We booked a seaview room and were pleased to get the dual aspect room with views of west beach, the lighthouse, golf course and the RAF base runway. There weren’t any flights taking off but the more distant view was a bonus. The room was warm and there were seats and a table so we could sit and enjoy the view whilst it was raining outside. The bed was comfortable once we had managed to sort the quilt out. It had been positioned very low down with all the excess tucked in at the bottom causing the mattress to be raised at the feet. The shower was interesting. It didn’t mix the water so it was either very cold or very hot, no inbetween, but we managed.
We took advantage of the two course dinner offer for residents and there were plenty of options on the menu. We also had the buffet breakfast in the morning, which had both hot and cold options and we ate plenty to keep the us going past lunchtime.
All in all a great stay and good value for money.
