The Setting
From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the calm of this tucked-away property. The large front and back porches are made for morning coffee, afternoon naps, and evenings around the fire. Rocking chairs and outdoor seating invite you to slow down, listen to the frogs, spot birds overhead, and enjoy the expansive yard that feels like your own private nature preserve.

The home itself is situated down a quiet dead-end road—no traffic, no city noise—just the sounds of rustling trees and distant crickets. It's the perfect basecamp for rest, creative retreats, or simply escaping the pace of everyday life.


Inside the Home
The interior is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully styled with a blend of rustic charm and modern touches. Tall windows let in natural light throughout the day, and neutral tones create a sense of calm. There’s plenty of space for up to six guests to spread out comfortably without feeling crowded.

The living room is the heart of the home, with two large sofas, a leather recliner, and an oversized smart TV perfect for movie nights. An electric fireplace adds a cozy glow in the evenings, creating a welcoming space to gather after a day spent exploring or relaxing.


Dining & Kitchen

Just off the living area is a spacious dining room with seating for six. Whether you're enjoying a home-cooked meal or takeout from a local spot, there’s plenty of room for everyone to come together and share stories around the table.

The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for anything—from quick breakfasts to full family dinners. You’ll find all the essentials, including modern appliances, cookware, utensils, a coffee maker, and basic pantry items. A washer and dryer are also available for your convenience, making The Outpost ideal for longer stays.

Each bedroom was designed to feel like its own little retreat:
Primary Suite: The oversized master bedroom features a plush king-size memory foam bed, a smart TV, and a large dresser. The en-suite bathroom is a true highlight, complete with a large soaking tub, separate walk-in shower, double vanity, and a spacious walk-in closet.

Second Bedroom: This room offers a comfortable queen-size bed with cozy bedding and soft lighting—perfect for winding down after a quiet day.

Third Bedroom: A flexible space featuring a full-size daybed and a twin trundle bed beneath it. Whether you’re traveling with kids, friends, or extra family, this room offers versatility and comfort.

Just 15 minutes from Hammond and 25 from Covington, you’ll find the perfect balance of rural quiet and local convenience. Whether you're visiting loved ones nearby or exploring a new corner of Louisiana, The Outpost Camp makes a perfect base.

Your Hosts at Bonnabel Haus Properties
We’re a boutique, woman-owned company that manages a carefully curated selection of homes across Louisiana and Idaho. At Bonnabel Haus Properties, we believe in creating welcoming spaces where guests can truly relax and feel cared for. We’re local, available, and always happy to share tips to help you make the most of your stay.

Important Things to Note:
- Guests will have sole access to the house including the designated parking, fire pit, porches, etc.
- Check-in is at 5 PM and Check-out is at 10 AM
- No pets allowed
- No smoking or vaping ~ $1,000 cleaning fee if violated
- Ample off-street parking, including covered areas for trailers or work vehicles
- Self check-in with keypad
- Inquire about long-term stays or special rates for traveling professionals
- Please note that there is another rental on the property. The other unit is facing away from this rental and has their own entrance and parking so you each will maintain privacy. Just as we'll ask them to do, please don't wander over to their side of the property and respect their privacy. Thank you!
- Guests are asked to respect neighbors and noise guidelines, quiet hours are from 10 PM - 8 AM

Hurricanes/Storms
Louisiana weather can be unpredictable, and while we do our best to prepare for anything, we cannot be held responsible for delays, power outages, storms, or other unforeseen events outside our control. Refunds will not be issued for weather-related events, utility interruptions, or other circumstances beyond our influence. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for added peace of mind.
