Its a great little apartment if you sort out the damp

Lucca Holiday

The apartment was located on the edge of the town which was fine - it was easy to walk in within a few minutes. Being on the ground floor, it was quite dark and there wasn't a huge amount of natural light. Bed very comfortable and the shower was good. It's not as spacious as it appears from the photos, but overall it was a good stay and the management were helpful.

Beautiful Setting

Wonderful old area. Very clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the wall - walking and biking. Our only hitch was waiting for someone to meet us as planned. Luckily there was a bakery next door as we had to wait for over an hour. We had already confirmed the time. Things worked out and our stay was memorable.

Lovely location in a lovely town

My husband and I recently stayed 2 weeks in Lucca, using it as a home-base to explore this region of Tuscany, and loved our stay in this apartment. The apartment is small, but large enough for 2 people, comfortable (the bedroom is in the back of the building and is away from any street noise), with all you'll need to make yourself at home. The location is perfect ~ we did not have a car with us and used our feet, rental bikes, and public transportation (the train is so close) to get around. But we also discovered that just being in Lucca was enough ~ it's such a pretty town, with plenty of interesting sights, good shops and restaurants, and the most amazing selection of pasticcerie! Oh, and so many musical events to enjoy: the Puccini concerts each night were amazing. Our check-in and check-out process was without a hitch, there's plenty of information in the "house binder," and Lucca is super easy to figure out. I highly recommend it. My only "complaint" is there is a small fragrance diffuser that affected my husband's allergies, so we moved it into a cupboard to reduce the smell during our stay. I don't think it was necessary, since there were no bad smells in building and all the windows open for some fresh air (this is just my preference, I'm not much for fragrance). Perfetto, grazie mille!
