I cannot rate this place highly enough. Lovely welcome, great food and both hosts go over and above to create a homely atmosphere. This place has a real sense of history and individuality. Will be back, one of Fife s hidden gems and everything a great b and b should be. Even sell homemade jam😊

Really enjoyed our stay, great location and fabulous hosts. Really helpful and local knowledge as well. Good recommendations for places to eat and to visit. Great breakfast and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Used the hottub a couple of times and great to have a sitting room to use. Couldnt fault our stay

We throughly enjoyed our over night stay, all the previous reviews are spot on…. Julie is an amazing host and the shortbread in our room was delicious……Breakfast the next morning was perfect, cooked to order…. Would definitely stay again if in the area …. Well done Julie.

I was there to attend a memorial service for a friend - never easy ! I really enjoyed my stay with these friendly Cumbrians & would certainly not hesitate in arranging a return trip.

2nd time staying at Dunclutha. Lovely guest house. Room was spotless with some nice additional touches ,- bottled water, shortbread, toiletries. Owners very friendly. Good choices for breakfast.

Superb friendly hotel
A superb friendly small hotel / guest house. The owner was a bundle of knowledge and her breakfast each morning was worth the money alone. Definitely will stay here again in the future.

Best Guest House - warm welcome, great service
I travelled to Leven alone to stay over for a football trip. I am so glad I booked to stay at Dunclutha Guest House. From the moment I arrived I was given a very warm welcome from the owner and her lovely cats! The room was perfect in every way with super comfy bed and a great shower. I had one of my best sleeps in a long time with no background noise. In the morning I popped downstairs for a fantastic hand cooked breakfast which was delicious and set me up for the day. I enjoyed chatting to the host who was lovely for the whole time I was there and made me feel very relaxed and welcome. I’ll definitely be going back there bext time I am in Leven. First class service in every way. Thank you so much! Craig

This is an excellent place to stay - a home from home. Short walk to Leven town centre and the beach. Room very comfortable and clean and the homemade shortbread was a treat! Cooked breakfast to order and the nicest fruit salad I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend a stay at Dunclutha.

I really enjoyed a comfortable stay at Dunclutha during a golf trip to Leven. Julie Hind is an extremely hospitable and capable host. My room was a generous size, with every amenity I could have wanted. Located in a classic Leven home, with wide staircase and large bed and bath rooms. Even on a Monday night, I easily found a walkable restaurant (Caledonian Pub and Bistro?) a short stroll from Dunclutha. Parking was on-site. Highly recommended.

Fabulous
A really lovely stay. Gorgeous house, gorgeous quaint room with all you could need and more. Better in some hotels I stayed in! Magic breakfast with all you could want and actually ask you how many eggs you want! No scrimping with them. A very pleasant couple to talk to, and very welcoming to come in to. I would definitely go back again and recommend.

Colin’s 50th birthday golf trip
We stayed for two nights on Friday 25 & Saturday 26 August 2023. Two of us in Leven to play golf. From the moment Julie opened the front door to the moment we left both Julie and Richard couldn’t do enough for us. We had the Tartan room which has its own large bathroom. Not that we rubbed the tops of door surrounds or anything but the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable, (Colin had the double since it was his 50th b’day trip, even though I’m 10 years older with aches and pains, but my single was really comfy), tea/coffee and Julie’s amazing homemade shortie,(of which she gave us a supply to take to the golf) were all readily available. Full Scottish breakfast including porridge and a selection of fruit/yoghurts were fantastic and set us up for the day. If back there playing golf we would definitely stay with Julie and Richard again. You will not be disappointed. Tam and Colin
