At the time we stayed, the hotel was undergoing its transition from Glo by Best Western to the now Holiday Inn Express Lexington Horse Park Area. We booked the hotel because we have stayed there before and like it, and with the expectation that we would get a good hot breakfast as in the past. On the afternoon of our scheduled arrival, we received a text from the hotel explaining that due to the renovation, the breakfast area, pool, and fitness room were not available, and we would receive a "Grab and Go" breakfast. This consisted of a frozen sausage biscuit sandwich, an apple, and a small yogurt parfait. The microwave in the room was not up to the task of properly heating the sandwich, so we had food that was hot on the edges and still nearly frozen in the middle. We ended up getting breakfast elsewhere. There are very few restaurants in this area of Lexington, so it is not likely that we will stay here again, unless Holiday Inn's prices are considerably lower than they typically are.
