This lodge was an amazing stay! They provide 2 safaris, one in the morning and one at night, as well as breakfast/lunch/dinner. The guides are fantastic at finding animals, and were very thoughtful on finding specific animals from the Big 5 that we haven’t seen. I would definitely stay here again!

Simplesmente espetacular
A nossa hospedagem no Kapama foi simplesmente sensacional. Superando as nossas expectativas. Desde a chegada o atendimento foi excelente. As acomodações são lindas e muito confortáveis. A comida, nem se fale, todas as refeições foram muito saborosas, inclusive com o chef indo conversar conosco sobre elas. Notas especiais ao nosso garçom Charles, ótimo atendimento, simpatia e alto astral (até um pouco de Português ele falava) e aos nossos rangers Collins e Niko que fizeram de tudo para encontrar os amimais e nos explicavam tudo sobre eles. Muito obrigado a todos do hotel. Totalmente recomendado.

Lodge localizado dentro de linda e intocada reserva na savana. Rangers e veículos especializados em levar os hóspedes a safaris para visualização de animais em seu habitat. Culinária perfeita, pessoal simpático e bem treinado. Limpeza impecável. Instalações muito bem cuidadas. Parabéns!

This place is amazing. Got everything you need and more for a safari experience. The staff is great and the villas are so beautiful. We saw the big 5 multiple times, one time in just one day. Thank you Kapama Karula!

Fantastic 5-star experience
Kapama met and surpassed all expectations we had for a 5-star game reserve. The staff were ever present to ensure your stay was as you wished, the facilities were clean and easily accessible, and the decor/architecture was outstanding. The highlight for us was the food, which was consistently delicious with a always that was always new and fresh for each meal sitting.

Memories to last a lifetime
Sometimes, the stars do align. And it is easier to align if the game reserve staff go above and beyond. This game reserve did exactly that. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and decided on a whim to experience a game drive holiday. From the pickup at the airport to dropping off, our stay and experience here went far beyond our expectations. What makes this game reserve stand out is the friendliness and attention to detail each staff have, and they striving to make us feel at home and welcomed. The all inclusive stay has wonderful food and drinks. We stayed four nights and found it perfectly adequate to enjoy the two daily included game drives. We had the perfect guide and tracker, Edwin and Tokollo, whom we clicked well with, and sharing the vehicle with the cute couple David and Aggie too. Every game drive the six of us have together is wonderfully informative, funny and fun. Thank you both, Edwin and Tokollo for making this a perfect trip. Truly memories to last a lifetime.

What a beautiful experience this was. I was blown away with the hospitality and service this lodge provided. The staff are incredible and make you feel at home. They go above and beyond. Tintswalo, Erasmus, Faith, Collins and Nicco were a few to mention. The game drives were sensational . This will remain a core memory for years to come. Can’t wait to visit again.

An epic stay
If you are going to splurge on a safari, you might as well do it right and visit Kapama. They get to know each guest and pamper you, but the amazing staff also give you time and space to do your thing. Whether you want a romantic retreat, epic family vacation or a friend’s get-away, Kapama is an awesome spot. It is where I’ll take all my visitors who make the long journey to Southern Africa to come see me.

Abbiamo trascorso i nostri ultimi 3 giorni di un viaggio di un mese in SudAfrica ed era - come da nostra aspettativa - la ciliegina sulla torta. Tutte le recensioni lette in precedenza corrispondevano in pieno a quello che abbiamo vissuto. La struttura é bella, grande, pulitissima, nel mezzo del loro parco. Abbiamo avuto sia gli elefanti come anche le giraffe “a vista”, a colazione. Tutto molto curato, bella piscina, palestra, centro benessere. Il personale molto gentile, i Rancher (noi avevamo Michael) particolarmente preparati e tutte le uscite erano emozionanti e abbiamo potuto avvistate tutti Big5 in vicinanza e imparato tanto sui loro habitat e comportamenti. La nostra stanza - avevamo prenotato una Suite era spaziosa, letto comodissimo, bagno grande, tutto creato e adattato all’ambiente circostante. Il cibo buono, in abbondanza… si mangia anche sin troppo, dai vari spuntini prima e durante i drive, abbinato alla colazione, pranzo e cena si mangia anche fino a 7 volte al giorno. Ottimo anche l’assegnazione di un cameriere personale, così il trattamento durante le giornate erano personalizzate, come se si fosse in un BoutiqueHotel. Tutto organizzato per dare la massima privacy e discrezione alle persone, ma nello stesso momento si é nell’interno di un complesso strutturato ed ampio. Che dire… complimenti, noi ci siamo trovati bene e capisco il perché hanno così tanti clienti che ritornano per un soggiorno.Ottimo rapporto qualità e prezzo per quello che si riceve.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Words cannot describe how we feel about Kapama River Lodge. This place is unbelievable. I’ve stayed at many 5* hotels, but this lodge is far more superior than any of them. The team are AMAZING, Azaria and Milton, our ranger and tracker were unbelievable and so committed to help us track down what we wanted. Kulani the waiter was an absolute delight. Not a single day did I ever see him not smiling. The housekeeping team would make the rooms up three times a day. For our first night, they even got a hot bubble bath ready for my wife before we got back from dinner. To top it all off, the food is outstanding. I have never tasted food at any hotel, lodge or boutique this good, ever. Over our 4 days we were stuffed. We’ve never been offered so much food before and there’s a LOT of variety. We felt sad to leave as it felt we were leaving our family behind. All in all, if you’re doing a safari, and have any doubt on where to go or stay, choose Kapama. They will do absolutely everything they can to make your stay with them as good as it can get.

Everything was amazing. The food was delicious, staff friendly and patient. The most outstanding part of our trip was the game drives with our game ranger Edwin and tracker Sipho. They were the biggest hit with my kids and we will be returning just because of them.

Not happy
I was very disappointed by the room and the cleaning service, I expected better. The turndown was also a disappointment as they did not even go extra mile for my birthday yet we paid extra change for it. Our bed was as if it was made by a 9 year old baby, the room was dirty throughout our stay yet the cleaner came back very day. The only thing we enjoyed was the restaurant and game drive.
