Fint hotell med ordinær hotellfrokost, hyggelig personalet, bra standard og renhold på rommene. Ligger rolig og fint til i byen, nærme metroen, 25-30 minutter å gå fra sentrum.

Dette var et hyggelig hotell. Hyggelig betjening. Det var mye som ikke fungerte på rommene bl.a. safen fungerte ikke, dusjen var tett, manglende lyspære på badet. Dette ble gitt beskjed om i resepsjonen, men ikke utbedret.

Five star hotel with four star standard
A five star hotel with four star standard. Experiences is all about expectations. This might have been a five star hotel 10-15 year ago. But here they have to invest in upghrading to keep the stars. The hotel seems a little used. If it was four star it would be ok, but for five you expect the little extra. And small things where missing, for example no coffe inn room (even most four star hotels have instant coffe available). Breakfast ok, with omelettes to be made available. But when asked, they had no fish available. For five star hotels it is seldom not to see a variety of fish like salmon. All in all, ok – it was an ok price so prise to experience is ok. But five star – if you expect a four star hotel it will be ok.

The staff here was very attentive and kind. I had a long flight and they were gracious enough to allow us an early check in. Breakfast was good. The central air did not seem to work efficiently, so we were warm at night and eventually just slept with the windows open, which made the room much more comfortable. Overall, nice place. I can tell that the staff take great pride in providing a positive experience for guests.

The hotel was clean. The staff friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and user friendly. The balcony contained a table for two. The bed was comfortable. The gym had aerobic machines and weights. Massages and jacuzzi was available. The grocery store and pharmacy was close by. Conveniently located for walking here and there.

This is a well-appointed hotel, and our room was comfortable and spacious. Staff were very helpful, and spoke embarrassingly good English. The food was prepared to a very high standard. There is a nearby metro station that takes you straight through to the airport in about 20 minutes.

The hotel is located well just north of the centre with good metro connections around 5-10 mins walk away. Nice local coffee shops and restaurants without the bustle of central Lisbon. Hotel itself is clean and tidy in the public spaces, rooms are in need of an upgrade, small things needed like phone charging points, decent hairdryers and not having to pay for bottled water. Breakfast was abundant, great choice in the buffet, but was fairly crowded in the space available, felt a little claustrophobic and not a relaxed start to the day.

This hotel very much in need of some updates. Small suiting area off lobby with couches that are completely worn out. Upon sitting in them you sink neatly too the floor. Beds are uncomfortable and pillows old and no flexibility. The parking garage under hotel. To get down with your car is treacherous, to say the least. The curves are SO TIGHT!! ( I’m from NYC I know tight space) we thought we were going to get stuck! Staff at desk not super friendly. Breakfast though was ample, plenty for any type of diet. Shower hot and water pressure great. Overall ok, but needs some upgrades.

Overall the hotel was good. Though not quite up to the standard of 5 star rating. Still like a 3 star hotel to me. Plus side, room was clean and the bathroom was nice. Breakfast had some inconsistencies but overall good. The biggest downside was the room temperature control. It got too warm and a bit sweaty and had to open the window for cool air. We mentioned it but I don't think they did not actively did anything as no one got back to us. Oh also, I really cannot believe we had to pay for coffee in the room. Tea was free but no milk available unless you paid for it.

I hate to write a review like this, but it is deserved. This is a FIVE star hotel in a great location. The hotel itself is nice, modern, and desrving of its 5-star status from a physical point of view. However, every single employee (with the exception of one young lady in the evening) is absolutely cold and unwelcoming. They made you feel like you were bothering them simply by checking in. This is not a cultural issue as we were in Lisbon the week prior, stayed at a 4-star hotel, and the staf was an absolute delight. This place is absolutely unbelievable, almost as if the manager was trying to sabotage the hotel with surly staff. If a nice property is in your vision, this place will work, if you want to be welcomed as a guest and be treated with respect, go elsewhere.

A Disappointing Stay at a Formerly Grand Hotel
The hotel has many technical and managerial issues: To begin with, the hotel has numerous broken amenities. The spa, the elevator, and the wifi. It's disheartening to see a hotel that could have easily been a five-star establishment decades ago fall so far behind the times. It's clear that the senior management has neglected the necessary updates and maintenance required to keep the hotel up to par with modern standards. Last but not least, the breakfast waiting line, 40 minutes waiting for a table, it is a disgrace since the breakfast itself was wonderful.

A rede Wi-Fi não funcionava no quarto. Mesmo falando com a recepção por duas vezes sobre a minha necessidade de Wi-Fi, nada fizeram. Não aconselho a ninguém cuja a vida dependa de uma boa rede a reservar nesse hotel.

Beautiful hotel
I had the most wonderful stay at the Real Hotel Palácio from the very beginning to the end of my stay. I arrived early, and the room I booked wasn’t ready. They were kind enough to upgrade me to a nicer room that was ready so I could check in sooner. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The staff was great and accommodating. The food in both restaurants was delicious. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend anyone else to stay there.

Why does this hotel have 5 stars?
First, when we arrived, we had to switch rooms, and in the new room the air conditioning was not working. We spent the first night in a very hot room (more than 25°C), and my wife and son had a headache the day after. The second day there were four visits by the maintenance staff to fix the air conditioning, without succeeding and in the end we were offered another room, but we did have the strength to more all our things to the new room, so we stayed with the staff's recommendation to sleep with the window open. Which we did, and we woke up several times because there was a lot of noise outside the window (garbage trucks, etc). The first night we went to the restaurant, and even if the food was ok, we had to get the staff's attention by knocking on the kitchen door (we could hear them laughing and having fun inside the kitchen). Our family likes to work out, so we made sure that there was a fitness center and spa, but it was also a disappointment, because the exercise equipment was mostly broken, even the pool. The thing that made us the most sad was that at no point in all these problems did anyone offer us any compensation, no offer to change to a better room (upgrade, discount, etc), and even if we understand that things go wrong sometimes, if there is a will to fix it somehow, that can make all the difference, but that will or capacity was not there, in any of the staff.
